Travelers should request Narline to receive a premium tour. She was knowledgeable and provided a thorough explanation of the various sites and parts of the island. My friend and I acquired a greater understanding of St. Maarten/ St. Martin. She was an outstanding tour guide, and I would recommend her every time!

You get to see the whole island, but it’s no tour

I didn’t get the best impression of St Maarten on this tour- it was more like having a personal driver take you from one touristy spot to another. Unfortunately, while nice, my guide didn’t have anything to offer in terms of historical information about the island and landmarks. The itinerary was to go to 2 beaches on each side of the island, so 4 in total. Most of the beaches were eroded and over crowded. Maho Beach was chaotic and over hyped. Grand Case was eroded to the point that the only place to sit is underneath the houses/buildings. Mullet Bay was the nicest beach we visited- lovely but super crowded annd lots of kids running all over the place. Orient Bay was large annd lots of room, but rough waters. Everything was expensive. Pick up and drop off were very disorganized- the lot where all the tours meet is mismanaged and stressful. I’m glad I got to see the whole island, but I doubt I’ll be coming back for an extended stay.

Regarding pickup and drop-off, the meeting area used by tour operators near the port is managed by the port authority, not individual tour companies. While we do our best to guide guests through the process smoothly, we understand it can feel overwhelming, and we’re sorry for the added stress this caused. We’re glad you were at least able to see the full island and found Mullet Bay enjoyable. Our driver was great. She was very friendly and informative.The island is beautiful on both sides. We fed Iguanas and walked 2 different beaches. Watched as an airplane flew over us. They had an amazing bar and restaurant. We definitely would come back. Off season is great too. Not crowded.

The beach hop tour was a lot of fun and very informative. Our tour guide Shawn was awesome. He took us around the whole island to the different beaches and gave us the history along the way. The beaches were all beautiful. I would absolutely recommend this tour!

Our tour guide, Shawn, was wonderful. We were at the wrong pick-up site (our fault), and he came and found us. He made it his priority that we have a fun time....and we did, He was knowledgeable and professional and personable. We learned alot about the island (French and Dutch sides), and we stopped at many sites. The van was comfortable and it was a wonderfully private tour for the two of us. We would take this tour again....and we recommend Shawn to be the guide!
