A nice paced and informative two hour tour. We have been to Puerto Rico before but didn't know much about the history. Riza pointed out things we never would have noticed on our own. She gave us some personal insights and certainly gave us some ideas for where to explore more on our own. It was thoroughly enjoyable!
Response from Host, Apr 2026

The walking tour was fantastic! My Apple watch logged about 3 miles but there were plenty of little breaks, places to sit, and lots of shade. Alberto was incredibly knowledgeable and fun.

Kaira, sounds like a great balance of exploring and taking it easy along the way. We’re glad Alberto kept things fun and informative while making the pace comfortable, thanks for joining!

You’ll have more time stopping for bathroom breaks and food breaks then learning about old San Juan. Tour guide good at knowing people’s names and the individuals but that is not what we paid for. Otherwise she was knowledgeable
RoyP, Mar 2026
The tour walked us through old San Juan where we heard about the history, the architecture and importance of Puerto Rico.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Hi Roy,
Thank you for sharing this. I’m really glad you enjoyed walking through Old San Juan and learning about the history, architecture, and the importance of Puerto Rico. There’s so much depth in those streets, and it means a lot to know the experience connected with you.
We hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon.
Wayne_S, Feb 2026
We thought it would include El Morrow although it did not. Overall, our Guide was very fluent in English and very knowledgeable.
Lucinda_M, Feb 2026
Nice tour- good tour guide - one problem. We did not return to our starting point - tour guide left us in the middle of somewhere Old San Juan with vague directions - that turned out incorrect to get to a place we could obtain Uber. Disappointing - but otherwise good tour.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you for sharing your feedback, Lucinda.
We’re really glad to hear you enjoyed the tour overall and that you had a good experience with your guide. That means a lot to us.
At the same time, I’m truly sorry about the confusion at the end. We understand how frustrating it must have felt to be left unsure about directions, especially when trying to arrange transportation. That’s not the experience we want anyone to have after spending time with us in Old San Juan.
We’ll be addressing this with our team to make sure end-of-tour instructions are always clear and accurate, and that guests feel fully comfortable getting to their next destination. Your feedback helps us improve, and we appreciate you taking the time to point it out.
Thank you again for joining us. We hope to have the chance to welcome you back and provide an even smoother experience from start to finish.

Pick another vendor.
This vendor did not handle the situation with any sort of urgency or interest. We toured Old San Juan on our own with a map from Tour Office near cruise port.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Hello Gary,
While we understand and share your frustration and we try everything in our power to make every tour run, some times emergencies and cancelations are unavoidable. We offered alternate times and when rebooking was not possible we offered a full refund and our deepest apologies.
We are very disappointed that this is the impression that you took from us and hope to make it up to you in the future.
Warm regards.

Alberto was a terrific guide. He is very personable, knowledgeable and communicates his passion for local history. The walk was a reasonable pace for all with appropriate breaks and "shade hunting".
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you for the 5-star review, Adele! We’re so glad Alberto’s knowledge, passion, and thoughtful pacing made your walk through Old San Juan enjoyable.
Laura_F, Feb 2026
Rizza (sp?) was wonderful. Besides being so welcoming she was very knowledgeable about her beautiful city. No matter what question you asked she was very respectful. When I asked why the flags were flying at halfmast at the governor's house she went and asked a nearby police officer. We had a great time learning about the history of this rich port city. At the end she sent all of us her favourite places to eat in Old San Juan. An added bonus!
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you for the 5-star review, Laura! We’re so glad Raiza’s knowledge, attentiveness, and personal recommendations made your tour of Old San Juan such a memorable experience.
Adelaide_J, Feb 2026
Riaza, was a wonderful tour guide. She gave great suggestions for restaurants and knew the area very well.
Angela_G, Feb 2026
Claudia was not only a knowledgeable guide, full of interesting facts and observations, she was also a lot of fun! So full of passion for beautiful Old San Juan and Puerto Rico, her enthusiasm was really contagious. The tour is the perfect length and distance. We also really liked the small size of our group, especially compared with the huge groups passing by. Overall, it was a great experience that all I’m our party enjoyed. Thank you, Claudia!

Great way to start our trip in San Juan. Claudia was so patient and she knew her way around. She was lots of fun to be with.
kathleen_g, Jan 2026
Miguel really knew his Old San Juan history and the walking tour was perfectly paced. We learned much about the history of this beautiful place and it prepared us well for our afternoon visit to San Cristobal. We stopped for cold water along the way--much needed on such a warm day. Miguel never broke a sweat!
Ronald_M, Jan 2026
Our tour guide Lesley Ann was great! She had an excellent knowledge of the history of Puerto Rico and San Juan, including art and architecture. This was a 2 hour tour highlighting important landmarks of Old San Juan. I was a little disappointed that we didn't get to go inside El Morro, but by then we were hot, tired and ready to go back to the hotel. It would need a separate tour. Lesley made certain that we got restroom breaks and chances to sit and get water. She was happy to take photos of our group.
Karl_M, Jan 2026
It's a fantastic way to learn more about the history of San Juan, and also learn about the architecture of buildings, etc.
Ashley_H, Jan 2026
Danny was great-super nice and informative. I felt like I learned and saw a lot without it being overwhelming.
Duane_L, Jan 2026
Tour almost entirely outside old city wall. Good intro on history of SJ, but emphasized native culture and feminist accomplishment (first woman mayor. Walked in the Princess park to the water, stopping at the woman mayor statue and the statue near the water for detailed explanations. Reasonable, but would/should be minor details in tour of old city. Walked up to and through the remaining city gate, where there was a discussion of wall structure and the statue of the bishop and folks that walked in plain view of the British fleet- the last attempted invasion of the British. Walked up hill to the cathedral and the little park in front, which was named for that first woman mayor. Cathedral newly renovated, but not included in tour. That was the end. As you might guess, the tour guide had an agenda and it wasn't to see old city. But a very nice lady.
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Hello Duane,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Our two hour walking tours are designed to present Old San Juan as a living historic city, weaving together architecture, defensive systems, cultural development, and the people who shaped the city over more than five centuries. We are very proud of our guides’ ability to bring these elements together into a cohesive and engaging narrative.
Our routes may include areas just inside and just outside the original city walls, such as Paseo de la Princesa, which played an important role in Old San Juan’s colonial and defensive history and helps illustrate how the city functioned as a fortified settlement.
Regarding the Cathedral of San Juan Bautista and the Catedral de San José, interior access is not always available due to services, operating hours, or special events. For this reason, these landmarks are discussed from the exterior, and guests are encouraged to visit inside independently before or after the tour when possible, especially following recent renovations.
We understand that every traveler has different expectations, and while this experience may not have been the right fit for you, we appreciate you sharing your perspective and hope to welcome you again in the future.
Thanks!

This was a great overview of the area and our tour guide, Naomi, was amazing. She covered so much history and shared advice about places to dine and see. It got pretty warm but Naomi was great at finding shady spots for us to stop. After the tour, she even guided us to the restaurant that created the frozen Pina Colada, which we had to sample...of course!
Amanda_G, Jan 2026
Danny was an incredible guide! He is fluent in English and Spanish and exceptionally knowledgeable about Puerto Rico’s complex history. He gave my fiancé and me a deep dive into the island’s evolution, from historical rule changes and trade shifts to the modern "political gray area" of its status.
I especially loved his insights into how the island has changed over the last 10–20 years. Danny even went above and beyond by giving us book recommendations so we could keep learning. If you want a tour that is both thoughtful and deeply insightful, book with Danny!
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Thank you for the fantastic review! We're thrilled to hear that Danny provided you with such an insightful and enriching experience. Danny is amazing!
Stanton_A, Jan 2026
The tour was in Old San Juan on December 29, but a festival in the city prevented us from driving there. Roads were closed or traffic diverted making it impossible getting to our destination.
Robert_K, Jan 2026
Nahiomy our guide, was great and very knowledgeable. We had a wonderful experience and will be back on our next trip.
