Please meet by the old wooden Music Pavillion (Musikkpaviljong) 10 minutes before the tour start. Your guide will come to pick you up with a black 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser with Arctic Photo Guide logo on it.

After the tour you will be dropped off at your hotel or accommodation in Tromsø centre. If your accommodation is outside of Tromsø island, you will be dropped off at the nearest bus or taxi stop.

The vehicle used on tour is a lifted 4x4 off road truck with normal car seats, not a spacious van nor a minibus. Unfortunately, when at full capacity like on this tour, larger sized / very tall guests do not fit in it, as sometimes long drives are required to see the lights and adequate comfort must be guaranteed to every participant on tour. Please get in touch before booking if you are in doubt!
You must be in good physical shape to walk on uneven terrain that will be snowy, icy, wet and slippery
The Northern Lights Tour cannot have a specific duration. That is due to the natural conditions like weather and northern light activity, which cannot be predicted accurately; therefore, the tour can last from 5 to 9 hours, even though the average is around 6-7 hours.
This tour operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately. Make sure you wear warm and water resistant clothes and have an extra layer with you and boots that are suitable for winter and snow.
If you are travelling with kids younger than 13 or shorter than 150 cm - 59 inches please get in touch for a private tour option.
This tour is not suitable for elderly participants, people with any injury, sickness, movement disability, wheelchairs, walkers, crutches. It is an active tour.

It was an incredible northern lights chase by our guide Nico - he’s a great guy. On a night with low probability due to cloudy skies, he ensured we manage to see the lights - drove almost 200km all the way up to Finland in challenging conditions! It was an experience of a lifetime for us. Thank you Nico!

Our main reason for visiting Tromso in January was to see the northern lights and we did. Trine was very personable and fun. She told us about the lights, local history, Sami people, her family and kept us fed and comfortable. She also encouraged the group to interact and get to know each other. It was a special night.

Nico is an excellent guide. He carefully considered the best location for us to see the lights and we were rewarded with an excellent display. He shares the photos he takes also at no extra cost and they are amazing. Would definitely recommend this tour, it was amazing!

O Nico é um cara formidável! O tempo estava ruim em Tromso, mas ele nos levou quase até a fronteira com a Finlândia e pudemos ter uma experiência fantástica!! As luzes chegaram tímidas, mas aos poucos foram ficando mais fortes! Foi uma noite memorável com direito à pedido de casamento! Recomendo!!!!
