The Alishan Forest Recreation Area is open 24/7 year-round. The area may be closed upon the announcement of the Chiayi County Government. Closures are subject to the ‘Operation Regulations on the Suspension of Offices and Classes because of Natural Disasters

Chushan Line (Yellow Line): There are three stations for boarding the bus: the Terminal, Visitor Center Station, and Chaoping Station. The bus stops in front of the Duigaoyue Station or Chusha Station.

How to get there by bus; Taipei Bus Station (Kuo-Kuang Motor Transport)→ Chiayi Station → Alishan Station and Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Bus 7329 Alishan Route A (HSR Departure), and Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Bus 7322C Alishan Route B (Departing from TRA) Chiayi County Bus Main Station → Shizhao → Dabang

How to get there by train; Take the train to Fenqihu Train Station, walk straight ahead then turn left for 120 meters, turn right for 210 meters, and Yahu Old Grandma's Railway Bento will be on your right.
