Our tour guide was Jacky from ECO BALI TOURS. He was FANTASTIC. His communication with us ahead of time was spot on. And he took great care of us at the Temple, protecting us from the “cheeky monkeys.” He let us know what to expect, brought us extra water, and found us perfect seats for the show after touring the Temple with us. 15 out of 10 rating!!!

We loved the Uluwatu experience and the Kecak dance. We visited the coffee plantation as well. Our driver and guide Wayan was very kind and helped us guide our way past the monkeys in the temple area. He brought us printouts to follow the story behind the dance which was very helpful for my kids. We got to admire beautiful sunset over the Indian Ocean. Highly recommend!

A Dissapointing Night

The show itself was OK and our Guide Wayan was very good. Wayan picked us up on time but accidents on the road had traffic build up ruining the event and the day for us. We managed to get there right on time for the show and so had no time to see the temple. The traffic was horrible so had to have dinner somewhere and the whole day was blah. No dinner at the beach but a restaurant somewhere, and not able to see the temple. Very dissapointing but it was not the fault of the guide. Rated it a 3Star because I can honestly and in good spirit rate it anything short of neutral based on what we had and did not have to experience.

Wonderful experience with our driver, Widi. Pick up and drop off at our hotel went seamlessly. He was very knowledgeable about the area and answered all of our questions along the way. Incredible experience - horrible guide/driver

The temple and dance show were incredible, HOWEVER, our experience was negatively impacted by our driver/tour guide, Naya. First, when Naya arrived to pick us up, he made it a point to mention that we lived far and he seemed annoyed by having to be our driver for that reason. On our way to the temple, he pulled over on the side of the road, and ran into the trees to pee - very unprofessional. Once we made it to the temple, he basically rushed us through the entire experience and didn’t really give us a tour at all. He kind of just followed us around and offered (pressured) to take pictures for us a couple of times. I only recall him telling us one thing about the temple, aside from “watch your things with the monkeys”. The worst part was that he made a very inappropriate and insensitive comment during our “tour”. A place was flying overhead, and he pointed to it and said, “Look! It’s the US bombing Iran!” And then he proceeded to laugh. This made us very uncomfortable as 3 Americans, not only because we don’t support the war, but also because people losing their lives to war is not a laughing matter. The comment was disgusting and kind of ruined much of the experience. Finally, after all of the rushing through the “tour” he didn’t even make sure we got to the dance in a timely manner to have even a decent seat. We barely got seats and got to them just as the show was starting. We had no time to read what the show was about or even prepare ourselves for it. Overall, the dance and temple were incredible, and I would highly recommend, but be sure to request driver/tour guide other than Naya.

Gusti was very knowledgeable and helpful. He made it so easy and fun, and was also very patient with our children (7 & 11). It was such a great experience! The temple is beautiful. Watch out for the monkeys, they stole hats and glasses off people around us. I would recommend that you bring an umbrella or something for shade as you have an hour wait in the sun before the dance in order to get good seats.

AMAZING Temple Tour, Show, and Dinner

First, we had an AMAZING driver and tour guide, Budi. Budi was patient, kind, informative, and very helpful. If you get Budi, you are LUCKY! the first stop was the Uluwata Temple. The temple is beautiful with many scenic places to take pictures. Upon entry, Budi informed us to put away items like cell phones, sunglasses, etc so that the monkeys won't steal them. Lo and behold, we watched many people have their phones and sunglasses stolen. We fed the monkeys and they were so adorable taking the food from our hand. Next was the Kecak dance. The virtual display of the their culture through story in dance and chant was so amazing to see. The arena was PACKED! Lastly, we went to have a bbq seafood dinner on the beach. It was a 10/10 experience!

Wonderful Tour Guide- Wena

Our tour guide, Wena, arrived on time, was very kind and considerate to the fact that we had already had a long day and didn't mind us napping on the car rode to Uluwatu temple. He was insightful ahead of entering the temple to ensure my glasses and hat were not taken away by the monkeys. He was very helpful in the temple. In sharing information, education on our smart the monkeys are telling us about the temples. He was helpful with guiding us on where to sit for the ceremony to get the best view. The dinner was really good; the lobster we got was a little pricy after we compared to other restaurants and the service was a little lack luster at first. We were given a table but not asked our drinks or given any guidance on the food coming or if we would get a menu. Again the food was really good, just little things for the restaurant. Restaurant staff in Bali is a little different as you have to make eye contact and ask for service as opposed to someone constantly coming by. Wena was wonderful, very kind, informative and helpful in answering our questions.

The tour of Uluwatu and...

The tour of Uluwatu and the kecak dance were excellent. Our driver/ tour guide Putu was also excellent. Unfortunately, the dinner experience was very poor. Immediately upon arrival there was an up sell. Once the up sell was declined we were left at a table awaiting service for over 15 minutes while, customers who came afterwards were served. We contacted our guide and he got us served. The meal advertised as a feast was 3 small shrimp, 3 small clams, a few scraps of fried squid and 2 small pieces of fish. A vegetable, rice, water and a tasteless coconut were also served. The assorted seafood was basically a appetizer sample plate. The restaurant was Kampoeng Seafood. Do not book the dinner portion. Definitely a waste of time and money

First day in Bali tour

We did the early show at 6 pm with my family. Our driver was great and was a smooth ride and comfortable car. We enjoyed the coffee and tea sampling prior to seeing Uluwatu temple. The temple was nice, but a bit rushed. We knew this was due to getting a better seat for the show. Was nice seeing the monkeys around. Show was nice. A bit long. All in all this was a great tour company and driver/tour guide. We enjoyed ourselves!

We took the Uluwatu Sunset, Kecak Dance, and Dinner Jimbaran Beach tour today, and it turned out to be a very enjoyable and well-paced experience. The morning was relaxed, which we really appreciated after a few busy days. In the afternoon, everything flowed nicely—from the beautiful sunset views at Uluwatu Temple, to the unique and captivating Kecak Fire Dance, and finally a lovely seafood dinner by the beach at Jimbaran Beach. Our driver was punctual and very attentive. He didn’t just drive us—he walked with us to each viewpoint, making sure we didn’t miss anything along the way. That extra care made the experience feel smooth and comfortable. One small tip: be prepared to sit under the sun for a while before sunset during the performance. It can get quite hot, but once the sun goes down, the atmosphere becomes truly special. Overall, a memorable and nicely balanced tour to end the day.

A must see sunset and show!

We had such a wonderful experience! The scenery at Uluwatu was very mesmerizing, especially during sunset. The Kecak dance itself was very exceptional! It was a great way to learn Balinese traditional dance and history of their religion. We would recommend to book the first show, which was at 6pm. It was worth checking out and so many cheeky monkeys! Be careful with your belongings and always follow instructions from your tour guide. We were lucky that our tour guide, Pak Putu Ajus, was very knowledgeable and also familiar with a lot of the monkeys lol, so we were definitely in good hands! We finished the night off with dinner at Jimbaran beach. It was nice to have dinner by the beach under the star and a cool breeze; very relaxing. Also, the restaurant our tour guide chose was very delicious! A great way to end the night!

An Incredible Introduction to Bali

Terrific guide/ driver, Naya, who was charming and informative. Our first stop was a peaceful tea and coffee garden which was a peaceful oasis amid the hubbub of Bali. We tried several delicious teas and coffees which were very refreshing. Next up was Uluwatu Temple. It is located on the coast and was beautiful and Naya knew where to take our best pictures! He also showed us the wonderfully amusing monkies that live on the temple grounds. He the ushered us to the best seats for the Kecak Fire Dance, which was a beautiful spectacle made even more special by the amazing sunset colors! After the show, he took us to Jimbaran Beach for an incredible seafood dinner on the beach. This was a terrific experience made even better by a knowledgable and helpful guide!

Travelers should know it's two very long rides and a lot of waiting time, and the dinner at Keopong Seafood at Jimbaran Beach wasn't very good, and it was cold.

We have checked with our team in charge and and found that the travel time from your hotel in Nusa Dua to Uluwatu was approximately 45 minutes, which is considered a normal duration. However, the trip from Uluwatu to Jimbaran took about an hour due to the high volume of visitors leaving Uluwatu at the same time. We sincereley apologize regarding your dinner experience. We will ensure this issue is addressed with the restaurant. We really appreciate your feedback as it will helps us to improve our service.

So-so experience

My driver Agus was considerate and professional. Dance interesting cultural event. Venue unsafe, during the performance one of the dancers-the White Monkey-kicked burning grass close to the audience, this is part of the dance. A small arena jam packed with viewers,no emergency exits, minimal signage, only way out a narrow corridor. This place is a calamity waiting to happen. The temple is difficult to access for anyone with even minor mobility issues, this was not specified by the company. The "seafood dinner " was the biggest disappointment, with minimal portions of seafood (plenty of rice) of low quality. I was offered higher quality items, for what were obviously outrageous prices. Not recommended. After this first Bali visit, which I will repeat, I advise doing some previous research, avoiding all tours,and just engaging a driver for a much lower rate and engaging in activities of choice. The Balinese are very nice and welcoming, and there is much to experience.

Overall, our experience was good… our driver, Ariana, pick us up on time and dropped us back at our hotel in at a reasonable time, he was friendly and a very good driver. The Uluwatu temple was spectacular and the Kecak dance was very interesting and we were really happy we went. The dinner however was not the best…. the restaurant was less than impressive and the staff weren’t very friendly. We were told as soon as we arrived that the portions were small and should consider ordering something else to supplement it, which we didn’t. Our meal consisted of a plate with a corn soup, 3 shrimps, 3 clams, 2 pieces of fish, fried egg, spinach and rice… it was plenty for my husband and I.

Wonderful Tour

Mur was my guide and I would highly recommend this tour with him!!! He picked me up from Sanur harbor and drove me over to Uluwatu. He was even willing to stop close to the GWK park to get a picture of the giant Wisnu statue since we were going to be close to it. That was very kind. While walking around Uluwatu he explained all the history and culture of the grounds. He also brought some snacks to feed the monkeys so that they would get close and able to take pictures of them while avoiding them getting too close to steal things, which the Uluwatu monkeys are well known for. After walking around the park, he then got my ticket and the show information page for me and dropped me off. The Kecak show was a very interesting interpretation of the Hanuman and Lord Rema story. Hanuman did make for quite the entertaining character when he was on stage.

Beautiful culture experience

This was an amazing experience of seeing a different side of Bali. The Uluwatu temple is amazing and the location is indescribable. Our guid Agus was very knowledgeable about the temple and the area. Also, he gave is a warning ahead of time regarding the monkey’s who grab stuff which was nice of him. Watching the Kecak dance with cliff views was amazing and thanks ti Agus he directed us to a good seats.
