Great Kayak Tour
We arrived in Sydney a few days before our ocean cruise and decided the kayak tour of Sydney Harbour would be a fun experience. As it turned out we were so glad we did. It will be one of our most memorable experiences.
We were fortunate to go out with Sam, our guide and owner. We had kayaked before and Sam still gave us thorough instructions and set us up. We started from a sandy beach in a bay in a two person kayak. We were fortunate in that it was a perfect weather day with fairly warm weather and very little wind. We paddled under the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sam pointed out various landmarks, etc., as we continued to another small bay/boat harbor where we landed on a small beach. From there we walked a short distance to a wonderful little restaurant for our included breakfast (Thelma and Louise Cafe). The restaurant it itself would be a place we’d go on our own with a great menu of basic and exotic breakfast items, all part of our breakfast options. After a wonderful breakfast, and nice conversation with Sam, we paddled back under the bridge and to our starting point, with a little detour paddling between the piling and under one of the low piers for an added pleasure.
For us it was a fun and great experience, but for someone not familiar with kayaking, or with not much physical strength, it may be a bit challenging, especially if it were windy. Sam was a great guide and very personable and pleasant to be with, so that’s a great plus. Plus of course seeing the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, and the beautiful skyline of the city. Again, breakfast too in itself was worth it.

Organized and Spectacular!
After I booked the tour, the operator reached out to me and asked if I wanted a tandem kayak as there was one left. I replied yes. A day prior to the experience, our guide reached out to remind us of our show time which was 06:15 in the morning as it was a sunrise kayak trip. The booking itself says 05:45, and I reached out to confirm the time. I appreciated the communication. My husband and I woke up early and called an Uber as it was the easiest way to get to the meeting point. Fifteen minutes by car versus almost an hour via public transit. As soon as we got to the park, there were several other guys there to make sure we were at the right spot. We waited twenty minutes for everyone else to show up which turned out to be about fifteen total people or so. If you are wearing shoes or have a backpack, the guide provides a basket where you can place them and locks them up in his vehicle. I would recommend showing up in sandals/flip-flops and have a towel. The guide also provides life vests. The tour was very organized as there are several guys helping with the launch. They hold the kayaks for you to step in. During our paddle, everyone on the team took photos for the participants. There are plenty of photo opportunities, and it was an easy paddle because there wasn’t much wind. If you haven’t paddled before, you can be towed by a team member. I’d say we paddled about a mile before reaching the best area to watch the sunrise. It was a spectacular view which was enhanced by Sydney Harbor’s beauty. We then paddled back to the launch point where we were helped out of the kayaks. You will probably get a little wet here! If the guide used his phone for your photos, he will send them to you. The ferries started running after we got back, and the best way back to the city is by taking the ferry to Circular Quay. The wharf is a five minute walk away from the launch point. I enjoyed how convenient that was. It was very well-planned and gave us a unique experience in Sydney. What a spectacular way to end our visit!

This was a blast. We went...
This was a blast. We went with our kids, ages 9 and 11, along with friends whose children were of a similar age. The kids absolutely loved it. Isaac was outstanding and did a great job making the ride lively and also provided great facts about Sydney.

Great morning on the water!
If you’re an experienced paddler or looking for a workout, you might want to message the guide and arrange for a separate session. If there are other less experienced paddlers in the group you’ll paddle less but it’s still a great time being on the water. It’s a lovely area and Matt shares a great deal of history. He’s super knowledgeable and a great kayak instructor. I enjoyed this experience a lot and took time after to visit the Fish Market which is next door! Don’t miss it!

Great tour and lovely helpful staff! Really enjoyed it!
This was good fun! If you aren’t used to kayaking it isn’t the easiest so bear this in mind and do a 2 seater one if you can to share the task.
Went to some lovely spots and finished with the Q station. Hannah, our guide, was friendly and knowledgable! She provided us with a nice drink and little cake snack on one of the beaches which was well received!
The kids were a bit tired so we opted for a boat ride back and the lady who drove the boat gave us some lovely information on other beaches we could walk to after the tour for the afternoon. This was a lovely suggestion! Thank you!

A must experience in Bondi
This was the most fun experience we had in Bondi. The group size was small and intimate and Aaron our instructor was truly outstanding - both personable and knowledgeable! The lesson was perfect for beginners and early-learners and left us feeling confident and tired from the constant exercise. I could not recommend this experience enough
