This was by far, the best excursion that we have had on our 23 day journey! Bilal met us at the cruise port and walked us through the old Medina with a stop to buy bread and olives for our cooking class! We arrived at his apartment and were warmly greeted by his beautiful wife, Sanae! We had so much fun preparing our salad and tajine! An absolute feast with mint tea and pomegranate and raisins for dessert! We highly recommend this excursion-you will not be disappointed!

This was by far, the best excursion that we have had on our 23 day journey! This was a very nice experience cooking dinner with a local family in their apartment. It was just my husband and I and he and his wife. Their 2 daughters were also in the apartment. They are all very nice people. We prepared a chicken tagine and a seafood tagine. They were delicious! We also made a salad and we had pomegranate seeds and raisins for dessert. We really enjoyed the experience and the meal.

I had the most lovely evening with Bilal and his family. I was so happy his daughters joined the class given that I was the only participant. We made a tagine and a cucumber, onion, and tomato salad. Bilal’s wife made a delicious eggplant dish which was my favourite. Afterwards, we all ate together. I felt totally at ease in this home, and my heart was warmed by their hospitality. It would have been nice to make something like pastries or more unique sides in order to learn some new cooking skills though. But all in all, a very pleasant experience!

We were taken on a tour through the medina farmers market by Balil who was enthusiastic and very knowledgable about Tangier and the history of the area.
On returning to his home we met his lovely wife who introduced us to Morrocan cooking in her own kitchen. The whole trip was delightful and all extremely tasty! We all could not recommend Balil and his lovely family more highly .

Bilal was a fantastic host, he agreed to do the class for me alone and finding a time that works for both of us instead of cancelling on me which I am grateful for.
The cooking class starts with going into the market and some other shops. You then go to his house and start cooking the food. Lastly you eat the food!
Highly recommend doing this cooking class if you are in Tangier!

Bilal was such a warm and friendly gentleman. He toured us around Tangier markets & shops before we were invited into his home where he and his wife Sanae taught us how to make and prepare a traditional Moroccan meal. Which was absolutely a blast and turned delicious. We talked & laughed until our sides hurt. My cheeks were sore from smiling for days. We felt absolutely comfortable and relaxed- they made sure of it. We left feeling like family and have since kept in touch. He and his wife reaching out making sure we’ve made it to our next destination safely and finally home. I was traveling with my best friends of 30 yrs & as 2 single women travels I felt so safe, cared for and respected by him and his wife. I wholeheartedly recommend Bilal for ANY and all guide needs.

Bilal and his family made me feel so comfortable and he taught me a lot about Moroccan culture and how different areas were formed.
Although it was Ramadan, I still felt very welcome and ate with Bilal's youngest daughter. Everything was provided to make the experience much more enjoyable and the food was deliscious.
I would certainly recommend this experience to anybody looking to learn about Moroccan culture and good food. It works for families too.
Also Bilal was very helpful about other requests that one might have, such as taxis and other visits.
I would certainly do this again on a return to Tangier.
