This tour was great! Loved Chateau Haut-Koenigsburg, such an incredible medieval castle. Riquewihr was absolutely stunning and probably my favorite stop. And Colmar was amazing. Smail was our driver and did an excellent job! Thank you!

From other reviews, we knew our driver wasn’t a ‘tour guide.’ Smail was on time, a great driver, polite, and told us a little extra during the drive when asked. For the most part, he played the English narration and let that do the information. When we saw how busy the castle was, he did give us prepaid tickets so we could skip the line and pay him back later. The castle was great, Riquewihr was lovely and laidback (go during the week for less people), and the four of us all found Colmar underwhelming and wish we’d had more time at either of the other locations. We also got to Colmar near the end of lunch and when restaurants are finishing lunch service, making it more difficult to find a good place to eat and people watch.

This man was just a driver. We booked this very experience experience thinking that we were booking a day of guidance in 3 Alsace region towns. First of all, he did not speak English. We then realized that he was not a tour guide but just a driver. At that moment, we had 2 options, leaving Alsace without seeing any town or just go for the drive. What a misleading advertisement this was. Shame on this company.

Our driver was polite, pleasant, on time, was clear about where to meet, and was always at the meeting point at the designated time. He got us from place to place safely and told us where we were going, how long we would have at each place, what direction to set out, and what time to return. He gave us an option to spend more time at Colmar and skip Eguisheim or less time at Colmar to visit Eguisheim. He texted me a list of restaurant suggestions in Colmar that had vegetarian options. In all that he was wonderful but our communication outside of that was very limited. He did not provide any historical background or information about the sites we visited. This was not an informative tour. If you want a safe and pleasant driver to these locations, then I would highly recommend this tour. If you want to learn anything about the areas you are visiting, then I suggest looking elsewhere.
I reread the tour description during the tour to see if I was mistaken in my assumptions, and to be fair it does not say anything about the driver providing commentary. At first the silence was unsettling, then I just accepted that I was mistaken in my assumption that the tour would be informative. As mentioned above, the transportation aspect was flawless and we went place to place smoothly and efficiently.

It was a wonderful full day with Amir as our guide/driver. He shared lots of history and fun insight about the area and was relaxed and easygoing. He saved us from renting a car and having the hassle of parking and navigating various areas with windy roads and tight spaces. So much time was saved and we never would have seen as much if we had been on our own. Amir dropped us to each location and we met him back at the car after a certain amount of time. it was a lovely, stress free day. We highly recommend!

Amir picked us up at our hotel and off we went in his nice, comfortable car. We enjoyed his info/history about the region and felt we had adequate time at each stop. It snowed and ice was on roads so I appreciated his safe driving and regard for all of our safety. It was a great day and I highly recommend this private tour and Amir!

Hamid was a wonderful driver. Do not expect a guide. He spoke only French but with the help of a translation device we all were able to communicate. His car was a tight squeeze for 4 adults.

Tarik was a wonderful driver—very kind and considerate! Before the trip, I wrote to the provider specifying that I will be travelling in a party of 5. Provider confirmed that there will be no issue so I carried on with the booking. Unfortunately the car that came to pick us up on the morning of our trip was a 4 seater sedan (excluding driver). The driver refused to carry on with the tour and failed to dispatch a replacement vehicle, leaving us with a wasted morning of waiting. This cost us precious time that could have been spent visiting other sites in the vicinity. While a refund was provided, the irresponsibility of defaulting on an explicit arrangement which was initially agreed upon is unacceptable.

Great way to see the Christmas markets without hassle. First Haut-Koningsberg castle, Riquewihr, then Colmar and finished at Equisheim. Great driver and comfortable car.

So easy to be picked up at our hotel and dropped off at the entrance to each market and the castle. Our driver had water, clementines, and chocolates for us! He was a safe, excellent driver who got us to the places easily. It was the best way to explore the towns. We communicated by what’s app and when we were ready to head out after visiting each town, we messaged him and he pulled right up to get us. We loved it!!

It’s the only way to go if you like efficiency and time conscious , easy in and easy out compared to big tour buses. Our driver Tarik was courteous, smooth driver and punctual, he even gives suggestions for places to eat. Overall exciting day.

This is a wonderful day trip to exquisitely beautiful towns that take your breath away. Riquewhir, Colmar and Eguisheim are all delightful and different in their own ways. Skilled driver with flexibility in this private tour. However, compared to other Viator tour guides he had limited historical knowledge, minimal suggestions for things to do and a weak command of the English language.
Koenigsbourg Castle and Colmar were very interesting locations.
