Itinerary

VIVID Sydney invites international artists to design dazzling light shows that are projected onto Sydney’s most famous structures, including the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Customs House and National Maritime Museum. Set sail into the heart of the VIVID Sydney festivities and enjoy superb views from your boat's indoor or outdoor seating areas and spacious deck.

Shutter bugs can take advantage of this water-based vantage point for prime photo opportunities of the brilliant light displays. Even your catamaran is equipped with special lighting, programmed to change colors depending on your location in the harbor, making your vessel part of the VIVID show.

Your cruise includes a complimentary glass of beer, wine, soft drink or sparkling water and additional drinks are available for purchase from the onboard bar. The buffet dinner you will enjoy while cruising has something for everyone from hot meats to noodle dishes and plenty of other fresh selections (please advise of other dietary requirements at the time of booking).

Your cruise ends when your boat returns to Darling Harbour after 1.5 hours.

Please note: You have a choice of two evening departure times.The earlier departure gives you option of cruising at 6pm and second session gives you the option of cruising at 7:30pm. As mentioned, all cruises will depart from an allocated King St Wharf – specific allocations will be published and communicated closer to your cruise date. Please note all Wharf Departures are within 200m of one another and are easily identified by their displayed wharf number.

This was a spur of the moment. Am so glad we did it. The price was reasonable and great value. The boat was roomy and plenty of room to walk around and view the lights. The buffet was delicious and.very generous. Tasty amd.plenty of variety. The crew were very helpful and kind to my elderly mum

Lovely tour of the lights

This was a very nice tour of the harbor and lights. Staff on board were very friendly and helpful. The boarding process was a bit uncoordinated, but it all worked out.

Great views, less than great food

We got a good view of the Darling Harbour, but the VIVID light shows are only visible on the harbour bridge and opera house. The food was ok, not spectacular, because the selection was limited. The service was great. The crew was passionate and friendly.

This is good just to experience the cruise by night in Sydney but not as awesome as what we had during our Budapest river cruise. It you want to see vivid Sydney, all you need is be at The Circular Quay where all the lights are.

Very disappointing. The boat was late arriving, it was advertised as leaving 6pm and it was after that when it arrived. The food was ordinary. Unfortunately the boat spent more time out of the view of the lights as it sailed past Circular Quay. The only plus was that it sailed into Circular Quay on the way back so we had the choice of getting off there instead of back to King Street Wharf. I realise that because there are so many boats on the harbour they cannot hang around too long but I can't see a reason why it could not have sailed into the Quay and back out again at the start of the trip so we could have seen more of the Opera House sails changing.

Firstly we arrived at the pier at the allocated time-5:45 BUT no boat till 6:10! The boarding was extremely disorganised and slow. The food was absolutely terrible!!! The best part was the walk around circular quay. However this again was disorganised with no arm. Ands that apparently should have been handed out.We should have just taken transport to circular quay and done that. The harbour cruise was a waste of money with almost no commentary or explanations.
