I took the overnight sleeper train FROM Tblisi to Yerevan and it was awesome! I had a sleeper coupe with a bed, sheets, pillows, phone charger and tiny light. There was dinner service and hot coffee and tea available and the private bathrooms had showers, toilets, sinks, mirrors and were spotless clean! NOW CONTRAST with the bus ride back. The driver didn't speak any English, didn't tell us when there would be a bathroom break or food break, didn't communicate at all with us and was ZIPPING around corners like a crazy person giving everyone car sickness. Then when arriving to "Tblisi" we were all dropped off past 10pm in the middle of nowhere and I had to spend as much as I had spent on the whole awful bus ride on a taxi to take me the rest of the way to my hotel. What an awful ride.. take the train both ways!

Fake company!! Booked the tickets with vaitor for 7 am went to the pickup place showed the tickets to the driver he took a picture of the ticket called someone and refused to let me onboard. Tried calling the company number doesn’t exist, went to their office, and guess what? The office doesn’t exist. Horrible horrible experience that too at 7 in the morning. Worst experience ever. DON’T BOOK THIS!!!

It was very easy. We stopped along for lunch and bathroom. Passport control was easy on both sides of the border.

The drive from Yerevan to Tbilisi was cheap, smooth, fast and we appreciated the professional driving throughout the journey. However, the lack of English made communication difficult for some of us. At times we weren’t sure why we had stopped, and this caused a bit of confusion.
For example, when we stopped for gas we grabbed some quick, not the best food, only to discover a proper lunch stop just a few minutes later. At the border crossing it also would have been helpful to have some explanation of the process, as we didn’t know what was happening or how long it would take.
Overall, the driving itself was ok, but clearer communication in English would have made the trip much easier

Everything was extremely smooth. I got a response immediately when I texted the tour agent. I reached 15mins early and the road was completely empty so got a bit scared in the beginning but the driver came as soon as I texted I was waiting at the spot which was comforting, considering the fact that I was travelling solo.

Should have been a transfer in a private chauffeured vehicle but was actually a seat in a full minivan. Instructions to the departure poiint were confusing. Said to meet at left hand side of the statue in the square, but left from the right hand side.....the side near the left hand of the figure in the statue. Could easily have missed the transfer.

Thank you for your feedback. However, this transfer is NOT PRIVATE, you should have read carefully before booking. And the price mentioned here could not in any case be for a transfer in a private chauffeured vehicle)))
Our minivans depart from left hand side of the statue, the side near the left hand of the figure in the statue, as mentioned in the ticket.

Good experience. The driver is well experienced and he knew the road very well even the minivan was old and there was a snow.

Do not follow the directions on the sight . We did and were dropped off by a taxi to the location pin in the dark of night outside a hospital emergency room in Armenia . Only for the helpfulness of a stranger who rang the company and instructed them to come pick us up we would have been left with two children on the street in the dark. The gentleman who helped us read the meeting point and put it into his Google maps and informed us it was incorrect and he would try and help us . Please do not follow the meeting point guidance and call the number to coordinate.

The van arrived late at meeting point about 10 minutes. No water provided. Description about “free bottom of water”should be removed. At least the driver fulfilled his job sending customer to Tbilisi from Yerevan.

I had the transfer today the journey was real smooth
The driver, unfortunately I don’t know his name, was friendly, punctual and above all excellent
The minibus was very good, the price excellent value for money

There was nothing as it was described. Old minivan, without air conditioner. Broken front window. No bottle of water. The driver was extremly reckless. We will travel by plane back.

Awful, avoid this service. First, Viator's agent confirmed via chat this was for a private car. I asked because the price seemed too low for that to be the case but I did not know the rate for services in Armenia so took Viator's word for it.
For the ride itself, a true mess. The air conditioning was broken and they had no intention of fixing it. 37C/99F temperatures in a packed van...
There was no water provided until 3 hours in, we brought out own thankfully.
The driver drove extremely fast and dangerously often attempting overtakes with incoming traffic, speeding down winding mountain roads etc. The ride was so miserable I was actually ok with this because it meant it would be over faster (either dying or getting there faster)
Fly, find a private car yourself, take the train. Just don't use this service and don't trust Viator.

Yeravan to Tbilisi transfer was very good, driver very friendly and he allowed 2 stops one for exotic Mountain View and another got tea break 🥰

The minivan ride from Yerevan went smoothly. The driver was highly skilled and professional. The only suggestions I would make is to have the exact departure spot from Yerevan clearly demarcated. (Perhaps with a sign.) Also, it would be helpful to have an English speaking employee at the departure point as boarding was a tad confusing.

No water as promised. Driver refused to turn on air condition when it was 38 degrees with 8 sweaty passengers. And he drove like an idiot.
Response from Host, Sep 2022
Dear Customer,
We are very sorry that you had bad experience in travelling with us. We ensure that we have been monitoring the driving speed of our drivers. Our excuses, that no water was provided in the car. However, regarding the AC, we replied to your enquiry before the trip that no AC is available in the cars.

Very professional driver, The weather was so bad and very snowing but I feel safe. I very recommend this transfer.

Low cost for what is ultimately a private transfer shared with a couple of other people. Would recommend.
