Amazing experience learning about the culture and food of Bali, had the best evening ever! Ron was an absolute fantastic host, friendly, smiley and very jokey. He made us feel so welcomed throughout our experience and the foods itself was incredible! The whole experience of this from the set up, the people, the food and vibe was just perfect we couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Lesung and recommend this class to anyone of all ages as well as couples, friends or solo. Please support this local small business and we hope you have has much fun as we did!

We had the most amazing experience at Lesung Bali with Ron as our instructor, who is also the owner, and a wonderful guide to Balinese culture and food. A great bonus for us was getting picked up directly from our hotel by the lovely driver, Adi! From the moment we arrived, Ron’s passion for Balinese culture and cooking was infectious. He welcomed us with tea/coffee and a sweet treat, followed by an insightful explanation of the traditional Balinese houses and any questions we had about Balinese culture/life. The garden tour was a delightful bonus, where Ron explained the local ingredients we’d be using. Even for those who aren’t skilled in the kitchen, Ron made everything easy to follow, and we all felt comfortable and confident. His fun and approachable teaching style had us laughing the entire time, making the class both informative and enjoyable. The dishes we made were absolutely delicious, and we chose the romantic dinner option, which was decorated with beautiful flowers and candle light. It was so special and well thought out—it truly made the evening unforgettable. We can’t recommend Ron and his cooking class enough! Whether you’re a foodie or just looking for a unique cultural experience in Bali, this is a must-do!

Our host/instructor, took the time to explain Balinese living and traditions. So before we started cooking we sat and drank tea. Overall the experience was better then expected, also he had a great sense of humor.

Nous avons vécu une expérience incroyable avec Ron de Lesung Bali lors d’un cours de cuisine balinaise et son dîner romantique aux chandelles. Son accueil chaleureux, son humour et son sourire ont rendu le cours encore plus agréable. Le petit plus : la visite au début d'une maison balinaise avec son jardin, suivie d'un petit encas thé/café et de son petit gateau indonésien. Une expérience inoubliable qui nous plonge instantanément dans la culture balinaise et que nous recommandons à tous !
