Participants will meet at the statue and then walk to the beach for the class. Latecomers should stand with their backs to the statue, and walk right to the roundabout by the beach with palm trees and shade. There, they'll find us.

My friend and I had such a good time learning Afro Puerto Rican history through dance. I’m pretty shy but the instructors made us feel very comfortable learning the Bomba.

Absolutely a fantastic experience! I loved learning the history and the dance was pretty easy and fun to learn. A great option for anyone who isn’t interested in partner dance and lines to freestyle :) would book again!

It is a really fun experience where you are able to dance like no one is watching. Great for all ages and dance levels, you don’t need any previous dance experience. You’ll experience great music and lots of laughs!

The sunset the beach the vibe was everything!! The instructor the drummer amazing!!!!! The pride of Bomba was evident and I’m so proud to have participated in this incredible event!!! My daughter is so proud that this is part of her history!

Attended the bomba dance class on the beach with my nieces, mother and other family ranging in ages from 8-65 and it was amazing. The instructor made this ancestral African dance accessible and created a powerful experience. Very welcoming and empowering experience.

The instructor kept everyone engaged. Her energy is welcoming and positive. She gave us all the encouragement to learn something new. I enjoyed every minute. The atmosphere was euphoric and the best weather.

Wonderful experience for all ages. The location wasn’t too difficult to find. If necessary just ask one of the police officers nearby. I suggest bringing some water bc you do work up a sweat. Over all a great learning experience. I’d definitely do it again.

This was a last minute excursion and it was the perfect way to end my time in Puerto Rico. The vibes and energy of the musician and instructor was so good for our group. I never knew Bomba would be this fun!

We had such an amazing time doing a Bomba in Puerto Rico! 🇵🇷
My two younger daughters (7 & 8) joined, along with my 76-year-old mother-in-law, and it truly was fun for all ages. The instructor were patient, engaging, and made everyone feel comfortable right away.
We learned four basic Bomba rhythms and routines, and it was such a beautiful way to connect with our culture, music, and movement. 💃🏽🥁
Highly recommend this experience for families it was educational, interactive, and so much fun.

Good things: the first instructor was very knowledgeable, there was a live drummer, the instructor took tons of pictures and videos. Not so good: the class started 30 minutes late and ended 30 minutes late, it was Very fast-paced, and our group was very crowded.

Whatever you do, don’t book this tour. This tour company is probably a scam. No one showed up to the class and no one has responded to any of my messages including the ones sent by Viator. Do not book a class with this company. It’s a shame because I really wanted to take this class with my mom and we weren’t able to because no one came.

Must try class if you would like to learn about puertorican culture. The view, the teacher, the class were amazing. The teacher is very knowledgeable and will have you dancing bomba in a matter of minutes.
