Top Austria Climbing Tours

We have been organizing Via Ferrata courses, climbing courses, and alpine climbing courses in Tyrol since 2009. With patience and experience we offer you a sustainable positive experience in the mountains.

The uber scenic Ötztal Valley offers kids the chance to jump into waterfalls, rappel down cliffs, slide safely off of boulders into natural pools, and experience Mother Nature’s playground with all their senses—aka canyoning. Suitable and safe for those ages 7 and up, this tour takes kids on a half-day adventure, climbing, swimming, and jumping their way through this gorgeous valley.

After private transport picks you up from Salzburg, head to Strubklamm Gorge for a day of canyoning adventures.  After a thorough briefing, you’ll jump, hike, swim, and climb through isolated areas that can only be visited with a qualified guide.  Snack on local chocolate and drinks halfway through the day. Don’t fuss over equipment rental as everything is provided, including climbing gear and a semi-dry suit.

The classic for all canyoning fans! The Strubklamm is one of the largest and longest canyons in Austria. With 17 jumps and long swimming passages you can put yourself to the test. What is special about this gorge is its sometimes extreme narrowness - in some passages with a width of 1 m, only sparse light penetrates to us through the almost 200 m high rock walls, while in other places the sun is reflected in the crystal clear water.

Adventurous travelers will love getting out of Salzburg city for the day and exploring the beautiful gorges of the region. You don’t need to have any experience canyoning as your guides will show you what to do. Jump, abseil, slide, and swim through the canyons, admiring the natural rock and river formations along the way. A fun activity to enjoy with friends or your family.

Traverse rock formations and discover a hidden cave on an alpine hike. You can’t get to Hohe Wand Nature Park by train or bus, so join a private tour. Enjoy an adventurous hike, accessible for beginners but rewarding for more advanced hikers as well. Your guide leads you through quiet, unspoiled forest trails and rocky gorges before your afternoon return to Vienna’s Central Station.

This tour is guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience - even without canyoning experience. The total time is around three hours including getting dressed (thanks to our top equipment, the tour is also possible in bad weather), transfer to the starting point and safety talk with our certified canyoning guides.

Take a break from the busy Vienna streets on a 4-hour private group hike in the Wachau Valley. Provided transportation takes your group of maximum four people from the city and into the valley. Follow your guide on a moderate hike through forests, around rock formations, and past castle ruins. Afterwards, take time to poke around the small town of Dürnstein, then unwind during the return journey to the city.
