Alex gave a very informative tour to our small group. We covered a lot of ground and I learned quite a bit. Definitely saw some parts of the city I wouldn’t have seen otherwise. I recommend this tour.
I loved this tour it was well paced, fun and filled with known and unknown facts about the city. The tour guide was engaging and knowledgeable. He was very comfortable with sharing a lot of information with enthusiasm and excitement.

There are no audio devices, if you are not beside the guide you cannot hear . In a group of 20 + radio audio devices, widely used in Europe, are needed .
As a fellow Canadian I would like to see the guide to show more enthusiasm and pride in what is definitely a great city.

Darren was great as a tour guide. Lots of interesting places in downtown along with the history of each place. Very informative and Darren kept it lite and fun. Walk was about 9k steps but at a nice pace. Really good tour.

About 5 miles of walking. Bring some water and wear some good walking shoes; terrain is mostly flat.

The tour lead we had was very personable and appeared knowledgeable with the ability to tell a good story.
The downside for me was the tour was to long. I lost interest at around the two hour mark.
Also it is advertised as grutility based but it really wasn’t. The tour guide gave two pitches telling us what he expected in the way of payment. Which was $30/person.

This. Was described as gratuity based but the expectation of the tour guide is that the gratuity is $30 per person which was not what I expected to pay at all. So just on that point alone I would advise caution. The tour was ok but I don’t like being peer pressured or told what I should give as a gratuity so wrong approach with me.

dwight was great, knew a lot of history and good stories. kept a good pace. this was a good first look at toronto. i think the time of day being mid morning works well too because you can use the rest of the day to explore in more depth

We were a small group and it was a good walking tour through Old Toronto. Alex was our tour guide and I was glad she encouraged conversation within the group. She had a book with photos that helped visualise the history of the locations we went to.

Great tour and very enjoyable. There’s a lot of walking in 2 1/2 hours but saw lots of things and our guide was very informative and happy to answer any of our questions. It really is a great way to see a city and to see the sites from the ground.

I received a message at 9:30am on the day to inform me that as they have not met the minimum number of required people for the tour, it may be cancelled and I will be contacted to be informed whether it is cancelled or not.
I didn’t receive any futher communication so I understood that the tour was to go ahead. I checked my spam folder and there was nothing there too. I made my way to the meeting spot and met with another person there who was waiting for the tour.
I contacted Toonie Tours at 2:02 to ask them if the tour was going ahead but received no response. I cannot ring the number either as it does not accept calls. We waited for 15 minutes and no tour guide showed up.
They finally responded 2.5 hours later to say they had technical difficulties and this is why no message was sent. They said I can rebook and I said no because I already had plans/other things booked. I’ve asked for a refund but am yet to receive a proper response.
It’s a shame because I was really looking forward to the tour and learning about Toronto and its history.

It’s not really a kid friendly tour. I was expecting a walking tour even if it was 3 hours but we barely walked at all in the first 2 hours. On top of a delay to start first stop was over 30 minutes and it literally took almost 2 hours to get thru the first 4 stops. The tour guide, although friendly, took soooo long at each stop with an exordinary amount of information that honestly was long-winded and boring. I love history and walking tours but this was too much. My kids and I left after two hours as I don’t know how he would have gotten to 10 more stops in the last hour. Our legs and backs were killing us so bad by then and it was unfortunate because I wanted to give my kids a good history lesson of the city. Wrong tour for that. We had to get an Uber back too as we didn’t know where we were. Unfortunate as I’ve gone on some great tours before in other big cities.

It was my second time visiting Toronto and had some spare time so decided to book a 3 hour walking tour. I have taken walking tours before so I knew what I was signing up for - Alot of walking, possibly not alot of sitting. Come prepared with water to stay hydrated possibly some snacks if you're a snacker like me. We had a break after 2 hours by the toronto sign were I was able to buy some food and more water. I was traveling solo so Joel was more than helpful in taking amazing pictures of me by the Toronto sign (he's a great photographer). Joel was very informative and knowledgeable about toronto, it's history, architecture, and food places. Would 100% book again just to go for the walk !
