Cooking Class Beyond Our Expectations!

Our experience with Mateo was wonderful! We had the honor to spend several hours in his home one on one, learning how to make pasta and the filling for the ravioli and tortellini, a vegetable dish and garlic sauce, and tiramisu. When everything was ready we then ate what we created at his dining room table along with a glass of wine and an after dinner liqueur. Such a unique experience that went way beyond our expectations! Mateo is such a kind and generous person and my husband and I will always cherish our time with him. We were so fortunate to have the private instruction and will soon purchase a pasta machine to begin making our own pasta at home!

I had great communication with the host/chef regarding details on how to arrive at location. The environment was very warm and friendly. The instruction was very thorough and I learned so much. I was introduced to everything from vegetables I had never used before to using a pasta machine and even knives and how to use them. I learned about the local cuisine and the history of how recipes and methods have evolved over time. I enjoyed dining with Matteo and his wife after we had prepared our meal. I highly recommend this experience with Matteo.

The most memorable was when Matteo had us make a Pesto using kale and walnuts. We found it surprisingly tasty, having only had basil and pine nut based pesto in the past. Delizioso!

My in-home chef instructor, Matteo was wonderful! Matteo went that morning to a local market to get fresh ingredients. It was so fun and I learned so much! Many things that I can repeat on my own, and he sent many recipes and places to eat in Turin. Plus, I feel like I got an insight into a true Italian home, cuisine and area. It was very intimate. I highly recommend this for someone on their own, like me, or a group!
