Upon arrival in Ålesund cruise terminal, meet your guide and settle into your comfortable coach for a day exploring Trollstigen, the Land of the Trolls. Your first stop will be the old Skodje Bridge, around 15 minutes away, where you can enjoy a short walk. There will be a few more stops for fjord and river gorge views, and a small Norwegian-style lunch, before arriving at Trollstigen.
You’ll spend the majority of your time at the viewpoints overlooking Trollstigen. You’ll get great views and photos of the impressive mountain pass’ 11 twisting hairpin bends that travel up the Romsdalen valley, as well as the surrounding mountains and waterfalls.
After a final stop for views, snacks, and souvenirs at Trollstigen Gjestegård, it’s back on the coach for the journey back to Ålesund cruise terminal.

Great trip. The road had just reopened and, of course, some more rocks fell and it was closed so we didn't get to drive down the bottom and have a look see. On the bright side, the visitor center is at the top. There are shops, food and restrooms. You can take off your shoes and wade around in the stream above the falls. Definitely take the trail out to far viewpoint for a great view of the valley below. I was told that driving down takes awhile and if rocks fall or a car has issues it slows way down and you may be stuck there for a long time. That would be worse for me. The stops along the way were fun and had some nice views but trollsteigen is the jewel.

Trollstgen is wonderful, but the opening date of the road changes from year to year.
We sell tickets from 1th of May.
If the road is open, we go.
If it is closed, we offer a trip to Norangsdalen instead, same timing and just as beautiful.

Trond was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Gave us plenty of time at the stops to see the amazing scenery. Small group van was very comfortable and clean. Picnic lunch was good. Our cruise ship changed times and tour adjusted to the new schedule with no problems. We got a little rain on the tour but they had umbrellas if you needed to borrow one. Picked us up at the dock and got us back with plenty of time to spare. Overall a great tour.

A wonderful scenic trip from Ålesund to Trollstigen with stops at amazing waterfalls and the best photo opportunities. Our guide and driver Trond was a wealth of information on the area, and Norway in general and we learnt so much.
The itinerary was clear and adhered to. We felt confident that we would make our "back on board" time for our cruise.
A wonderful tour that I can highly recommend.

This excursion was one of the best we have ever taken. It was very organized and very well laid out. We never felt rushed and everything we saw was incredible. The narrative provided during the tour was excellent and very informative. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone and would take it again if in the area. Great tour with breathtaking views at each stop. Comfortable transport in a mini van. The guide (Trond) is a local from Ålesund and a very nice guy. He had a lot of stories and explanations during the tour. And as the cafetaria were closed for the season he arranged a picknick with local Norwegian food and candy. We loved the hot berry beverage! Trollstigen it self is fantastic. And: do not forget to take the Norwegian Soft Ice, it’s amazing! Highly recommended! And as Trond said to us: The best pictures are the memories in your head, and this tour gave us a lot of them. Thanks Trond and: we’ll be back!

Tour was great. We were given a booklet that explained exactly where we going, how long it took to get there and how long we would stay. The book had pictures and a bit of explanation. The driver and guide seemed knowledgeable.

We were lucky to stumble upon this tour after a previously booked one was cancelled due to lack of people. A great day, with multiple stops that we wanted to experience and professionally informative. Nothing was rushed and ample time to absorb everything around. A lot of memories made plus photos. The tour was excellent and the guides were very educational. What I really liked about this tour was that we went in passenger vans. Not on a big bus like some other tours I seen. We did a total of 5 stops and the tour was 6.5 hrs long but we were very comfortable and never felt rushed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tour to any of my friends. 10/10.

Experience was very good - loved the small group on our mini bus. Trond was very informative and kept us on schedule. The area was really pretty - a great way to start our experience in Norway.
One suggestion, is to leave out the next to the last stop and give more time for lunch.
We would definitely repeat if in Norway again!

We enjoyed the 6+ hour tour with beautiful mountains, spectacular rivers and waterfalls, and int incomparable Trollstigen switchbacks. Be sure to walk to the end of the viewing trail at the top. It's steep, but worth it! After this tour, I'm in love with Norway!

We arrived at the pick up point to be told that the local agent had no knowledge of our booking and in fact the start time of 8.30am was invalid as they start their tours at 9.00am. 6 people from the USA who also booked through Viator had the same issue. The tour was fully booked as were all other tours so we would have missed out completely. Fortunately for us, but not for the Americans, 2 people failed to turn up so we were able to take their place. I have exchanged WhatsApp messages with Viator but have yet to receive an explanation. I will not be booking with them again.

This is a lengthy excursion - 7 hours - so it’s definitely a good value. There were 7 stops on the trip - mainly waterfalls and beautiful scenery. Of the 7 hours, half of it was driving between stops, but the van was very comfortable. The only downside was some of the stops weren’t long enough to shop, eat, or visit the WC because of the crowds.

Very easy to find off of the ship. The mini buses were very comfortable and small group size provided us with a more personalized experience. Tour guide was so informative and funny and the sights were amazing. Highly recommend this tour if you want to experience the beauty of Norway.
