Had it not been for the fact that the tour operator seems to have addressed our concerns by relieving the driver of his duties, I would've given a rating of a 1. However, from what I was told, the driver is no longer with the company.
- Our first issue was that the driver was rude.
- Second issue was that while we recognize that the driving in Georgia & Armenia is not what we are accustomed to in the US, we'd been in a number of vehicles prior to this transfer, enough to recognize that his driving speed was excessive and felt very unsafe.
- Third issue is that the driver pulled off on the side of the road TWICE to smoke a cigarette.
- The final issue was that there was an issue at the border that was the result of the driver using a new passport for the first time and it didn't match his old passport number that was on the border paperwork. This is something that the driver and/or transport company should've known to handle ahead of time. After waiting for 1 1/2 hours at the border with no certain time of resolution, we paid over $50 USD to hire a taxi to take us the rest of the way to Georgia.

Yes, the driver is no longer working with our company. We took your feedback very seriously, and after reviewing the situation, we decided to relieve him of his duties.
Regarding the border issue, as soon as we were informed that there was a problem with his documents, we immediately arranged another vehicle. The replacement car arrived at the border approximately 50 minutes after we were notified. The other passengers waited and continued their journey to Georgia free of charge. After your departure, the new driver was already there within 4–5 minutes. We had informed you that another car was on the way.
Concerning smoking, we do not allow drivers to smoke inside the vehicles under any circumstances. They are only permitted to smoke during official stops outside the car.
As for the concern about rudeness, this is not something we tolerate. The driver mentioned that there was an issue related to food being left in the vehicle, but regardless of the situation, we do not find inappropriate behavior acceptable.
Once again, we are very sorry for this experience. From our side, we did everything possible to resolve the issue quickly and ensure that all passengers reached Georgia safely.

This was a no frills, no nonsense transfer from Yerevan to Tbilisi. The van was nice/comfortable and the border crossing went smoothly. The pickup point was hard to find and not marked clearly (we only noticed it because of a small group of people holding suitcases that we approached), so make sure you leave extra time to find it. Also, the price cannot be beaten.
