Absolutely unforgettable experience visiting Sete Cidades in the Azores! Our guide Daniel was outstanding—talented, engaging, and an incredibly skilled driver. He shared captivating stories about the island, its lakes, and its vibrant people, making each stop feel magical.
We started by exploring the breathtaking western crater of Sete Cidades, one of Portugal's seven natural wonders, which completely exceeded our expectations. A quick comfort stop at the charming Igreja de Sao Nicolau allowed us to stretch, enjoy the local atmosphere, visit the local church, and sip on a relaxing coffee.
The highlight was undoubtedly seeing the mesmerizing twin lakes—Lagoa Verde and Lagoa Azul. Daniel's storytelling about the mystery behind their distinct colors was fascinating (make sure to ask him!), and the view from Vista do Rei Miradouro was genuinely breathtaking.
Daniel made the journey truly memorable, sharing intriguing insights about local people, places, the famous rally races, famous islanders - all this shared over a delicious pastries that you must try.
We're grateful to have spent time with him and will absolutely book another tour with him when we return.

Eduardo/Eddie was our guide and he was great. Turned out to be a private tour, party of three adults, and all of us enjoyed the day. We chose the 3.5hr tour and it was a perfect fit for us. Not physically demanding and Eddie did great at explaining every step plus providing interesting facts along the way. Ride was comfortable and we lucked out on the weather.

Lovely drive to Crater lake and a brief stop in a little village. The scenery exceeded our expectations and our guide stopped at all the best places for photos. We enjoyed having only 6 people in the van vs. a big tour bus. A great alternative to expensive and crowded cruise ship shore excursions.

A fun day but when they say minivan, they mean mini. Eight people and driver in a smallish car was a bit tight. Scenery was great. Overall an ok experience.

This is the perfect tour, especially for those on a cruise ship! Our tour guide (Rodrigo) was excellent! Kind, considerate, knowledgeable, and took his time showing us the beautiful caldera. Even let us take our time and walk along the lake. He found the best views for us to take photos. No worries about meeting him. He will be in the cruise terminal holding a sign with your name on it. Only six passengers plus him in the van, so it was easy to hear him in this setting. You won't regret this one!! Perfect all the way!!

Should be a small group tour, but have a convoy of three large vans with the guide with broken English could be defiantly improved.

Ricardo was great! Very knowledgeable about Sau Migel and the other islands. What started out as a foggy rainy day turned out to be really nice. We did the half day tour of Sete Cidades. Even though Mother Nature was trying to dampen things we still saw the beauty of the area! Also saw the black beaches and dramatic cliffs. Absolutely worth it!

Our driver/guide Carlos was great. Met us at the cruise terminal and provided historical information of the region as we drove to Sete Cidades. We stopped several times for scenic pictures. This was an enjoyable tour worth taking.
