The Captain/ Owner was outstanding. He was a great host on his “ J “ boat. Fantastic views of San Juan Bay and Old San Juan. He got some great photos of my wife and I! Highly recommended this experience.

Very relaxing and intimate sail. The captain was amazing and knew so much history about San Juan. He seved drinks and even let us steer the sail boat. The tour was amazing and I definitely recommened this sail boat tour.
Wonderful experience on this sunset sailing trip. The captain was very personable and extremely knowledgeable about the history of Puerto Rico. Drinks were included and delicious. A relaxing and low key vibe. Just a really fun and amazing sailing experience. Would definitely do it again next time we are on the island.
What an amazing excursion!!! Ivan was so pleasant and informative. Ivan was so kind! Will book again.
Best experience ever! Nice trip with a small group of people. Our captain ‘Ivan’ is very awesome, well knowledgeable about Puerto Rican history, good sailing, great vibes and just fun all around.
Highly recommend to this amazing activity :)
He was so knowledgeable about the area.
It was an amazing sunset sailing ride with a history lesson. We loved it.
Such a pleasant ride on the water at sunset. I truly enjoyed the information provided and captain. The sangria didn't hurt either. :-)
This is a low key sail around the bay with a local sailor. I really enjoyed it, but it is not a party cruise!
Best time! My son was able.to steer the boat and we all had the best time! Definitely recommend!!! Must try
We had an amazing time on the trip. The staff was thoughtful and you can tell they were very experienced. The boat was clean and comfortable, perfect for a group of 4. We had an excellent time on the cruise, our guide Ivan was an expert sailor and also gave us plenty of explanations of what we were seeing along the way, as well as suggestions on authentic experiences within Puerto Rico! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a sailing experience around San Juan.
We had a great experience! Joe was a great captain. :) Wlit was so peaceful to sail and we learned a lot about San Juan Bay.
Lovely way to spend the evening and take in Old San Juan! Booked last minute but would recommend planning ahead. We lucked out.
A great way to see Old San Juan and learn about the history and culture of the area. A smooth ride and small group makes this experience really enjoyable.
A very personal experience with engaging, heartfelt conversation! Not to mention, a fun and different view of San Juan from the water.
Not thier fault, we missed the booking because of another booking and traffic, if you're doing this booking only do this one or you'll lose money, other outing take a long time driving around
Amazing experience! The captain is fantastic. Friendly, fun, knowledgeable, makes you feel safe. Follow the provided instructions and you won't have a problem. Put "San Juan Bay Marina" in your uber app/gps. Meet at the green gate, next to the building. Arrive a few minutes early because the boat leaves at the scheduled time. It's not a party boat (in the best way). Highly recommend and would absolutely book this tour again.
Ivan was a fantastic guide - it was easy to meet up with him and get on the boat. We got to help steer, enjoyed some drinks, and had plenty of photo ops. Ivan also gave us plenty of food recommendations. We had a great experience with him and the other couple on board - highly recommend! I would be sure to wear comfortable shoes and have your cameras ready :)
We had an amazing time with this experience. Captain Ivan was friendly, and kind, and very hospitable. We all had a really lovely evening. His knowledge about San Juan and Puerto Rico (history, current events, and local culture/restaurants) kept us well entertained as it was all very interesting. The views were beautiful, and it was the perfect amount of people. My daughter was thrilled to have a chance to turn the rudder as we came back in.
Got to green gate a half hour early. Was never more than 10 feet away from gate. A guy came and asked if we were there for sunset tour we said yes. He looked said we weren’t on the list. Figured it was a different tour. Asked about it and discovered where they were docked and walked to the slip only to find out it was gone. We did our part. Requested refund and was denied. Got to the slip in in a couple minutes. This was a total scam and rip off. The last time I use Viator crap
Do not book, if expecting to travel with more than 6 do not book. 6 maximum a boat. Also it says alcoholic beverages are included. This is true but you only get 2 per person the entire ride. So if u think it’s all you can drink it is not. Also the captains are not very professional and are quite rude. 1/100 would never book again

Yes, we actually appreciate that this customer decided not to come back again, people who cannot respect a USCG captain, and just want to use our sailing trip to get drunk and increase the risk are not welcome.
We offer drinks, and is discretional on the captain if we give you more than two.
This is a small operation, and our rules are made to strain the toxic people off, but rats always manage their way in.
Captains may sound mean sometimes, because is actually the last word in a boat, there is no democracy aboard, the USCG Law and the insurance is very tough on us.
If you are looking for an authentic sailing by a historical bay amazing views, this is your sailing trip with only 6 people aboard, not a crowdy mass production business . . . if you are looking to get drunk with complimentary drinks, better pay for it in one of the many bars in San Juan
Perfect thing to do in San Juan after a day of exploring the usual spots on land. The sunset and time of day is really great for good sailing on awesome racing J 30‘s. Captain Ivan was extremely professional, a very friendly, capable host, a safe sailor even with strong winds, and very knowledgeable about the history of Puerto Rico, San Juan and the Area.
Our whole family agrees that we made some of our favorite memories from this vacation in those few hours on that sailboat. We had already toured el Morro and Old San Juan - but we learned more here!
the icing on the cake was a locals-only dinner restaurant recommendation from Ivan afterward in nearby Ocean Park- husband and kiddos totally happy.
Make sure you pay attention to the instructions when you register for this excursion, not just the 5pm start time! That is when the boats leave.
They mean it—you need to plan AHEAD for traffic and be there at least an hour to 45 minutes prior to sailing time. Ignore the Viator auto reminders that tell you 5pm! That is when they push off the dock.
Stop at the guard shack, if you are early they will send you through the green pedestrian gate, proceed down around to the Sizzler Terrace and where the sailboats are. Hang out near the J30 sailboats Morcilla/Ivana (ask someone)
The crew will show up probably sometime between 4:15-4:25. Do not be late, 5pm is sailing time NOT arrival at the marina time…

These customers and many others in the same mindset, make our work worth and also make us proud of what we do.
About departing and location, just wait by the green pedestrian gate at San Juan Bay Marina (its the only entrance) we actually don't want you hanging around the marina by us, because we won't pay attention to you there, since we are getting everything ready, as fast as possible. Arriving before departure time, its just logical, show up before the show starts
Captain Joe was very nice, sailing was smooth, the sangria was delicious 😋 my friend and I enjoy it very much
Excellent sunset sail. Trip operator did a good job of ensuring safety, and providing a comfortable, engaging tour.
Garbage experience. I have photo timestamp proof my party and I were there prior to demanded time on the paid ticket. Then to be refused a refund. I also have competitors to state I was there prior to departure time. 1 star reviews are spot on.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
all other customers who REALLY arrived BEFORE departure time sailed. These guys are not saying the truth, our business is to sail people not to leave them. They showed up apparently late, and tried to convince viator to refund, telling all kind of lies
Beautiful sail around different landmarks of Puerto Rico in 3/11/26. Our guide was superb, friendly and engaging. Definitely worth doing
The Captain/ Owner was outstanding. He was a great host on his “ J “ boat. Fantastic views of San Juan Bay and Old San Juan. He got some great photos of my wife and I! Highly recommended this experience.
My mom and I went on a sunset sail with Captain Ivan and had such a great time! Can’t beat being out on the water in a sailboat watching the sun go down with the salty wind on your face. Captain Ivan shared interesting history and recommendations with us. I will definitely do this again when I’m in Puerto Rico next time!
Captain Joe was amazing, this whole experience is awesome. Joe feels more like a friend than a your guide, he’s incredibly knowledgeable. His wife and co captain Maria is amazing as well. 10/10 cant recommend enough.
The boat ride was great from beginning to end! We were greeted at the entrance of the Marina which eliminated any confusion on where to go. Both gentlemen were inviting, polite and informative. The sangria was tasty and the captain (I think that’s the correct terminology) was very interactive with the patrons. I 100% recommend this activity while visiting Puerto Rico!

Thanks Loutisha! It was a pleasure having you sailing with us
Very relaxing. You get a history of old San Juan and beautiful views and the sunset was breathtaking. The crew was great
Ours was a smaller sail boat which made the experience cozy. We really liked it. Our pictures are really clear and nice.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Both sailboats in our fleet are J30s, 30 feet racer cruisers, the right size, there's not a smaller one. The smaller you get, the more fun actually
