Kevin was a fantastic guide. Although he has only lived in Strasbourg since 2020, he was incredibly knowledgeable about the city, its history, and its culture. He shared lots of great recommendations for places to eat and things to see, which was a nice bonus.
The highlight of the tour was how he explained the more complex and sensitive parts of Strasbourg’s history. He presented the different perspectives with care and respect, helping me better understand the city’s unique past without oversimplifying it. His knowledge and passion for the history really made the tour enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Strasbourg.

Kevin was the perfect person to contextualize the city for me, allowing me to appreciate its diversity and beauty in ways that I would have otherwise overlooked. Because the city has changed hands several times in its history, the dissonance you will experience will make sense to you. Kevin also has many recommendations for your stay in Strasbourg that my husband and I later tested; we were quite pleased.
I took his tour during the heat wave, and Kevin was thoughtful about water breaks and shady rest stops given the length of the tour. After the tour concluded, he offered to answer questions and advised on the remainder of my Strasbourg itinerary, which I found to be quite helpful.
I went on the tour alone, but he created a vibe where I left feeling like I made new friends I hadn’t met yet if you know what I mean.
I highly recommend.

We booked this last minute and couldn’t be happier with our experience. It was an outstanding tour filled with a mix of history, cultural facts, and a general understanding of the city. We thoroughly enjoyed it and wouldn’t want to have spent our day in Strasbourg any other way. We saw beautiful sights, had a chance to get delicious snacks, and really appreciated getting to see and understand the city in depth and beyond the standard tourist offerings. We had a fantastic tour! The weather was less than ideal, but we still enjoyed the tour thoroughly. Kevin is extremely well-informed about the area and very personable. We were traveling with our toddler & he was understanding of her needs (diaper change break, stopping to tell us information under shelter from the rain, etc.). We stopped in 5 European cities on this trip and did a walking tour in 4 of them - this was our best tour by far!

We booked the Welcome to Strasbourg walking tour via Viator on our first morning, and it was honestly one of the best decisions we made. Kevin was absolutely wonderful — knowledgeable, approachable, and clearly passionate about his city.
The walk was an easy, flat pace with a small group, so everyone could hear and feel included. Over a couple of relaxed hours, Kevin pointed out fascinating details, history, and places we’d never have noticed on our own. It completely enhanced the rest of our trip, as we were able to return later and explore many of his recommendations in more depth.
If you’re visiting Strasbourg, I can’t recommend this tour enough — especially at the start of your stay. We loved it and would happily do it again!

Absolutely the best tour I’ve been on. Kevin was so knowledgeable about not just Strasbourg’s history but about where to shop, eat, catch public transportation, etc. My daughter and I were there a few days before she was to begin a college semester in Strasbourg and Kevin included so much useful information about student life and how to go about daily life in the city. Upon hearing my daughter would be in Strasbourg for four months he said “you couldn’t have picked a better place.” We couldn’t have picked a better tour.

We had a fantastic experience on our walking tour of Strasbourg with Kevin. He’s an English speaker originally from Chicago, which made everything easy to follow, and his passion for the city really came through. He shared a great mix of history, fun facts, and personal insight into why he chose to move to Strasbourg, which made the tour feel especially authentic. Even though it was raining that day, Kevin kept the tour fun and upbeat and still managed to get us to some beautiful spots for photos. Our group was very small, just three of us, (my husband, me, and a lovely woman from Norway), and he took full advantage of that by adding extra stops and tailoring the experience to our interests…He also gave incredible recommendations along the way like restaurants, bakeries, shopping, and even a thoughtfully organized list by food type, including tips on when to make reservations. I strongly recommend doing this tour early in your trip so you can fully take advantage of his suggestions and get a great feel for the city. Kevin was awesome, and I truly can’t recommend him enough
