Explore the village of Megalochori and its surrounding son horseback with this small group tour, for up to five participants. Your guide will take you and your group from Megalochori out through fields and vineyards. You'll then take a trail up to a viewpoint with views out over the caldera before returning to the stables.

First problem: the booking asked, speaking language but the guide did not speak English; we used google translate to communicate when possible. We're beginner level but able to ride however, the guide (poor guy)walked us through town pulling the horses and pointing to things. Unfortunately, he couldn't tell us what they were in English. Lol. I offered to end the ride but he did not want to that.
At one point we had to lay close to the Horse to avoid a low bridge. These poor animals are not in the best of conditions (dirty, smelly, worn) and there was something all over the Horse that made this even more gross. I canceled my plans and rushed back to the hotel to shower before doing anything else.
The guide gave us the service so earned the money spent but definitely was not the experience we'd hoped for.

The horses were lovely and the guide took lots of beautiful photos for me on the horse. It was a great way to explore part of the village Megalachori which is very pretty so make sure you leave time to walk around after your ride.

It was a small 50 mins horse ride. The horse don't gallop or trot they just walk calmly. A little overrpiced. Couldn't get sunset pictures of caldera as the horses are not well trained to stay still.

It was so fun and exciting. Our guide, George was very accommodating. He made sure that we are very comfortable with the horses. We rode all over, the stopped on top of the cliff to watch the sunset. We had such a great time. Would definitely recommend!

This was the perfect experience. Beautiful town, beautiful views. Our guide was so kind and informative. I am not super comfortable on a horse but enjoyed every minute because of our guide.

The company/guide was very late. I waited 45 mins at the pick up spot and though they were friendly, they weren’t apologetic. We went in a circle on the horses down a few alleys to see lots of airbnbs and hotels. Nice scenery. Took a couple pictures. Horse riding lasted 30 mins literally and we were finished.

A peaceful ride through the city, ending with a great view of the island. The guide took wonderful pictures and it was a memorable experience! Riding horses in Santorini should definitely be on your bucket list.

It was neat to get off our feet for a while and enjoy the horses. We enjoyed seeing another town. The guides took us to a beautiful overlook of the caldera.

We had a little trouble finding the stables since there’s not really a sign for it, just signs that point you in that direction, but once we found it, it ended up being a fun and private way to see the beautiful little old town of Megalochori! My mom who is 63 had a blast, and we both loved how healthy the horses looked as well as how good they were. It was just us and our guide, but he knew little back roads to get us to the view of the caldera which was absolutely stunning! We weren’t sure what to make of it at first, but this experience has definitely been a highlight of our trip. Would highly recommend!

Super friendly people and the trip was awesome. We were running a bit late due to Uber drop off at wrong location, the operator was patient enough to explain and help us to find the right place. Still manage to get the tour running 20 mins behind.

I thought the tour would be in English, but no just no talking just pictures. Also the cabs hagled with everyone. They should figure out the pick up the cab driver was a horrible experience.

This horse riding excursion was unfortunately disappointing. I am an experienced rider and have done these sorts of rides in several countries, and I’m also a solo traveler, so it was just me and the guide. But starting from the first impression- the place is not easy to find, has no marked door, no office, and I had to flag down someone, who then had to find someone else, to then call the person who would be my guide to meet me. I was not offered a bathroom or water. There was hardly any talking at all from my guide, who I’m not sure even spoke English very well. We did ride through the town to the caldera. Once there, the horse is trained to pose against the background, facing the camera, and wouldn’t turn around, so I didn’t even get a view of the caldera in the literal 90 seconds we spent there before turning right back around. My guide barely even said goodbye to me as I got off the horse, and just walked away. It was pretty boring, as I didn’t get any commentary from my guide about the town. I will say the experience was as described, but would not recommend. This was the least fun activity of my trip, which is a shame because I love riding.

Absolutely amazing horse ride and great guides. Just note that there is little shade and just be clear about timing. But everyone was suer friendly and helpful and we felt absolutely safe on the horses! Thank you so much for a wonderful time!

I thought we would be taught how to ride the horses independently, but instead were led on the tour. It was a nice tour and the views of the caldera were stunning, though I think they led us dangerously close to the edge. There were several times we felt our horses might slip off.
