I enjoyed the experience. My husband got seasick. The naturalist was great at narrating and answering questions. We did not see any whales, but we got a free pass to try again. We did see common dolphins and feeding frenzy from the pelicans and other birds. We saw seals sunning on the bouy. .It was great being out on the water in the sunshine. Recommend long hair be tied back or braided. I definitely recommend this experience, but my husband, not so much.

This experience was AWESOME!!! We completely enjoyed ourselves. Lila was very good at keeping us informed on Marine knowledge. She was great at letting us know when a whale appeared. I want to do this again!!

We had a great whale watching experience. The crew works hard to find whales, scouring the horizon with binoculars. We saw three whales on our cruise plus dolphins and sea lions. Highly recommend!

Great staff. The snack bar is card only so don't expect to pay with cash. If you get sea sick take motion sickness meds just before you get in line so it has time to kick in. Plan on about 3-4 hours on the boat.

We all had a great time. We really enjoed being out on the water and for my grandkids. It was the first time they had seen whales. The lady who did most of the talking was very informative and easy to follow. She made the trip very enjoyable by making sure we knew where to look and when to look.

If the weather is nice you will enjoy a beautiful view of San Diego and a smooth ride. We saw sea lions and dolphins but no whales. Luck of the draw. Boat is a nice size.

We saw 2 grey whales multiple times, several dolphins, and some sea lions sunbathing. Overall, it was a great outing. Weather was perfect and the guide was amazing, providing information throughout the experience!

Excellent trip, great information provided by the hosts. We saw Minke Whale, Gray Whales, several pods of dolphins, and sea lions. The boat was nice, the crew was great. We were fortunate to have very clear calm day on the ocean. Great trip!

Good way to kill time and enjoy a sunny day out in the ocean. It can get very windy and chilly so don't forget to bring a sweater! We saw a grey whale and a large pod of dolphins.

This was a nice trip...The staff on the boat were very nice...The trip was 3.5hrs long...We saw dolphins and sea lions...Unfortunately, we didn't see any whales, but that's always a possibility...Can't blame the tour operators for that...Since we didn't see any whales, as we got off the boat, we were given a voucher to come back another time, and the voucher has no expiration date...All in all, it was a very nice trip..

We only saw 1 whale, a dolphin, and some sea lions. Was a beautiful warm day and the ocean was calm. Nice way to see the coastline and harbor area. They shared great information about whales and the harbor area.

We loved it! The weather was beautiful, the waters calm, and the staff seemed to enjoy their jobs. We would have enjoyed being on the water even without the whale sighting, but we did see a couple, along with dolphins and sea lions. Would definitely recommend!

The set up was very professional and well organised the problem we had was when we got out to the open Pacific the swell of the sea was so big they decided to pull the plug and take us back to shore which was quite understandable so we never actually got the experience we hoped for and because we were going home the next day couldn’t use our rain check ticket for whale watching but we did use it for the north harbour trip which was excellent

Great experience - we saw whales, sea lions, and dolphins. The experience does take the full 3 hours and if you are prone to sea sickness you should take the meds. But overall very fun and an experience I wanted to try. Very glad I did.

A wonderful day on the water, February 2026, we saw at least ten gray whales and tons of dolphins and sea lions. It was a great trip and Lyla the naturalist was awesome. So much fun with a little education to boot!
