My driver and guide, Gusti, was absolutely amazing when it came to this experience. Punctual with timing and considerate with the information he gave me, he went above and beyond teaching me the history of the temple, finding me the best place for the dance and was incredibly flexible with the dinner options to choose from. He even managed to get back a phone that was stolen from a monkey at the temple! He was amazing and really helped drive the entire experience.

Uluwatu temple and Kecac dance

We had an incredible time visiting the Uluwatu Temple and watching the mesmerizing Kecak dance performance at sunset. The views were breathtaking and the cultural show was absolutely worth it, though the traffic jam getting there and back was completely awful.Thankfully, our experience was saved by our driver, Jacky, who was absolute perfection. He was extremely punctual, welcomed us with great kindness, and showed superb driving skills while navigating the chaotic traffic smoothly. Jacky also acted like a personal bodyguard, shielding us and keeping us perfectly safe from the cheeky monkeys at the temple. After the show, we headed to Jimbaran Beach for a seafood dinner, which was good and tasty but definitely felt very touristy. Overall, this is a must-do Bali experience, and we highly recommend asking for Jacky to ensure a safe and smooth ride.

We apologize if this experience did not meet your personal expectations. Many wild monkeys live in Uluwatu Temple area and can sometimes disturb visitors. Because of this, your tour was accompanied by our experienced guide to ensure you did not lose your belongings and remained safe throughout the entire trip. Our Kecak and fire dance may be unique and different from fire shows in other countries that you might have imagined, which may be why you felt there was no fire performance. As the most popular show in Bali, Uluwatu Kecak and Fire Dance is always full of tourist who want to watch during sunset, and for sure the crowds are difficult to avoid. we hope the rest of your holiday in Bali could live up your expectations.

We had a wonderful time. Our guide and driver was Madru. He knew all the back roads so we didn’t get stuck in the chaotic Bali traffic. We were able to get to the temple ahead of time. He also made sure everything was taken care of at the temple and guided us through the temple making sure no monkeys would come for our belongings. The Kecak Dance was an amazing and highly recommend for all. Our kids loved it. Dinner was also good and Madru made sure we were back at Hotel safely and quickly.

The drive to the temple from Kuta has a bit of traffic so be prepared. The monkeys are naughty and will take items so be careful. Naya our tour guide was friendly and informative. He took us to an unscheduled stop at a coffee shop for us to try Kopi luwak coffee.

We had a great experience at Uluwatu. Views are incredible, and the Kecak Dance is a must do. It is an amazing performance with a beautiful backdrop and the crowd really gets into it. Ampitheatre seats are pretty uncomfortable though and it’s very crowded. Worth a little discomfort though. The monkeys are a thing. Our guide Wayan did a great job in protecting us from the easy traps most tourists fall into. Definitely saw hats and phones being stolen at weak moments. We finished the night with dinner at Jimbaran Beach. Again, buck list ticked. Biggest downside is the traffic. It was a long day to do it all together from our villas in Nusa Dua. Again, Wayan did a great job for us though. I’d hate to have tried to navigate that drive.

Fantastic experience. The temple site is breathtaking and the Kecak dance was engaging and interesting. There were people of all ages including children and everyone was obviously enjoying the show. Our driver Wena was excellent. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. The car was comfortable and spotlessly clean. We particularly enjoyed the side trip on the way there visiting a coffee producer and tasting over 12 local teas and coffees including the famous coivet coffee. Highly recommended. Great value for money.

Good experience about Bali’s heritage and culture. Our tour guide, Suta, was excellent. He assisted us to sit in a very good area facing the stage with sun setting over Indian Ocean on background, which enabled excellent video and picture shots. The guide also provided a lot of helpful tips. Seafood dinner after the show at Jimbaran beach was also excellent. I highly recommend the tour. Suggest to bring a cushion or a foam pad for seating for the show at it can get uncomfortable on wood strips and concrete.

Good tour for reasonable price

Pros - driver/guide Wena. He arrived on time, he was a safe driver, helped us navigate through Uluwatu Temple, knows good photo spots, and suggested the best seating position for the show and the best way to exit the amphitheater. He knows the shortcuts and less traveled roads allowing us to return to our hotel in Nusa Asia by 8:30pm. Cons - Dinner by Uluwatu Temple. Our guide gave us the option to either having Seafood BBQ dinner on the beach in Jimbaran or the same Seafood dinner at the restaurant close to the temple so it will save about one hour driving time to Jimbaran. We opted to have dinner near the temple. The restaurant was literally right next to the parking lot of Uluwatu Temple. It was convenient, but it was so noisy and having dinner overlooking the busy noisy street was less than ideal. The food was so so. But good for someone who’s short on time. Suggestions - if you specifically want to pick your seat in the amphitheater (i. e..want to sit on the front row)arrive at least one hour before the show. Seats fill up quickly.

We had an amazing experience with our driver and guide, Suta, for the Uluwatu Fire Show tour in Bali! He was punctual, had great communication, and made the entire experience smooth and stress free from start to finish. We arrived at Uluwatu early, so he took us to a coffee farm beforehand, which ended up being such a fun and unexpected stop. He made sure we got great seats for the Kecak Fire Dance, helped keep the monkeys away, and the included seafood beach dinner afterward was delicious. You can tell he genuinely cares about his guests having a great experience. Highly recommend booking with him during your time in Bali. Ask for Suta!

Excellent tour (almost) spoiled by a very bad dinner

The Driver/Guide Wena was excellent helping us manage our time well. Also knew a lot of back roads to and from the temple so t he st we didn’t spend hours in traffic jams. Warned us about the monkeys in the temple and ensured our safety. Was even carrying treats for the monkeys in case one of them made off with our phones or glasses The dinner however was very forgettable with poor service and very badly cooked food some of which was inedible . Thankfully the attentiveness of the Wena, the temple visit and the dance show made up for the really quite bad food

Wayan made our Uluwatu Temple experience unforgettable! He was incredibly kind, a safe and smooth driver, and shared so much interesting history about the temple and Bali along the way. He also took amazing photos for us at the temple. He even held our backpacks the entire time so we didn't have to. The Kecak dance was so unique and beautiful, the temple views were stunning, and the monkeys were definitely cheeky 😂 but Wayan always made sure we stayed safe and knew what to watch out for. Highly recommend him if you want a fun, stress-free, and memorable Bali experience!

After reading the reviews, I was nervous about visiting the Temple since the monkeys are deemed aggressive. However, Wena, my guide ensured my safety which allowed me to take pictures and focus on the tour of the temple without disruption from the monkeys. The stories are real about the aggressive monkeys. Keep jewelry, sunglasses, hats/caps, water bottles, and more importantly PHONES in your pocket, bags, or purses. Otherwise, the monkeys WILL take them. That's the downside of visiting the Temple ' the hundreds of monkeys throughout the grounds. The Temple is located on a cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean....AMAZING view and worth the visit. The Kecak Dance is overrated. I could have skipped it. My five star rating is primarily based on my guide Wena and the magnificent views.

It’s a good tour. The Kecak dance was better than expected with a funny element. Although it was a cloudy day, we did see partial sunset, and the seafood dinner at Jimaran Beach was really fresh. Agus, our driver was kind and informative. We had a good tour under his care.

Uluwatu Temple and Dance

Had an amazing time visiting the uluwatu temple and dance performance! Our guide Yoga was so kind and helpful, he helped us get to the performance on time and not wait in the long lines. He also recommended a great restaurant nearby. Would definitely recommend doing this trip and especially working with Yoga! He was amazing

It was so great tour to enjoy Kecak dance performance one day. Before the kecak, the drover took me to the small tea and coffee factory in the woods and this place was calm and nice atmosphere as well. When it comes to Kecak dance, it was amazing!! About 50 mins performance though, I really enjoyed it very much. The driver Ariana is so knowledgeable of traditional culture, history and so on. I highlly recomend you!!
