Great guide and trip! It was beautiful on the river and a good quick trip. We stayed at Mandapa and they were able to stop the boat and let us out at our hotel off the river ! That was awesome! Def suggest doing this trip.

It was a fun activity, but not super thrill seeking. Good for first timers, make sure to pack a change of clothes as you’ll get soaked. Expect a decent run of stairs down to get to the rafts, we didn’t have stairs on the way back. Our ride felt cut short because other tourists needed to be picked up from a specific location. Otherwise, had great time, tour instructor was great and knowledgeable.

Here's what you're signing up for that is not in the description: You will walk approximately 350 steps or the equivalent of a 35 story building down to the river, and climb approximately 500 steps or equivalent of 50 stories back up. The river is most certainly polluted, with not only tons of solid waste, but the palpable smell of feces which is dumped untreated into the river. Be very careful not to let water get in your eyes or mouth, and take the shower they highly recommend afterwards. My son got Bali-belly from this trip.

So what to say the rafting was amazing to say the least. But if they said and I may have not read you need to be fit!!!! 320 steps down and then 430 steps up. I am 58 and my wife is not in the best shape we did it but was sore for days. The lunch was good.

The rafting was very fun with beautiful scenery! Our guide Stinky was very good and super nice! We did the activity with our 4 kids and they enjoyed it! After we went to Bali swing to take pictures and finally we finished with secret monkey forest for a quick walk! Overall great day

Great day of fun and adventure! The guides were so much fun. Make sure you have a lot of energy. Good work out on the stairs and paddling! But you get bintang breaks.

So very well organised trip from beginning to end. The taxi picked us up from hotel promptly and on time. Our rafting guide Marcus sorted us out with lockers and safety equipment and along with two others took us to the starting point then looked after us during the brilliant rafting experience in a relaxed and knowledgeable way. We are both in our fifties and were a little apprehensive but we had no need to worry .We managed the stairs down to the river (think there’s over three hundred of them ) and then up slightly less steps again at the end by taking our time. The rafting experience itself is not too physically demanding,lots of rest when on the raft and then a nice twenty minute break for snacks half way through that you pay for at the end of the trip. Nice showers with towels provided at the end (bring a change of clothing) and the Indonesian meal was delicious before return to hotel You must go rafting when in Bali ,you won’t regret it

Really well organised and very safe. Lots of steps down to the river and back up. Not a problem for us but bear in mind if the knees are not up to it. Our guide was great - telling us when to row and when to rest. Scenery was spectacular. Pick up on time by Robby and great transfers. Showers very welcoming at the end and a nice lunch. 5 stars.

The trip was a blast. We had so much fun. The views are spectacular. We even saw some monkeys on the shoreline. Guides were great. A few cautions for future guests-the trip to get to the starting point is literally a open flat bed truck with benches to sit on (but it's the same for all tours in that area), to get to the river you have to descend 300 very steep stairs (but its worth it). They advise you not to take cameras in your pockets but we carried a waterproof neck pouch (which they will also try to sell you) to protect our phones and pulled the phones out for pictures whenever the river settled down a bit. You will get wet so wear a swim suit and water shoes. They offered showers at the end but we did not bother with them.

Best brown water / white water rafting in Bali. Guide spoke English to give us commands when and how hard to paddle. The 300 steps down to the water + the 200 steps up made for good stair master workout. The 10km rafting trip of out standing 2 and 3 rapids was filled with green jungle and waterfalls. Ample snack bars along the way too.

What a fun way to see the Ubud's lush forest and Bali's longest river. The trek down to the river through rice fields and jungle (they say there are 400 steps) is an experience in itself. The guides really look after you and are happy to answer any questions.

I booked 2 tickets for a river trip. My friend ended up being sick on the day, and I could not get a lift to the office on time. I tried to work out a refund with the rafting company, and their response required Viator to be involved. The result, a family in fact paid extra at the office to exclude me from their trip, I waited at the rafting office for an hour and decided to leave. I contacted Viator to apply for a refund and "unfortunately" nothing could be done. I recommend Ubud Rafting and booking with any other travel company.

From start to finish the whole experience was 10/10. We are driven a short distance from the rafting shop to the starting point of the river. After a 15 minute walk down stairs we arrive at the location. A quick introduction and we are off for an amazing rafting experience along the ayung river that was without a doubt the best thing I’ve ever done.

Rafting and Ubud Tour with Awesome Guide

We had a great time water rafting with Bali Sun Tours. We booked the water rafting with Ubud tour to follow and the whole process was easy and convenient. Our guide Yasa confirmed pickup time and location with us the night before. We were a little nervous because it was our very first time in Bali and we weren’t sure if it would be difficult to find him among the sea of other cars and drivers in front of the hotel. However, Yasa quickly found us and we were on our way. He made us feel comfortable and was incredibly professional, knowledgeable and kind. We went to Bali Bintang Rafting and they provide small lockers for a deposit that is refunded afterwards. They also provide you with a life vest, helmet, paddle and drive you to the location. Rafting was so much fun and our rafting guide kept us safe and back on track whenever we got stuck. There was even a rest stop about half way through where you could give your arms a break and buy snacks or refreshments. Afterwards, lunch is provided and we met up with Yasa again for our Ubud tour. Yasa helped us take some amazing pictures at the rice terraces and took us back to the hotel at the end of our tour. Overall, we had a great time and would highly recommend this activity to anyone visiting Bali.

It was my friend and I’s first time and we enjoyed it ! Definitely a chill experience for first timers—not too rocky or anxiety inflicting. Many stairs to climb before and after the experience for awareness! The lunch buffet served afterwards was delicious !

We went as a group of six and were warmly welcomed by the team. The guides who took us rafting ensured we were safe and made the experience a lot of fun for the whole group. The meal prepared for vegetarians (who eat eggs) was excellent and the portion size was more than adequate - very pleased with the experience and great value for money.

We never got to experience as our driver failed to pick us up and Viator won’t refund. The operator I was on online chat with was unprofessional in handling our case and simply did not acknowledge that their driver was not at the designated time and venue while we waited for almost two hours.

Was picked up by my driver exactly on time . The right level of conversation and very interesting . ( learnt some of the language) Pleasant journey with a stop for Luwak coffee . Rapids team from start to finnish excellent . Safe informative and pleasant . Witty but serious when needed .
