Unfortunately, we are only partially satisfied with this tour. Communication with the vendor in advance was good and the pickup from the hotel was also on time. The driver was also very friendly. However, although we left the hotel earlier than planned, we arrived at the port much too late. The cause was national celebrations at a temple on the route, which the provider had not planned in advance. So the boat had to wait for us and we arrived at the port extremely stressed. There, an employee of the vendor stood and gave us our tickets and case tapes. Two other men took our suitcases out of the car and ran with us to the jetty. Once there, they suddenly charged 200,000 IDR (~10€) for rolling our suitcases for 1 minute. They harassed us and followed us onto the boat, so we ended up paying in a gnashing of teeth. Unfortunately, neither the provider nor the driver had pointed out to us in advance that two of the three men at the port are not part of the provider. A subsequent request for reimbursement of these costs was also rejected.
