I did this tour with my mother and sisters. It was our most enjoyable tour in Italy! We got to hear how this family grows lemons and makes olive oil, cheese, pizza and get to know taste all of it! So delicious and very relaxed. Riding in the TukTuk to the family farm was so much fun! Worth the money - would recommend

What To Expect

Meet your guide at your Sorrento hotel and drive to a local lemon farm. Hear about the farm's history and production while you stroll through the olive and citrus trees. Afterward, treat your taste buds to samples of sugar-coated lemons, lemonade, orange oil on fresh artisan bread, and extra-virgin olive oil.

Continue to a cheese factory, where you'll sample local provolone, complemented by salami and a glass of vino. Get an inside look at how the soft cheese of caciotta is made, as well as treccia, similar to a braided mozzarella.

Wonderful educational and fun day with excellent hosts, we had a great time trying different Olive oils , Cheese , and ending with a lovely pizza, that the group participated and helped to make their own. Lovely tour by local family

We spent our first day in Sorrento with Elsa and Benedetto in their lovely village of Schiazzano in Masa Lubrense. We enjoyed a tour of the lemon farm, sampled fresh lemonade and even got to pick a lemon as our souvenir- everything is organic and so fragrant! Benedetto then took us on a crazy and fun Tuk Tuk ride to a mozzarella and olive oil demonstration and tasting. We then got to visit their family run restaurant and make our own pizza - kids loved tossing the dough- in the volcanic stone pizza oven! This family is lovely and kind and you can see the pride in their heritage and businesses shine through!

THE BEST! This is my third time doing this tour and somehow, it gets better every single year. The food is unbelievably fresh, the hosts are warm and welcoming, and you can truly taste the love that goes into everything. The highlight for me is always the truffle olive oil lol it’s something you simply can’t find back home in the States. If you’re coming to Sorrento, don’t miss this experience. I’m already bringing another group next year!

It was a great mix of education, food and fun. Definitely a great time with great hosts. The products available for purchase afterwards were very affordable. If you include the pizza making experience- don’t eat much before you go. The lemoncello was the best. If we had the luggage space we’d have bought the store out.

If you are visiting Sorrento, I would absolutely recommend this experience! The perfect half day experience with a visit to a lemon farm, cheese factory, and restaurant to end the night making your own pizza. OH! And I can’t forget about the fresh lemonade, limoncello, and wine we had along the way. Highly recommend if you want an immersive Italian experience!

We absolutely loved this experience! Our guides were unbelievably sweet and excited to share their culture with us. We walked through a lemon grove and learned about how they grow, took a tuk tuk to watch cheese being made (fascinating to see how all cheese starts with the same ingredients) and do an olive oil tasting, and then stopped for lunch to make our own pizzas. All in all a fun day! They were also able to accommodate me being gluten free.

It was such a fun experience! A trip out into the countryside of Massa Lubrense, a guided tour of the farm and then a great ride by Tuk Tuk to the olive oil tasting, cheese demonstration and tasting and then limoncello. Then off to another part via Tuk Tuk to make our own pizza. Had a lot of fun and was really informative. A great time was had by all.

Great family experience! Everyone was very welcoming from the prompt, comfortable pick up to the complimentary cappinos to start the day. We were told of local family trade of lemon gardening before a quick tuktuk ride through the old city hills to the cheese farm. There, the staff were like old friends sharing their knowledge (and samples) of extra vigirn olive oil, all 10 flavors! The backdrop was a scenic view of the Gulf of Naples. We contiuned inside to watch cheese get mafe before our eyes in real time... and learn about and enjoy the different varieties. Afterwards, we had an easy tuktuk return back to the main village square to make our own pizza. All ingredients were locally sourced from the garden we toured earlier and with the wood burning oven, our individual pizzas were cooked in 5 minutes! A perfect way to end the trip before getting back in the van for a convinent drop off in Sorrento.

We scheduled the tour weeks ahead of time, received almost daily confirmations/reminders, and were charged for the tour 48 hours before. On the morning of the tour, we were never picked up and the vendor didn't respond to our attempts to contact them. After waiting 35 minutes, we called Viator, and they were able to contact the vendor after multiple attempts. The vendor said our reservation didn't appear in their system (although I'm sure our payment did...) and they wanted to reschedule our tour in 2 days. We declined, as we were leaving the next morning and even if we we weren't, we had no reason to trust them. And of course, it was also too late to book another tour that day. Very disappointing experience.
