My mom and I had a great day private tour with Eric. We were able to have a very full day in a very comfortable car with Eric and the driver. We were picked up and dropped off right in front of all the main attractions. Eric knew a lot of history too which was great since it was our first full day in Taipei. At the end of the day, we were tired and wanted to quickly go to the Raohe night market to try their famous buns. Our guide was so kind and escorted us to get the bun and a few foods before dropping us back at our hotel, instead of us trying to find a taxi or an uber. Would highly recommend this tour!

Our family (myself, my spouse, 12yo and twin 9yos and my 78 yo mother booked 2 day trips with My Taiwan Tour with 2 different tour guides. Both were amazing! The drivers were also excellent. The transportation was clean and safe. I felt I could really relax and enjoy the experience rather than be stressed about how to get from point A to point B. Both your guides (Melody and Bessy) were very attentive, especially towards my mom, providing her assistance as needed. Using My Taiwan Tour was worth every penny!

Carol, our tour guide, was the reason this tour went so well. She had a driver so she could focus on talking to us about this wonderful city. Carol was friendly, very knowledgeable about Taiwan’s history, and full of energy. We learned a lot about Taiwan and it’s culture through her. We went to all the places we had in mind, in addition to the ones she suggested, which included the local market, and other places only a resident would know about. If you want a taste of the city of Taiwan in a day, this is the tour for you! We covered about 5 miles of walking in and out of museums, temples, markets, memorials. She offered to take pictures of us at each place for a keepsake. Carol was mindful that I was walking with a broke toe, so we took breaks as needed throughout the tour… and it was hot too, but that didn’t stop us.
My only complaint was the transportation was not what was promised by Viator. We needed a luxury vehicle which would have given us more space in the backseat.
All in all, this was an excellent tour and I highly recommend that you reserve this one with Carol as your guide if she’s available.

Ken was a fount of information about Taiwan, and responded readily to our questions. You could see his enthusiasm for his country and the places we visited. The Geo Park was fascinating with its natural formations. Chicken was a delightful stop with scrumptious food stalls and a fun opportunity to send off a wish by lantern. Ken couldn’t have been more thoughtful and attentive to our interests and needs. He was extremely helpful to our wheelchairs family member. Tour Guide Phoebe was A+ Excellent. She was very knowledgeable, talkative, and passionate about Taiwan’s history and sites. I learned a lot of interesting history about Taiwan, and about Taiwan’s current political situation with China/USA. Phoebe loved to share her knowledge, and she made the day very pleasant and engaging. We had excellent lunch at Taipei 101. At the end of the day, after a lot of walking, Phoebe took me to a knife massage. The driver was reliable, on-time.

We had a great day in Taipei. Our guide modified the tour based on our interests and physical limitations. She felt it was important for us to see the Palace though we told her were had been seeing temples, palaces, shrines, buddhas and more. We wished we would have skipped this and done the market instead.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Taipei city tour in a day with Jennifer! It was the New Year holiday, and she knew the best places open to learn Taiwan culture and history. We visited Longshan Temple, historic block, took a gondola ride, Taipei 101, and visited the National Palace Museum. Good memories made!

We had the absolute best day with our guide Claire. She met us at the train station and quickly showed us to our waiting car/driver.
We didn’t want the typical tourist spots, so she customized the tour for us. We saw the Lungshan Temple, and learned a lot about the culture, the deities and the way the people pray for blessings. We tried herbal teas as we explored the nearby herbal market and street markets filled with fruit, veggies and local snacks. We saw the Bopiliao Historic Block and then our driver picked us up and took us to the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall where Claire then expertly navigated us up to get front row spots to see the changing of the guard. We then learned more about the March Student Movement in 1990 and the history of Taiwan and its presidency from the exhibits.
From here Claire took us to an authentic Taiwanese lunch of Xiao Long Bao and then to a coffee shop.
We then drive past Taipei 101 for a quick picture and then explored the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park (a former tabaco processing factory)
We drove to the Datong District and explored the area as we made our way to the Yanping Riverside Park to catch the amazing sunset.
We were then returned to the train station and Claire made sure we bought the correct tickets to get us back to our cruiseship port before it left for Singapore without us.
Claire made the most of every minute we had in Taipei and showed us more than the typical tourist spots.
We would highly recommend taking a tour with Claire!!

Vincent was a very good guide. He was never in a hurry if we wanted to stay longer. We went to Namen Market which was very interesting. It was amazing to see tons of stalls selling everything from soup to nuts. Our next stop was to visit 2 temples-Confucious and BaoAn. Both were super interesting. The next stop was a shopping street where we were surprised to see so much being sold outside. It was a pleasant tour.

The tour guide Chiara and the driver Mr. Chen were very attentive. Chiara is knowledgeable and well prepared for the guided tour on the attractions we selected. Places required reservation were made ahead of time. The timing of the tour was managed very well.
My wife and I had great time with this guided tour and enjoyed the conversations with Chiara and Mr. Chen throughout the tour.

This was an awesome tour by our tour guide Jett! He picked us at keelung cruise terminal right on time and took us to a 7-11 to get money exchanged. His car was immaculate and with a blissfully cool AC!
We went to Juifen, Yelihu Geopark, and Pingxi as well as for a quick drive around Taipei. Jett was professional and friendly. He was so knowledgable and that really made what we saw come to life! Jett took us to a wonderful restaurant in Juifen where we had beef noodles—one of the iconic dishes of Taiwan—delicious! But our favorite part of the day was releasing a lantern in pingxi! Truly magical!

Note: There is an extra charge in cash to be picked up at the cruise terminal (even though our driver lived nearby) Still, it was well worth it to have a guide who scheduled us perfectly to the sites we wanted to visit. Her knowledge of the museum was invaluable and allowed us to make the most of our time in port and still see everything on our list. We even were able to fit in the Taipei Zoo and see a Chinese panda. The guide gave us insight into the political history of the island and was able to point out key pieces in the museum. It was a wonderful day and a custom tour is the way to go.

An awesome tour!!! You get to see all of the city highlights in Taipei in a day. You move fast but you get to see everything you could imagine. My tour guide even took me to one of the overlooks outside the city where you get to see spectacular views of the mountains dropping off into the water. Great day! I would highly recommend this tour.

Our tour guide, Tai was fantastic. He catered and customize the tour to our specific interests which was picture perfect locations as we're photography buffs. He was also very knowledgeable about the city, he could explain to us about many aspects such as the fascinating history and exotic culture of this country. He even helped us fare through the rainy weather. He introduced to us many delicious local foods. He went above and beyond by obtaining for us a tour inside of the Presidential Building which was only open once a month so I discovered. It was an amazing holiday for us, from the fantasy town of Jiufen to the majestic National Palace Museum. Our expectations of this trip was exceeded as high as the Taipei 101.

Our guide/driver, Vincent, was a wonderful host and a wealth of knowledge on his city. We felt welcome and cared for the entire day and were able to customize our itinerary on the fly to adapt to weather conditions. This tour is a fantastic value.

This was a great experience. We were 7 travelers in our family with our 82-year old mother. The tour guide Kelly had a very upbeat personality, even calling our mother lola which is the Filipino word for grandmother. The tour van was very comfortable and just right for all of us. We told Kelly where we wanted to go and she organized our tour very well for us, starting with the farthest point Yangmingshan to see the geysers and then to Beitou thermal valley. We had beef noodle soup in Beitou. Kelly very graciously looked for some forks for my brother, his wife, and my mother who didn't know how to use chopsticks. We also covered a lot of the sights in our tour of Taipei city - Taipei 101, Chiang Kai Shek and Sun Yat Sen memorial halls, Office of the President. Our last stop was the Taipei handicraft promotion center. We had a really memorable tour, thanks to Kelly and the very gracious driver.

This was my first Viator tour and I couldn't be happier. The name of the local company is My Taiwan Tour and our guide's name was Young or it sounded like it. He was at our hotel 5 minutes earlier and spoke perfect English. He was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely pleasant and respectful. We did everything at our pace, adjusting the program as we went along depending on what we felt like.
Really had a lovely time and the whole day felt like a great value for money! Thank you, My Taiwan Tour and Young!

Our tour guide was knowledgeable and had many places to choose from to see. Overall I would say this tour was just ok. Things I would change about it are the price. Given the fact that my currency was stronger than the Taiwan dollar, this was a rather expensive tour. Our airbnb host confirmed that and even said we should've contacted him ahead of time for recommendations. Locals will know more of tours outside of Trip Advisor and at a more affordable rate. Additionally, our tour guide was knowledgeable but also nothing special. I have had some tour guides in the past with high energy, humorous, passionate, attentive, lively, etc... this guy wasn't so much. It was a rather calm and information based tour. Like I said, not bad, but not really memorable. You can probably get a less expensive and more entertaining tour if you have the ability to get recommendations from a local. I believe the cost was higher because it wasn't just charges from the tour - there were other parties involved if you can make sense of that.

Great city tour with Claire, she provided excellent information about the different sites we visited and adapted the tour to areas of interest to my family. For example, we had already visited Taipei 101 so we were able to spend more time visiting an arts and crafts center.

Our tour was everything we could have asked for. We were only spending two days in Taiwan and wanted to see as much as possible. We told our tour guide, David, the main things we wanted to say and let him make recommendations from there. We went up to the coast, saw the Abandoned Gold Mine and Golden Waterfall. Then went out to Jiufen for the market and lunch at a beautiful tea house up in the mountains. From there, we did the sky lanterns in Shifen and saw the Shifen waterfall. Lastly, we went to the Northwest coast and saw the last of the views. He taught us all about the history of the different places he took us. Would absolutely recommend this tour and even more would recommend David as your tour guide!!

Was exactly what I was looking for. I was in Taipei for a layover and didn't have much time. Told my guide, Yang, exactly what my interests were and he drove me around the city. Was great to keep all my bags in the car. I also paid extra to have him take me to the airport. It was great not to worry about anything...from how to get from point A to point B and the language barrier.
