History of Holocaust
Very informative story of the Holocaust as experienced in Amsterdam. It brought tears to my eyes. I wish I had written down the name of our guide. She was very good.
The only disappointment was not being able to go into the Anne Frank House. When I purchased the tickets that was my impression.

Anne Frank review
This is misleading. You dont actually go into the Anne Frank house. This was very disappointing and more informational about the Jewish quarter of the city

Well worth your time.
Very rich experience, anround and beyond Anne Frank. Our guide Caase is well prepared, knowledgeable and friendly. Walking Amsterdam with him gives a new depth more than meets the eye. VR experience was a good use of modern technology and allows the viewers a more immediate experience of the annex. It would not haven’t been as impactful if we just went to the Anne Frank house.

The story of Anne Frank is intertwined with the history of WW II in Amsterdam. Caroline was very informative.

Our guide was excellent,...
Our guide was excellent, on time, able to answer questions & gave us a great overview of the “history & story”. We did have tickets purchased separately (not available through Viator) to do a tour of the actual ‘hiding space” of the family & it was so nice to have context prior to completion of that component.

Great tour!
Sophie was an excellent guide who made the tour fun and informative! The Virtual reality tour of Anne’s hiding place was fantastic!

Don't forget
Wonderful time! Makes me sad to think about how many people were lost in WW2. As a Christian, we how there all in Jesus arms now.

Family of 5 had an amazing experience
Finding the starting point for this tour is very difficult. I would suggest meeting in front of the passage way into the courtyard near the lizard sculptures. Otherwise, the tour was exceptional and engaged the whole family ages 11, 14, 40 somethings and 74. We were not able to get tickets for Anne Frank House, but this tour bridged the gap. VR experience was great.

When to visit

Anne Frank House tickets must be purchased in advance; book tickets online on the museum’s website.
Anne Frank House tours are an emotional experience, and appropriate solemnity should be observed.
Visits tend to take about an hour, and a free audio tour is available in nine languages.
Only the modern part of the museum is wheelchair accessible; the secret annex is not.
If you have time, stop in next door, at Prinsengracht 265-267, to see temporary exhibits.
