Amazing day at DMZ!

Kari_R, Feb 2026
We had such a amazing day at DMZ with our excellent guide Wendy and our experienced driver! Wendy is very knowledgeable and kind guide, and we learned a lot on Korean history and customs. Wendy gave also a great tips and helped to choose the best local spicy sauce to bring back home. There was two occations were we could have a snack, before and after the DMZ tour, we opted the observation deck cafeteria after the tunnels. Warm chicken sandwiches and muffins were tasty. There was a couple of options to buy souvenirs and local delicacies. I believe on the private tour we were able to access the bridge, the tunnel and observation deck before big tour groups. No queing and no hazzle at any point of the trip. Our driver is excellent, he was always on time, and drove both wisely and very safely, which I did appreciate a lot when a child on board. We did appreciate the pick up and return directly from/to our hotel it was very convenient. Thank you so much for this experience! I would recommend to everyone. The trip to DMZ helps you put the history in context and our private tour couldn’t have been more convenient.

My son and I went with our guide Jun. He was extremely knowledgeable and informative. It was really worth doing the tour and learning the history.

DMZ private tour?

jshenws, Dec 2024
Our guide Wendy was very knowledgeable and helpful. We had chosen a private tour as we wanted to tour the DMZ at our own pace. However, most of the tour except for the park was joined with a standard large group tour by other operators and we had to follow the group timings. To be fair, Wendy accompanied us throughout the group tour. Visiting the DMZ is certainly an experience and I would definitely recommend it but would suggest simply joining the group tour package which is much cheaper and really would not make that much of difference in the experience.

Response from Host, Dec 2024

Hello. We are sorry that you were not satisfied with our private tour. We thought We really did our best with this tour. We just wanted to explain what are the differences between group and private tour. 1. We picked you up from the hotel lobby when it was -11 degrees celcius outside. Guests didn't have to wander around to find the meeting point. 2. We went straight to the DMZ. Guests didn't have to wait until the group tour guide pick up all the guests. The minimum number is 30pp per bus. Often, it is over 40 people, then may be seated separately on the bus. 3. Guests didn't have to struggle to listen what the group tour guide was saying among big crowds. 4. We dropped you off at the restaurant, You wanted to visit after tour instead of dropping-point (subway station) where the group tour finishes . 5. We also showed you dokgae bridge and underground bunker the group tour never visits! DMZ and civilian off limited area are special zone that is controlled by military soldiers only. So we follow the rules while We are within the area.

DMZ is a must see in South Korea

Wendy was an awesome tour guide. She speaks fluent English, very detailed in her explanation of the places we are going. She was attentive to our needs, she even brought bottled water for us. She went out of her way to show us where to shop for skin care products. Overall, we had fun! Thank you to Wendy and Mr. Won, our driver, who returned us safely back to our hotel.

Wonderful DMZ tour

Excellent Private Tour of DMZ!

Vikas_M, Sep 2024
Excellent DMZ Private Tour and Ms. Lee is an amazing tour guide and very knowledgeable. Also, she has pleasant personality and always a smile on her face. She answered all our questions and she knows how to efficiently manage the time without feeling rushed. She took us to all the different areas and was providing information about all the areas that we visited as well as additional information to give a relevant back story. The car was very spacious and clean, as well as driver was calm. Overall I would highly recommend the DMZ Private Tour with Ms. Lee! Pickup and drop off was provided from Seoul Hotel so no need to go to specific pickup location in Seoul traffic.

Very Cool Experience

Family fun at the DMZ

Donna_K, Jun 2024
Cindy was excellent and very informative! She made it interesting. Very educational for the younger kids in our group. The tunnel was a great experience!

The most exciting part of our South Korea trip!

Ron_R, Apr 2024
Wendy was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and fun. She answered all of our questions and made the trip to the DMZ seamless and easy with the private pick up at the hotel and return trip. The view from the observation deck was stunning and dramatic, the tunnel experience was great fun and quite the work out. This made the DMZ experience so much more real and impactful as you experienced the cool air, limited quarters and what it must have been like for the North Koreans to excavate the tunnel. This required a significant climb up and down on a slope, but was well worth the exercise. There was plenty of gift shops along the way to buy your souvenoirs and all the gift shops along the route were the same so you can buy them at the last stop. You certainly left the tour with a new appreciation for your freedom and gratitude for home. Highly recommend this tour!

Best tour ever!

Memorable experience in DMZ

Solja_K, Sep 2023
The tour to DMZ with Lily was well organized. Everything happened on time and we were guided to the sights. During our private transport from our hotel to the DMZ Lily explained Korean history and key details related to Korean war and how USA got involved into it. Therefore it was much more interesting to begin our tour when we arrived at the DMZ. She was very helful and spoke good english. I can warmly recommend Lily to guide you to DMZ.
