I tried to contact the operator to see if my date could be changed as i was arriving early - no response. Then i tried to contact them to find out about pick-up time and options for the original date - still no response. It was about 7pm the night before when Viator finally reached them on my behalf and i was told pick-up time, but that was it.
There were things i wanted to do and upon pick-up was told a winery might not be possible because it was too early and not previously arranged… which would not have been the case if someone reached out beforehand.
That said, my driver John did pull through and i had a wonderful time at a winery. But i was charged overtime for a half hr because I was waiting for the server to finish the tasting :/
All in all, i paid for a driver it would seem. This was not a tour. No information. Wanted to see red beach and was just dropped saying ‘walk that way’ only to learn from a ferry operator that it was 20 minutes along crashing waves. Same thing about Akrotiri. No info, no heads-up on entry fee etc.
John was lovely. And did take me to an amazing viewpoint that i wouldnt have otherwise known about. But i think we were in his personal car, which smelled like stale cigarettes and did not make me feel great.
Perhaps its because its end of season and they are just riding the last wave? But i would have rented a car or gone elsewhere at the end of the day.

Thank you for your review. This review is going to help us improve the quality of our services.
We apologize for the smell even though we investigated this on John's car and there was no smell.
The car was not John's personal car but the company's sedan , with our logo etc.
We respect your opinion but it is a bit contradictive. One thing you say erases another thing you previously mentioned in the same review.
2 days before the tour you called and changed the tour date with us. You asked to do the tour a day in advance. We accepted your request and agreed that you would call us back for pick up time.
The day of the tour you never called because the weather was stormy.
So you decided that you call Viator directly in fear that we wouldn't change the date again back to the original.
Viator called us and we agreed a new pick up time on the original date.
Your opinion about your guide is very contradictive. Reading the review again and again we didn't really understand if you had a good experience with him.
Finally I believe that the places you chose to visit for your tour was the places that you didn't like in the end of the day, and the places John picked for you saved the day!
You also believe that renting a car would be better when planning this day , but driving after wine tasting? Not recommended!

We booked a 6 hour tour we were picked up promptly at noon just as requested. Our guide was Adonis. 10/10 recommend! He is a local been there 25 years. He took us everywhere and more. He knew the perfect times to be there. We saw it all and were never rushed.

Max was awesome. Very informative and took us to Imerovigli for our photo shoot. From there we went to 3 diff locations for pictures including famous ones w all the blue domes. I can’t wait to see my photos in a week. Would def recommend if you don’t have too much time in santorini and want something memorable.

George was an excellent tour guide. We made couple of suggestions and George have a few more which made our tour extra special. We only booked a 3 hour tour and was over by 30 minutes but George never rushed us and we got to see all the things we wanted to see.

Harris was our guide. He took us all over the island, making pit stops along the way to see beach’s, villas, the expensive walkway on top of the mountain where most pictures of Greece originated. He also made a pit stop to buy more booze when our 1st bottle was gone (after taking the cable car up the mountain from our ship-very scary experience for us due to heights). We stopped 1st thing off the cable car & bought a bottle of white wine to calm us down. Harris also made a recommendation for the second bottle of wine & his choice was very good. Dropped us near all the small streets w/restaurants, bars & gift shops & had a wonderful meal at one restaurant he recommended!!

Nikos did a great job. We booked a three hour tour. Nikos dropped us off in Oia, and that took pretty much all of the 3 hours. Nikos would have let us extend it, but unfortunately our cruise ship was leaving.
