This was a last minute booking and really pleased we did it, the gentleman that greeted us was very welcoming and friendly!! We went along the beach which was beautiful and up to a lovely little church! He took photos & videos along the way too! No issue parking or finding the location!
Something different & would def recommend!

On arrival we were greeted with a hand shake and given information about the ride. Lovely relaxing ride along the beach with a few stops for photos. After the ride we were offered a bottle of water and some red wine which the owner makes himself and some nibble while we waited on our taxi.

Do not book this!! I have been around horses my entire life and I did not feel safe at all. The horses were spooking the entire time and one of our guides were on their phone. I understand horses spook but this was another level of bad. These horses needed to be quiet and they weren’t. As someone with a horse at home, I didn’t feel safe and I think that says something. I hate giving a bad review but i don’t want any kids coming here and getting hurt

The safety of our guests and the welfare of our horses are always our highest priorities. Our horses are carefully selected for trail riding, receive regular care, and are guided by experienced staff. As with all animals, unexpected reactions can occasionally occur due to environmental factors, but our guides are trained to handle these situations and keep the group safe.
Regarding your comment about the guide using a mobile phone, there are times when our guides need to communicate with our team regarding transportation arrangements, tour coordination, or other operational matters. These brief calls are made only when necessary and never compromise the safety or supervision of our guests.

We enjoyed our ride on the black beach. The horses appear well taken care of and the owner, who was also our guide, was very nice. I would recommend this ride to others if you enjoy sightseeing via horseback. The owner also lined up transportation for us to get back to town and it was very affordable.

This is the place to go for a more private horseback adventure with your loved one. My newly wedded wife and I had an amazing time with this group and the lovely horses. It was quite the thrill too as anyone who has experience with a horse will have free rein with their horse. It was so amazing to watch my wife guide her steed down the beach line. The workers are amazing and the horses are phenomenal.

We chose this because two of my kids wanted a horse riding experience on the beach. It wasn’t what we expected. The man was not super nice honestly grouchy at times. His helper was on FaceTime with his girlfriend the whole time the horses were a little finicky. Two of the five of us had to be tethered to another horse the whole time. He didn’t speak great English so he got frustrated when you didn’t understand him we did six excursions and this was our least favorite one on our whole trip. I honestly wish we didn’t even do it.

It was a cool experience but I don’t think I would do it again. I don’t know if it was just this horse riding excursion but it wasn’t great. Riding the horses initially was really fun and enjoyable but after riding about 30-40 minutes our entire group was ready to get off. The horses were very unpredictable, you would use the instructions they told you to rein the horse in or get them to go left or right and the horses wouldn’t respond to that every time. There were many times the horses would almost start to run or kick up and one time the instructor had to rein my horse in because he would not respond to me. My bottom is sore which is to be expected but still thought I would mention. The wine given at the end was nice but overall experience was fine. I would not do again. The instructors were very kind and helpful though. I’m not sure if it was just these horses or what the issue was.

Amazing experience! It was my family’s first time riding horses and we felt safe. The guides led us with watchful eyes from the front and back. They tethered our horses to the lead and last horse. The horses, all female, were gentle and easy to ride. The view of the black sand beach was amazing! Highly recommend.

He was very nice. It was so peaceful but it was quite fun trying to control the horse. It's one of the cheaper options as well so it was very worth it.

Horses are not real fame! Guy had me tethered to his horse the entire time and I have riding experience! My leg and knee was squashed between the two horses for the entire hour and 1/2 I told him I was in pain and he ignored me! I had tears in my eyes and my leg is all bruised! I asked him why I was tethered he wouldn’t answer! Worse experience ever! The horse I was on buck me as the guide pulled him in so close! Aweful I had no control!

Fun experience with some authentic Greek guides and horse farmers. There was a group of four of us and we were all alone with two guides (probably due to the slow season). The views along the beach were amazing and the guides took great pictures for us. We ended the tour with complimentary homemade wine! Definitely recommend enjoying this excursion

What a ride!! It was a bucket list CHECKED OFF! Our guide was very good and took a lot of pictures of us. The views were breathtaking. The horses were sweet. It’s definitely a NEEDED experience when you come to Santorini.

We did not enjoy this experience, they were good about rebooking when a plane delay occurred, but the gentleman that owns the company took my mother and I out to the beach and had my horse attached to his via a rope the entire ride. Not what I was expecting.

This was such a fun experience - the owner is so incredibly kind and knows where to stop the horses right on the beach for great photos (bring your phone so he can take your photo). It took us a minute to find the entrance but we made it with no problems and we ended up with a private ride because no one else had booked that time slot. The view of the sea and the rock walls are so pretty. Don't forget your knees and backside are going to be sore! But it was so fun to get back on the horse after so many years. I can tell they are really taken care of well here.

Lovely views and the horses were lovely. I am a horse owner, I wouldn't count myself as an experienced rider, this is not for first timers.
The horses know their way home so be prepared for jigging about!
Owner was very purposeful which made it feel a bit regimented, not overly chatty so most of the ride was spent in silence. If you're not confident on a horse, I would avoid this and instead use the time and money on a ship or walking ☺️
Positives: horses were lovely, the view and wine were amazing. Day was saved by an incredible bar down the road - Drunkfish, amazing food and underrated on trip advisor! Opportunity for photos throughout which was lovely.
Negatives: a lot of plastic litter (not the owners fault), not the romantic feel you get from the listing, horses are horses - if you can't ride it's not for you I'm afraid. The owner is quite "hard" and the setting is rustic, don't expect pristine loo/facilities and horses that are gloriously clean.
If you're a horse lover, fancy a scenic ride and can overlook the rustic "get on with it" nature of things go for it!

While I understand animals can be unpredictable, this ride was not what we expected. They were well kept but 3 out of the 4 horses we rode freaked out and took off! Thankfully, everyone managed to stay on their horse and there were no serious injuries. One of the horses ran up a hill towards a branch and the rider put her arm up to shield her face, she had never ridden before and received no instruction on how to control the horse (she was tethered to one of the hosts for most of the ride but no instruction once released). The hosts barely spoke English and were not very friendly although they did provide band-aids and bad homemade wine at the end. We were very disappointed as this was the excursion we were most excited about but at the end we were just glad it was over!

The horses had sores on their heads and on their hips. They were skinny. They weren’t well taken care of.
I was under the impression that we were going to go along the black sanded beach and then said we went through a sandpit with trash everywhere. We did go on the side of beach to get to the sand pits. But it was not as it was described.
I wasn’t impressed and I felt bad for the horses
The older gentleman was very nice and sweet.

The wonderful experience. The guys were very patient and nice. They locked up our bags and keys in a security box. Thus leaving our hands free for the reigns. The held onto our phones and stopped on the beach to take pictures for us. Highly recommend!

Other girl got bucked off her horse and bruised everywhere and my leg hurts and is also bruised from the horses being too close together and the guide kept yelling at me

Great experience. Horses were well behaved and taken care of. The owner was stern but very nice and knowledgeable. He gave us a tasting of his homemade wine and grapes after our ride. Highly recommend this horse tour.
