Tenerife has some incredible areas for stargazing, but without extensive research, it can be tricky to know the best places to go. Never was it said we would have to ride a coach for an extra two hours when picking us up at hotel. Some people met at restaurant which than they did not have to endure wasted vacation time on a bus. If told in advance we could have taken the 15 minute taxi and saved 2-2 1/2 hour on a bus. I could go on however it’s done and mother can do about it. History 👎🏻😠

A truly breathtaking experience with loads of wow moments. Our Tour Guide Kieran was very knowledgeable and experienced. He answered all our questions in detail and also answered our children’s questions with full explanations which was very much appreciated. The complete end to end experience was very smooth and very well executed. Theory downside for a specifically was the food given that we are vegetarians and do not eat eggs, fish meat or mushrooms so our your choice was a bit limited, but we expected it so we had actually eaten a heavy lunch in the town before going on the excursion. They don’t lie when they say it does get nippy up there the good thing is those puffer jackets are actually very warm. A good thing is that this company does not charge extra for any pictures that they take at sunset point and with the stars in the evening. They also take a timelapse video of the sunset and a picture of all the stars that they showed us that evening and send those to us for free as well via a Dropbox link through WhatsApp. Definitely an experience worth doing and worth every penny. Oh, you also get a hot chocolate halfway through when you’re up there because it is cold. I would advise do not travel with little children (babies or toddlers) because they will get tired. My kids were nine and five at the time of this excursion and by the time we got back to the hotel they were quite cranky and tired but regardless I would still give this a five star rating for this amazing stargazing experience!

The sunset viewing was amazing but, unfortunately, the stargazing was somewhat underwhelming because of the bright moon and scattered clouds. However, it was very well organised and the staff were enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The star pointer wasn’t always easy to follow. The telescopes were much smaller I expected- only 8” - so the images were quite small. My husband’s SkyView app was more impressive!

Brilliant from time picked up, lots of information all the way there. Due to the weather we didn't see sunrise but no one can control the weather. The stargazing and informative talk was fantastic, so much knowledge. We were well looked after, the use of extra coats was invaluable as it was a very cold night up so high and refreshments added bonus. The stars were amazing, such a great fun tour.

We had an excellent evening on the Tuesday night, meal and sunset great, moon looked amazing but there were clouds so it was cancelled, however options were offered which was amazing and we went back on Friday night, the team are really knowledgeable and gave us a good insight into the stars. It was cold but they provided jackets and hot chocolate, it is extremely well run and everyone involved were great.

Picked up on time. All guides (and driver) were great and very knowledgeable. Restaurant was basic - really this tour should not include a meal and then it could leave later in the day.
Fantastic stargazing. Unbelievable what you can see with the naked eye, all enhanced with the telescopes. We had a great night. Awesome professional photos taken by Craig, included in the price - much appreciated. It is very, very cold up Lady Teide - be warned!

Fab evening - Canarian dinner, followed by catching a magnificent sunset and then an amazing star gazing experience. Lots of WOW moments throughout the evening. The magic half moon and seeing Jupiter for the 1st time. Would definitely do again as the guys were so knowledgeable and easy going. Having the special photos included was a superb bonus. Highly recommend.

Excellent guides, excellent events for the excursion. Take their advice when they say to bundle up. I recommend hats and gloves. If I had one comment for improvement it would be with regard to the building next to the location we stopped at for star gazing, regarding a security light that seemed to be directly pointed at us really was distracting from the event. I heard others comment on it as well. Were it not for this, I would give the excursion 5 stars. I really think it is one of the best excursions of our trip and one I think everyone should consider.

We were overwhelmed by being able to see the stars with the naked eye. It was truly magnificent. Be advised to wear more than a jacket. It’s extremely cold!

If you haven’t been star gazing before then this trip is for you. If you have been then it is not.
What I liked: A+ quality telescopes. I thought the guides were nice too.
What I didn’t like: lots of people as in a giant tour bus. I was expecting a more intimate experience. That being said you have to wait a while to see anything. I also thought the tour started too early because it took a while for the sky to get totally dark. A 9pm start could have been better.
Generally the weather in Tenerife is perfect for star gazing. We had a fair amount of cloud cover so we were unlucky and I left early since I had my own car.
If you are more of an amateur astronomer and have your own telescope you are better off bringing it to Tenerife to do your own star gazing. If this is your first time then this is good.

Disappointing. Very touristy. You’re on a huge bus with 50 other people. They bring you to a dumpy restaurant where you have 40 min to eat as fast as you can. Calling it a 3 course meal is laughable. The first course is a small silver dollar sized potato with nothing on it, the second course is a chicken leg with a spoonful of rice, the third course is a piece of tasteless cheese. They essentially call each side dish a course.
Then they bring you to a scenic stop halfway up the mountain where dozens of tour buses and tours are stopped for people to pack in and watch a fairly disappointing sunset.
Then you head further up the mountain where they have 4 small telescopes. Here you’ll stand around in the cold for 4 hours waiting in line behind 50 other patrons to look through the telescopes. All told you’ll get to see the moon and three stars. The stars aren’t even all that impressive. Just a bit closer up white dots than you’re used to seeing.
6 hours. A pretty lame meal and 4 peaks through a telescope all while freezing your rear end off. Pretty outrageous for 90 bucks a person.

We had an incredible time on our trip. Craig was a great story teller on the bus up and did a great job engaging kids and adults alike. Kieran and the rest of the crew did a great job showing us the stars and explaining what we were seeing through the telescopes. It is cold on the mountain so the hot chocolate was also appreciated. Just one suggestion - the restaurant is awful (the fish, chicken and vegetarian options were all terrible) and the trip would be better if they found a different food option or just skipped the dinner and cut the fee by a little bit. Otherwise, I would fully recommend this trip. Just maybe eat something before you go or bring snacks. Seemed most people just picked at their food.
