Our guide Bernadette was excellent, and knowledgeable, but we were the only 2 not doing the tour that included the lake cruise and chocolate tasting. They were not going to take us back to the starting point by bus, and suggested we take transit to return. We convinced the guide that we had paid for RT transportation, so the bus came back for us, but arrived 15 minutes after were had cut short the walking tour to meet the bus at the agreed on time and place.

Basically a short bus ride around the city. It was worthwhile seeing some of the neighborhoods outside the main tourist area and hearing a bit of the history of Zürich

In addition, the tour features a walking part through the Old Town, a ferry ride across Lake Zurich, and an aerial cable car ride up to Felsenegg with a stay of around 45 minutes.

I wished to have learned more proper information about this tour, but the tour guide spoke more about insurance companies than the history. My mom ended up staying in the bus to sleep instead of joining the walking part of the tour after this realization. I, on the other hand, decided to just take pics at this point. Anyway, I was tight on schedule which was why I booked this one...

Terrible tour. Bus driver was rude. The bus was hot we were not allowed to even have water. At one point, we stopped for a pic opportunity that no one cared about. We didn’t want get out of bus, but we were forced to get out and stand in hot sun bc driver turned off bus. Tour guide was bizarre acting. The sights were boring and the info was monotonous. Everyone was bored. We left halfway through and got a taxi (at extreme cost 100 Swiss francs) back to our hotel.

All our buses are equipped with air conditioning but unfortunately, it is forbidden by law to run the engine, and thus the air conditioning, while the bus is parked. This is the reason why you had to leave the bus while you were at the photo stop, as it inevitably warms up during the waiting time. Please note that drinking and eating is not allowed in our buses, except bottled water. Other drinks are not permitted in order to maintain cleanliness but also for your own safety.
We have not received similar complaints from other guests and it makes us sad knowing that you did not feel comfortable enough to raise these issues with your guide during the tour. We always strive to address any concerns promptly to improve the experience for our guests.
We are sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations. For future occasions, we recommend you choose a different type of tour that might better match your interests and concerns.

We really enjoyed walking along Lake Zurich and seeing the beautiful views of the lake and the background! Also, getting to walk along the cobblestone streets in Zurich provided a very nice nostalgic flair of what life was probably like in the past.

I had already walked around Old Town but hoped to see more. Well this was a combined tour with those who were also doing a cruise. Spent more time explaining that issue than telling about the sights. Couldn’t really do Old Town due to limitations of a tour bus and the construction plus prep for an outdoor event. Did get some interesting tidbits but disappointed in the lack of real information on the various buildings and the city itself. I have done a lot of tours through Viator and this was the first one that I was disappointed in.

This might be a good idea as the very first thing in Zurich but if you have already spent some time walking along the waterfront, I wouldn't bother. The guide didn't share much history of places, mostly just pointed out a few. The tour also stops for 25-40 minutes at different times to allow picture taking.

The tour could have been so much more. As the bus is going through the city the guide points out the business buildings. Banks, insurance companies, etc. There is plenty of time to tell the story of the city. They could have given some history of the city, what makes it unique compared to other European cities. The buildings shown are all "relatively" new (18th Century) though the city is more than 2000 years old. So much more story to tell.

The local company was a pleasure to deal with. Wonderful brief introduction to the city. Boat tour doesn't operate in winter, so they substituted the ferry; cable car was out of order, so they substituted the cog railway. All done smoothly, efficiently and in good spirit. We showed up 15 mins late to the main station for a 1pm trip and nobody was there to assist us. Nobody called or sent an email so we took the trip time. This was a boring drive trough of the city on a bus with headphones. We spent most tome on the bus sleeping cause there was no interaction and when they did let us out, we had 5 mins at each stop and we did t even get to get out to most stops.

The tour was OK. We did a lot more walking than expected (it's a bus tour) and my wife stayed on the bus because of her bad knee. If you don't stand near the tour guide during these walks, you won't hear the details of what he says.

This was the worse city tour that I have gone on and I've been on many city tours including Barcelona, Madrid, Auckland, Sidney, Melbourne, Nice, Prague,...First off we started late and ended early so the tour was less than 2 hours. It was supposed to be 2 1/4 hour long. We were supposed to have a picture stop and short introduction walk in Old Town. I don't why, but the guide decided to go back to the bus station early and we did not see St Peter church with Europe's largest clock face, the Grossmunster church and the Framunster church with the famous stained glass windows by Marc Chagal. In addition the tour was in German and English. There were only 4 Germans on the bus and over 30 English speaking passengers. Half of the time we were blocks past the sight that was being discussed because the discussion was in German first. Also, our guide was more interested in talking about the rules such as getting back to the bus on time after a photo stop and asking for a tip at the end of the tour. The middle door of the bus was not opened at the end of the tour forcing everyone to exit out the front door. Neither the guide or driver assisted anyone out of the bus, but both had their hands out for tips!
There are other companies that offer city tours in Zurich. I would not recommend this company if you are interested in a city tour of Zurich.

The trip time is short compared to the traffic jam and the distance traveled. The time spent at Lake Zurich need to be increased.
However the trip gives a very good overview of Zurich for one to plan separate visits later for the areas covered.
I recommend to take this trip at the earliest possibility of your arrival to Zurich so you can plan accordingly your individual visits.

The tour never showed up at the airport, we waiting till 1PM and gave up, not only was our money wasted but so was our time we ended up having a cab give us a wonderful tour of the city! Very disappointed -
