What an awesome tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable about the plants and animals and did a great job finding things for us to see. We highly recommend this tour!!

great tour, eat something before you go

This was one of the better tours we took. Its located maybe 15 minutes out of town up a steep dirt road in the middle of the jungle. We each were given a good flashlight, and the guide spent the better part of two hours leading us down paths in the jungle, looking for creatures. We saw a number of birds (mostly sleeping), several kinds of toads and frogs including the famous red-eyed tree frog, a bunch of caymans, and even a brief glimpse of a kinkajou. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The only issue we had was that the taxi they hired to pick us up dropped us off at the wrong location, several hundred meters from the right location. Fortunately we had phone service and were able to quickly got the issue sorted via a whatsapp chat with the tour operator. Due to the 430 pickup and 8pm end time, next time I would plan to have a little something to eat before the pickup to avoid getting hangry before the tour ends- by the time we got back to our apartment there weren't many restaurants still serving dinner.
