What an amazing night we had! Velu was amazing, very informative, and so kind. He was very optimistic that we would find an Aurora and he was correct! We were nervous as the weather was cloudy but we soon found quick skies as we headed north. We would highly recommend his tour!

Velu our guide was amazing! We could tell he had a deep love for aurora chasing and was willing to do whatever it takes to get his guests into the right spots. This night to avoid clouds we drove to Sweden. We were also very lucky in getting a large display. We could not have asked for anything more.

My first amazing northern lights evermore. The guide gave us a safe drive until we get the light spot and we made it in 7 hours drive! It was not a good condition but he didn't give up and listened to our decision carefully whether we would like to keep going further or not. Not because of the northern light itself, I really enjoyed the tour as having a chat with the local guide. It was absolute hyvä hyvä moment in Rovaniemi! I forgot saying it when I was under the light 🤦‍♀️ Super recommended tour if you don't want to go back to home without any light photo!

Velu is a great guide. He did everything possible to ensure that we could see the aurora even though it was very cloudy. He took us to the north of Lapland and he did it. 100% recommended.

silent drive

guide did a great job of navigation and was willing to go great lengths to find the lights (as per his description) however the environment was stiff and there was no information. Because it was often silent I found it a bad environment for solo travelers. Rather than being a guided tour it was moreso just a drive and I would’ve enjoyed more information/spark given the hefty price.

Thank you for your feedback Gretchen! I completely understand your sentiment and I'm actively figuring out ways to improve this. When I'm driving I need to keep track on the road, traffic, satellite data and cloud movements, among many other things. I also have to read the room when it comes to what to say and when. For example many of my customers prefer only the most vital information and want to travel and watch the Auroras in peace. Or if I notice some of my customers sleeping I don't want to disturb them and wake them up by talking unless it's urgent. I try to keep my customers updated and provide information to the best of my abilities whenever I can. Alas, currently the problem I have on a fully or near-fully booked tour (such as yours was) is that the loud background noise coming from the vehicle's motor and tire contact on the sometimes very bumpy roads requires me to turn my head to the right (which means I can't watch the road at the same time) and basically shout if I want people in the back row to hear anything. When there's customers right next to me I can't do that without them having to cover their ears. This is why I'm planning on installing a microphone array in my van and connecting it to the car's speaker system so that even the back row can hear what I'm saying without me having to shout it out loud, making guiding much more convenient for everyone inside the noisy car :) I truly appreciate your feedback and this just gives me even more motivation to improve on my tours in any ways that I can.
