Stewart was knowledgeable and fun. He tried hard to make sure we saw everything on our list to see. The whisky tasting at the end was a bonus too. Great time!

Educational and Delightful Experience

Low_R, Jun 2024
Stewart is knowledgeable, witty and fun company. We spent a few memorable hours together as he shared more about how to appreciate the animals. It was a delightful and enjoyable experience. What we manage to do: i) spotted the lone otter snacking in the waters around the island under the Skyre bridge, ii) learnt more about the lighthouse and how it used to function, iii) sighted a group of Scottish Red deer, a cuckoo, a Goldenhead Eagle (elusive but rewarding as we waited). Absolutely wonderful!

Nothing exciting

Ewald_G, Apr 2024
Nothing memorable - disappointing, needle in a haystack, the whole time in car, didn’t really see anything

Response from Host, Apr 2024

Hi . I showed you both Golden Eagle, White Tailed Eagle, Red Throated Diver . The nature of British Wildlife is that time and luck is required along with my knowledge to produce the best results! As you see from other reviews my tours perform to a high standard giving my clients the chance to see wildlife that is elusive in a short time period. I hope you can understand that Wildlife can not be controlled or tamed and the animals I track are pure Wild .

A unique view of Skye

Heather_K, Sep 2023
What a wonderful afternoon! Stewart picked us up promptly at our hotel and took us off along some country roads in search of Skye wildlife. He had asked what our main interests were and tailored the route and timings to coordinate with the tides and habits of the animals we were interested in. We were lucky enough to spot a golden eagle in flight and a white tailed eagle on a rocky shoal. The best was an imperial stag with his herd of hinds. No way we would have spotted them on our own, or seen them without his scope. We learned a lot about their habits and the island’s ecology. Stewart is a great story teller and this is a great tour to take if you’d like a more in depth experience of the beautiful Isle of Skye.

Beautiful Day on Isle of Skye

Harriet_m, Aug 2023
The most beautiful scenery, Heather was in bloom, the countryside was a lush green, and lots of sheep that look like goats. Stewart was away on a family emergency and his step son, Max, was the guide for this day. He was quite knowledgeable about history of the clans on Skye and their castle ruins, and the unique landscape. We drove the north side of the island which was grand. Max was charming and gracious. His live for the area was obvious. if I ever return I will happily book the tour again and go south.

inoubliable

corinne_p, Apr 2023
