Great way to try Taiwanese food!
What a great tour! I thought this was a fantastic way to try out some Taiwanese street food and learn more about Taiwanese culture. Our guide, Cyndi, was so much fun! I went on my own and ended up in a group of about 7 which was perfect. I would 100% recommend this tour and would love to come back with friends!

Tasty tour of good food.
Leo is an engaging tour guide. We tasted a wide range of dishes, ranging from yam balls to Doritos to stir-fry to bao to stinky tofu. We visited during the Lunar New Year week, so the market was busier and some stalls were closed; the guides pivoted to make the tour work. We stopped at one restaurant for several courses and some beer, which was a nice interlude. Try everything, and come hungry!

Food and Fun
Good tour with lot's of walking. Able to try many food types that normally I wouldn't have known about. Good group and the tour operator was fun, knowledgeable, and engaging.

Huaxi Street Night Market (Snake Alley)
  • Huaxi Street Night Market is a must for foodies.

  • The market is covered so it’s a good option when it’s raining.

  • Don’t forget to bring cash, as many small vendors don’t accept anything else.

  • This area was formerly a red-light district and there are still a number of massage parlors in operation, so it may not be suitable for young children.
