    Nice tour with beautiful...

Nice tour with beautiful places, but the organization could have been better. With a bit more attention to time indications, it would have been a more enjoyable experience.

Mixed Experience – Great Places, But Timing and Guidance Could Improve

    AndeFrance_S, Dec 2025
I rated this 3 stars because: 1) Timeliness: The schedule was not followed, and we ended up about an hour late. Punctuality is important for maximizing the experience. 2) Lack of guide/leader: There was no tour guide or tour leader; it was essentially just transportation with a driver. If you’re looking for a guided experience, this is not ideal. It’s more suitable for travelers who prefer to explore on their own. 3) Time management: Time at each stop was quite short, leaving little opportunity to roam, take photos, or fully enjoy the sites. If departures from Yerevan were on time, the trip could have felt more balanced with longer stops. 4) Atmosphere: Without a tour leader, the trip felt quiet and at times dull. A facilitator to start conversations or share insights would have enhanced the experience. On the positive side, the destinations themselves are amazing. I just wish there had been more time at each stop to take photos and wander. Despite the above, my partner and I still had a great time overall.

    Unreal!!

This was a great tour! Some of the sights were out of this world and so glad I did it! If you're going to Yerevan this is a must as not too far to travel either.

We just made it back to...

We just made it back to Yerevan and I want to express my appreciation for the tour! It was amazing, the attractions were impressive and the best part of it was our driver, Lyudvig! He was so patient, kind, attentive and helpful! All of us were happy thanks to him! 😊

Lunch Hour took Two and 1/2 hours!!

    Rebecca_H, Nov 2025
The sites were amazing but we were “trapped” for over two hours for lunch. The driver took us to a restaurant in Garni and we were literally there for over two hours. It took forever to get the food (which was good), but if I knew ahead of time that we’d be stuck for over two hours, I would not have joined this trip. My time in Armenia is too short to have so much time wasted. Plus, the sun is setting in an hour and we still have two sites to see. Very unhappy.

    Great places to visit

    Ewelina_R, Oct 2025
The itinerary was well-organized, and we had enough time to explore each stop without feeling rushed. The places we visited were beautiful and definitely worth seeing. Our driver spoke basic English but was very nice and helpful throughout the trip. Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable experience.

    Great way to see Armenia

    KennethS_K, Sep 2025
Fantastic way to take in top sights around Yerevan, sample Armenian cuisine and meet fellow travelers. As there’s no official guide, you’ll need to educate yourself a little on what you’re seeing, but driver is helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Great tour with a few hiccups

    Judith_W, Aug 2025
The tour goes to great places and the driver was good. Please note the meeting point is not a travel office, it’s a van parked on the street and it confused everyone! This was not clearly communicated beforehand. We also left 30 mins late while waiting for others and then had to stop for gas. This s a driver only, no guide. It worked fine for me but may not for others. I’d still recommend this tour.

    Do not book here

    Erica_T, Jul 2025
I only got 48H in Armenia so I planned everything accordingly to maximize the sights that I could see. I booked two tours from Viator from different operators. First tour operator never contacted me so I initiated to contact them first to confirm if my tour will push through to which they said yes. I had to reconfirm if I will just go to the meet up point because no further instructions were given. On the day of the tour, despite arriving early, I could not find the group. I contacted the operator via whatsapp. Turns out their name in viator was different from the tour I was going to join. They never told me who or what I was supposed to look for. When I found them, one guy was forcing me to join another tour. I said no. He was forcing me to join a tour that was half of the places I was supposed to see on the first tour I booked, and half from the second tour I was supposed to do from a different operator the next day. I already paid for my two bookings and that meant I will miss out on some places I was supposed to see. He was telling me to ride the van because “he was doing me a favor”. I was furious and told the operator I was gonna complain. Operator told me he was going to refund me if I exited the van immediately. We were already in the middle of nowhere so how was I supposed to go back on my own. My trip and mood were already ruined because of them. Plus the driver although nice, spoke very little English. He did not turn on the AC the entire 9 hours of the tour. It was scorching hot outside. When he tried to turn it on, hot air was coming out from the AC. The van was not well maintained at all.

    Overall, the tour was...

Overall, the tour was good and the driver was polite. However, this was not the tour I paid for. I booked a day in advance a tour to Khor Virap. I showed my ticket and QR code to the company before getting in the car and they told me twice that this is my tour and there was no need to worry. On the way out of Yerevan, I heard a conversation between the driver and other tourist in Russian /which I don't know/ and figured out we were going to Sevan lake which is a completely different destination. I asked the driver and he confirmed that this is not my route. Nobody asked me if I am OK substituting my tour with a different one. Moreover, I had already planned visiting Sevan lake and the surroundings on the next day with another company. I asked for a contact of the manager which was not provided. The driver barely spoke English even though the tour was advertised as "English-guided". The tour was held mainly in Russian and I didn't receive any information about the landmarks we visited. I felt stressed and dissatisfied.

Easter in khor virap etc etc

    Andrea_C, Apr 2026
experience ok, only khor virap would have needed at least 10/20 minutes more, otherwise trip went well. The only flaw was not a guided tour, he just anticipated us before visiting the places something.

Pretty easy to make even if at the moment the connecting road in the first part of the tour is being redone and therefore a bit unsympathetic to travel. There is no accompanying guide but only a driver who speaks a little English and communicates at what time to return to the various meeting points as well as give some additional summary information on the places visited.
