Drivers were punctual and helpful. All information given to us was prompt and helpful. Our guide Yus was amazing he ensured our group was safe the entire hike and gave us an amazing experience. If you are struggling with the walking there is people with bikes to take you to the summit which was really well organised. Despite the rain and clouds we still got an incredible sunrise!! A must do!

Worth getting up early for!

Amazing experience with guide Komang Raka! He was patient during difficult parts of the hike and adapted to how well my boyfriend and I were doing (slow at some parts, fast at others). Great conversation as well, which made the hike so much more enjoyable! Komang Raka hikes Mt Batur often and knows slightly easier paths, and when “picture time” begins (great for the ‘gram). He knows where to go for pictures at sunrise, and the perfect angles- I have a basic phone and not into photoshoot but he was able to show me how to use some of the settings for better photos!. He also knows how to beat the crowds for going up and down the mountain (huge plus as other people come from the other connected summit at sunrise for pictures). water is brought for you but I recommend bringing a 2nd bottle and reapplying mosquito repellent before descent. Maybe a snack on the way up before breakfast if you get hungry fast or are sweating a lot. Bit more difficult than “moderate” activity going up, but doable if you’re not a “couch potato”. I wore barefoot walking shoes off Amazon, and my boyfriend wore sneakers; we did just fine; no hiking shoes needed. So worth being sore the next day!!! Such an amazing experience!

Breathtaking experience!

This all day experience was amazing. Our driver Gede picked us up promptly at our hotel. The drive to the base of Mt. Batur was comfortable and safe. Once there, we met our trekking guide Yus. Yus was an amazing guide— he was patient, careful, and funny. We walked up the volcano in about 1.5 hours— taking time to stop as needed. We got to the top with plenty of time before sunrise. Yus prepared us breakfast and coffee. Even though it was intermittently cloudy this was an amazing experience— with gorgeous views. After sunrise, we walked to the summit, felt the hot steam, and began the trek down. The trek down gave us beautiful views of the caldera. After we made it back to the start point, Gede drove us to the Mount Batur natural hot springs. The drive through the area was beautiful. The hot springs felt great on our aching muscles! After the hot springs we went to a coffee plantation and learned about coffee and cacao growth and production. It was delicious! Gede then drove us back to the hotel where we collapsed into a satisfied nap. I cannot speak highly enough about the tour, guides, and experience. Such an amazing deal to see beautiful Bali!

We did the Mount Batur sunrise hike this morning and despite the 1am wake up it was all worth it! Our driver Simon and guide Wira were both incredibly friendly, kind and sweet, they made the overall experience even more special! Simon came to pick us up perfectly on time and made sure we were comfortable on our way to the start of the hike with Wira. We booked a shared group hike, but were three in our group, I guess due to the low season, and but still had a difference in pace among ourselves. However, Wira made all three of us feel comfortable and supported the entire way, he offered constant breaks and waited for us patiently, and we all made it safely to the top despite the surrounding darkness. The hike is not very challenging, but also not that easy due to the darkness, steepness and changes in the ground texture. In the end, we were rewarded with amazing views of the sunrise and Mount Agung, Mount Abang, and Lake Batur, as Wira pointed out. He also shared a lot of interesting details about lives of Balinese, facts about Mount Batur and a lot of other interesting stories, and made us delicious breakfast on top and took some really amazing pictures! He really went above and beyond to make this experience enjoyable, safe and fun for us. Thank you Simon and Wira for making this hike so special and memorable!

The trek to the summit is about 1 1/2 hr uphill. The view from the top is nice, unfortunately it was a cloudy day and the sunrise was blocked. The drivers Ketut and Shiewa did a safe pickup and return journey. The hike leader Yus did a good job on the trail and in having the breakfast prepared.

Wow. Easily speechless. This trek was absolutely amazing. A great workout first thing in morning and absolutely breathtaking views! Our tour guide was Guz_man & we couldn’t have asked for better. He was so sweet & very informational. He made sure we all stayed safe & got all the pictures we wanted. If you are even slightly interested- BOOK! You can not miss out on this experience. The trek is intense, however if you tire there are multiple points in the journey that you can pay someone to motor bike you up, no problem! My husband had to do that, lol. He said it was still a lot of fun. Hope you book & hope you enjoy it as much as we did :)

An unforgettable experience! Indra, our driver, was prompt and friendly, making the early pickup easy. Our guide, Ageng, was fantastic—knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging throughout the Mt. Batur climb. Reaching the summit just before sunrise was magical; watching the sun rise above the clouds was absolutely breathtaking. After the hike, relaxing in the hot springs was the perfect finish. Everything ran smoothly, and both Indra and Ageng made the day feel special. Highly recommend this Mt. Batur sunrise hike and hot springs tour—it’s a must-do in Bali!

We did the Mount Batur Sunrise Hike + Hot Springs and it was an unforgettable experience. The hike itself was well organized, everything went smoothly, and watching the sunrise from the top of Batur was absolutely magical. Our guide Wira was a real legend – super friendly, funny, and very attentive the whole way. He made the trek even more enjoyable and kept the good vibes going from start to finish. Highly recommended if you want to experience the best sunrise in Bali!

Magical Sunrise Trek – Tough but Absolutely Worth It!

We did the Mount Batur sunrise trekking tour this morning, and it was such an unforgettable experience! Our guide, Komang Raka, was incredibly sweet – probably the friendliest person we’ve met since arriving in Bali. He made us feel comfortable and supported the entire way, which we really appreciated. The hike itself was definitely more challenging than we expected. It’s quite steep the whole way up, so I would recommend being prepared both physically and mentally. It’s not an easy walk, especially in the dark, but I promise it’s 100% worth it. The views at the top are magical – and even though the weather changes quickly (cloudy one minute, stunning sunrise the next), it adds to the beauty of the moment. We were in a shared group with two other people we didn’t know beforehand, and it ended up being super fun to meet and hike with them. That said, the pace difference was noticeable – the two guys were fast, and we (two girls) were slower. If you think you’ll need a gentler pace, I’d recommend booking a private tour. That being said, Komang Raka was amazing: he waited for us, offered breaks, and even showed us a slightly longer but easier path to take. He really went above and beyond to make sure we were okay. All in all, it was a beautiful, challenging, and totally rewarding experience. Bring good shoes, some layers, and your adventurous spirit – you won’t regret it! (it would have been nice for the lamps to be head lamps instead of holding them)

Absolutely amazing experience and we are so glad that we got to do this trek on Mt Batur to see the sunrise. Our guide Veera was awesome, so helpful and held my hand on some difficult paths on our way to the top of the mountain. He ensured we were all good and gave lots of breaks in between. Everything was great, from the time of our early morning 2am pick up from our hotel, to the start of the trek, to the breakfast on top of the mountain. And we also got dropped back to our hotel. Included in our pack was a hot spring bath but we decided to not to do it as my 12 year old son was super tired after all the walking. We cannot thank our guide as he was friendly, polite and very informative.

We had great experience with Viator. On time pick up from Canggu, on the way we got some other people from Ubud, and eventually reached trek start point on time. Our guide was very professional and helpful. He took care of every person's need and pace for trek and took good take care of us. We've got good spot for sunrise and got breakfast. The view was breathtaking as we were lucky with weather. And further we went hot spring and to coffee tasting which were included to the package. Our driver then brought us back to Canggu by mid day. Overall would defo recommend Viator 🙏

Weather was forecast to be OK, but turned out to be heavy rain & cloudy from about half way up the mountain, so impacted on the trip & as a result was no sunrise view at all. But can’t control the weather. Our guide was great and a lovely guy could not have asked for better. Highly recommended even in the rain !

It all went very smoothly, the pick up, the climb (although it was quite hard we appreciated the energy and patience!), going to the hot spring (was too crowed though so I wouldn't recommend it) and the coffee plantation (quite nice, got to taste many different coffee/tea). We had a wonderful experience! The transport from our hotel in Ubud to mount Batur (and back again) was good. Our trekking guide told us about the history of the Volcano, and the view at the top was magnificent. We did with the hot spring, and did not regret that decision. After a hike and a long day, we enjoyed 1,5 hours in heated pools. We finished with a visit to a luwak coffee plantation, testing different teas and coffees. In total a wonderful day.

Very memorable experience. Pick up was on time and well communicated. Guide was excellent and provided hiking sticks and torches. Hike is not difficult, but there are slippery points and high inclines. Just need to have decent footwear. Guide went at the pace of the group. Took about 1h30mins. Breakfast was simple but very nice. Views are stunning. Chance of monkey sightings! It can get a little bit crowded but guide helped us with nice view points and pictures. Highly recommend!

This is a must when you visit Bali! Our driver Gede drove us safely from the hotel and back, and he was very kind asking if everything was okay. Our guide Yus was also very attending. He was a very fun guide who gave us a lot of info about the area. And he took great pictures! Highly recommend
