Our guide, Wayan, was great! He explained where we were going and all the food choices we would have. He asked what our preferences were and how we liked spicy food. Indonesian food is very spicy. We were excited to try truly local food and this tour was great for that. The entire experience was authentic. Wayan was great to hang with and gave us more than just a food tour as he explained life there. We definitely recommend this tour for those wishing to move away from the touristy areas.

Guide was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Food quality was okay. I’m not sure what I was expecting but the conditions of where the food was made and how it was handled made me nervous. No gloves or other safety measures taken.

Our night at the market with Amba was such a great experience. He taught us so much about the culture and food. He was also a great conversationalist! Can try any food u like there, seems safe. If you are worried adout street food, its cooked on the spot, although using fuingers can be a bit worrysome. And cheep clothing. Usual .arket fare. But still worth the effort.

Really enjoyed the visit to the night market in Gianyar. It was good to see a bit of the ‘real Bali’ just outside of Ubud. Our guide Wayan was excellent: really informative yet friendly, and he helped us find some really good foods to taste. He also made sure any tastes, allergies etc were catered for.
