The wine tasting is accompanied by a light snack pairing served with each wine. “Beyond the Ashes” is a tribute to our roots and a nod to the iconic 1999 “Cenizas de Timanfaya” wine, which marked a milestone in the Canary Islands—just as the volcanic ashes that shaped the soils continue to define the character of our wines today.

Tenerife’s tradition of viticulture stretches back to medieval times and its volcanic soils give its wines a rich flavor. Visit one of the island's top wineries, the family-run Bodegas Monje, to learn about and sample some signature wines. We start with a relaxed 1-hour cruise along Gran Canaria's volcanic south coast — cliffs, coves, and views you won't get from the beach. Back at the dock in Puerto de Mogán, boat moored, the tasting begins: a 3-course Canarian menu (artisanal cheeses, Chorizo de Teror, olive oil, seasonal fruit, homemade yogurt), each course paired with a different Canarian wine — rosé, aged white, and semi-sweet Listán.
