After training in basic diving skills and underwater communication at La Calypso Dive Center, travel to Casa Cenote to put your newfound knowledge into action. - Diving 12 hours before flying is not recommended. All participants will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to diving. Some pre-existing medical conditions (eg asthma, heart conditions, etc) may prevent you from diving, please consult your doctor

- The success or failure of the activity is not the responsibility of the guide or the diving center. Once you enter the water and begin the dive, no refunds will be possible.

For a first time scuba experience, was great. Slowly went through stages to get comfortable with scuba. Was a great discovery experience, would love to go scuba again!

This trip was amazing and absolutely worth the money! Mariano was very laid back, funny, kind, and was able to explain the basics of scuba diving in a clear way that made me feel secure about giving it a shot. The cenote was absolutely beautiful, and surprisingly fun to explore. I had imagined a big well to sort of practice scuba, but instead it was a fairly deep river winding through the jungle. It was not only a learning experience, but it actually gave a taste of what scuba diving is like as well.
Can’t recommend enough, 10/10!

Very kind and great guide. Met Federico at the center just off the strip to get some information and did a great first time dive in the cenote. So beautiful and clear! Saw beautiful fish and blue crabs and even spotted Pancito. Amazing experience and there was a photographer who took our photos and video. Our guide was so kind and patient with us when there we had nerves or panic. He even gave us a recommendation to continue our padi training over the week. Highly recommend!!!

This was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I chose to do this for my birthday and I will remember this experience for the rest of my life. I feel like I had an actual scuba diving experience even though I had never experienced before. Our instructor was knowledgeable, patient, and empathetic. I will return!

10/10 experience. So beginner friendly but also challenging which made it so worth it! Our instructor was such a gem and made us feel super safe and comfortable. The Cenote is stunning. Sparked a new love for diving and I can’t wait to go again!
(Make sure you eat a good breakfast before going. You will need all your energy! Prepare to sleep soooo good after. We were exhausted!)

brenda was an incredible instructor and guide to us as my partner and i have never dived before. even though it was my first time, she explained the equipment, procedure, and safety protocols so thoroughly and had a calming demeanor in the water which eased my nerves and i truly felt like i could trust her with my life. we practiced before beginning our dive and fixed any potential problems (mostly psychological). the actual dive was mindblowing, like entering another world! we saw needle fish, crabs, colorful fish, and ponchito the alligator! the way the light shines into the water is heavenly. overall, i felt so grateful for the opportunity to do my first dive in casa cenote with la calypso diving center! brenda was the perfect guide for us as she shared beautiful, personal stories about her family and diving experience. i could tell she was deeply connected to the water as she shared that she named her son Akbal, meaning 'blue night' for when light enters a dark cave and reflects off the water. we will definitely be back!!! ♥️🤿🐊

Federico made the whole thing very comfortable. It was genius that there was no boat ride (which wouldn't bother me, but I have family members who can get motion sick, and would enjoy Scuba a lot more this way), and the spot we went to was a lot, a LOT of adventure yet easily reachable in the time we had to scuba. Federico spoke English well, which helped me a lot. Really great experience.

Plan for a half day trip, back before lunch. Julio was an exceptional guide and made us feel extremely comfortable.

This experience was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. In fact, it’s safe to say that it was probably the best.
First, I needed to have this take place on a Wednesday because I was flying out on Friday and wanted to give at least 48 hours before getting on a plane. They didn’t have any appointments available but the rep Paola went to work and reached out to multiple diving instructors until she found one that could do it. She went above and beyond to ensure I was able to experience scuba diving.
The guide Fede was amazing. I don’t know how I would have been able to do this if it wasn’t for his calming and patient demeanor. In the beginning, I was a little anxious with the breathing aspect and trying to figure it out. But he stayed with me the entire time, helped me with the jacket and breathing tips. After a few breathing exercises, we did the dive.
Fede is a pro. He kept a watchful eye on me the entire time and checked if I was okay throughout the entire experience.
I’m really grateful for his cool energy because it made me feel confident in myself and allowed me to enjoy the water without getting panicked.
If you ever want to learn how to scuba dive, this is the place to do it at. They are so professional and everything was just super seamless.
Now I’m hoping to get certified so that I can continue diving in other places.

My daughter (11) and I did our first dive with Martino at La Calypso. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Martino was excellent. It started at the dive center going over the equipment and basics in order to make the dive a safe one. Then to the cenote to get in the water and experience a truly unique 1st dive. Most people have to do it in a pool, but we got see great rock formations and fish. Martino was an expert and very patient with my daughter and I. Not mention he can speak French, Spanish, Italian and English. We had a French couple with us and he no problem switching back and forth. I would recommend this to anyone, it was definitely worth the price.

Hands down to the BEST experience I have EVER had scuba diving!
A few years ago I tried scuba diving for the first time in Australia and I had the worst instructor. He was not patient, everything was rushed, and I did not even get to scuba dive. At first I felt insecure of trying it again but I am so glad I did. Alessandro (Alex) was our instructor, here in Tulum and he was absolutely AMAZING! He was patient, understanding of my previous trauma, and guided me every step of the way. Not only did he help me have an unforgettable experience but Alessandro also helped me regain my trust. I highly recommend him. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience and he encouraged me to never let my fears control me. I can't wait to scuba dive again!

Brenda our tour guide was awesome ! She made a first time scuba dive experience calm and super gratifying . When you are underwater exploring the water is crystal clear and awesome to feel apart of the underwater world we haven’t seen as non scuba divers ! Recommended 100 percent

This dive was incredible. Alex, our guide/instructor, was so warm and kind. Scuba diving in Casa Cenote was amazing! Lots of fish and blue crabs to spot. The scenery underwater was breathtaking. Though we were on a beginners dive, some portions of the dive are pretty intense, and go fairly deep into the cenote, if you’re looking for it!

Excellente! My girlfriend and I had an awesome experience scuba diving. I am a certified diver and my girlfriend does not have her license. This experience was a perfect way for my girlfriend to experience scuba diving and keep me entertained as well. The cenote was beautiful and unlike any other dive I have been on. Our guide, Maratino was awesome and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this excursion.

The cenote diving experience was beyond expectation for my friends and I. It was definitely one of the major highlights of our Tulum trip. Probably the best tour for your first time diving experience. Amazing and supportive guide, helping all the time. First he explained us all the basics and answered questions. Then in the cenote we did some exercises to make sure we were ready and then about 1 hour of diving around the cenote- an amazing experience!
