The experience was amazing. I became 91 a month before the trip. I am legally blind, and deaf ,but oh how God has blesses me by having experienced the Northern lights and the ice castle and the terrific sculptures and fantastic art. The guides were tremendous and so kind and patient.

We booked the 4 day experience with this company as we thought it would be easier than puttinig different activities together - and it was. I highly recommend NWT Desinations. It was a tight team of 5 (that we saw and met) they were well organised informing us what would happen next, when we would be picked up, and looking after us when on the activity.
The Ice Fishing was way better than I thought it would be. they had heated huts for us to sit in and provided a yummy lunch.
The dog sledding was great, but as it was bitterley cold (March) only lasted 20 mins - but that was enjoyable - longer would not have been. It was also thoughtful that as soon as a few of us had done our ride, our trip back to accommodation was arranged - rather than waitiing for everyone to finish. Well organised!!
Unfortunately our ski-do trip was a non-event as one lady in the group of 6 ended up off the trail 3 times requiring rescuing... while the rest of waited... in the cold... we were offered another time to go out but it was too late in the trip, we were leaving the next day.
The Northern Light lodge that the company owns is fabulous. A roaring fire, hot drinks and snacks inside. Pop out to the deck, check the lights, take pics, than back in to warm up. A wonderful set up. It is about a 30 min drive from town - the bus itself is barely above freezing... but all part of the experience....

The daytime excursions are a little short. However, due to the extreme cold while we were visiting that was probably a good thing.

This was a really fun and diverse trip. We saw the Aurora all 3 nights. We went to the cabin to watch the first night. The second and third night we watched from the lodge and the popular Ice Road. Hot chocolate and snacks were served each night. The tour guides took pictures for us all. The guides were professional, knowledgeable and very friendly and helpful. In addition to the Aurora viewing late at night, we did dog sled, snow mobile, ice fishing and the city tour. Having the provided mits, boots, pants and parka was great. Shout out to Leon, Mimi, Mo, and Peter.

Perfect balance, great service, well synched operation. Their package covers most of the possibilities in the area, drivers and guides are courteous, punctual and knowledgeable. On top of that we saw amazing aurora! Highly recommend this package.
