Fantastic food tour in Bilbao with Irene

This is a brilliant tour. Irene was fantastic fun and shared the rich culture of Bilbao and Basque Country during the evening. The many pintxo and selected wine pairings were of a wide variety and all delicious pulpo, mango/salmon scallops, pork and beef. The cider pouring was great fun too. Excellent excursion from Bilbao

This was a really interesting excursion, combining a very scenic walk to Dragonstone, visits to 3 interesting villages and rounded off with a wine tasting. The tour was well organised and our guide Pedro really enhanced the experience with his knowledge of the history and customs of the region and his delivery was engaging and interesting. Our driver was great too and made it look easy! Would definitely recommend this tour, worth the money.

Amazing!

This tour was more than expected. Especially since we had such a great tour guide, Endika ( I hope I spelled that correctly) To get this tour from a born and raised Basque native was priceless. The history and culture told by Endika was perfect. Be prepared for a hike. We were fortunate to get a cloudy, drizzly day since for days prior it had been over 100 degrees in Gaztelugatxe. Make sure to carry some water. You will be told of this by your tour guide. Our guide also took us around the town of Guernika. As the sun broke through the clouds for a moment, Endi gave us a history lesson of the town. On my vacation through out Spain, I visited many places on tours but this one really left a lasting impression. To learn of the struggles and fight and history of the Basque region and its people was both romantic and brought on empathy as well. I am happy I saved to visit this region last; to keep the memory of the culture, the food, and best of all, the kindness of the people fresh in my mind and heart. Great way to see Bilbao.

Well organised tour around Bilbao. Our guide, Roberto, gave us an interesting history of the city from a locals perspective explaining how Bilbao was transformed from an industrial mining town to a tourist destination. Ride was easy on the well maintained bikes and very flat. Lots of cycle lanes made for a relaxing and safe trip around the City.

It was like meeting up with an old friend you have not seen in ages except this friend spent more than three hours introducing us to the history, culture, food and drink of the Basque Country - an epicurean delight. The best food tour we’ve ever been on! As we visited in early March during the off-season, we were lucky enough to end up on an unplanned private pintxos tour. Kara was an incredible guide - so knowledgeable not only about the food and drinks we were trying, but also about the Basque Country, its rich history, culture, and language. She thoughtfully took our dietary preferences into account when ordering the pintxos, choosing dishes that suited both of us perfectly while still encouraging us to try exciting new things. Every stop felt carefully chosen, and the experience felt incredibly personal. We learned so much throughout the tour, from the traditions behind pintxos to the stories of the old town and the Basque culture. It truly was such a special and personalised experience.
