Our tour guide Katsue gave us a walking tour of Sapporo 7-3-2026. The weather was sunny and pleasant. She said this area was innovative in Japanese agriculture practices and development. Their pioneer spirit helped end the rule of the samurai in 1868. The samurai ruled for 150 years. We passed the former Hokkaida government red brick building, and the clock tower which are now museums. We ate a delicious rice bowl on our own at the Nijo fish market-it was like a mini-chirashi. Price was reasonable. We had sample sake and sake ice cream tasting at the sake museum. Aragato!¹

Our guide was very good! She was knowledgeable and helpful and we also learned about Japanese culture which was wonderful! Seen all the main sights in Sapporo.
