Our hotel is pretty far out and the taxi arrived in time as directed. The trip was well organised and staff on boat were all friendly . The boat coming back was lively again very friendly staff had a fab day although it is a long day travelling from the grand sirenis

this was a time! the boat on the way to the island was a vibe i didn’t like how you had to pay for food but the drinks are unlimited, the views are breath taking and it’s something you don’t wanna miss out on when traveling to the dominican republic! when you arrive at the island everyone is just living their lives and the water is so clear now the toilets on the island don’t work and they don’t have toilet seats so take that how you want lol
Horrible experience. The driver was late picking us up for the excursion. Then we got taken to a gas station and dropped off where we were told to get on another bus. It was a 2 hour ride to the boat. The boat ride is 2 hours long then you get to the island and only get an hour and a half to spend there. We then had another 2 hour boat ride back and another 2 hour bus ride where instead of taking us back to our hotels they took us to a flea market and we were left there. We had to go inside the store trying to find a ride home. Horrible experience and will NOT be recommending this experience to anyone else.
Only gave 4 stars because the driver charged me $60 to pick me up from dreams CapCana although the website shows that pick up was included.
It is a complete tourist trap. It took us over 4 hours by van and boat to get to the island... the narrative should have said that as I would never had booked. The tour company made us stop at a horrible store to buy crap. The boat going had no bathroom. The boat coming back had a toilet that did not flush and with no running water in the sink. The island had absolutely no running water and you had to wash your hands in a bucket in which everyone else was using. The food was absolutely mortifying and there was no drinking water to buy. The unsanitary conditions cause my entire party of 6 to become sick with GI issues since last night upon our return. It was 10 compete wasted hours, and I would never recommend this tour company to my worst enemy. Very disappointed in Viator for even listing this horrible travel experience on your website. I personally will be looking for another tourist sight to book future travel experiences as clearly Viator can not be trusted on their recommendations. Very disappointed in Viator as I have used this on over 4 continents in the past 5 years.
This is not a paradise island. The boat trip there is nice. The stop off to swim is a nice spot but you are not allowed on shore .
You arrive at another beach which has a load of very worn out sun loungers, and huts with what turns into a Buffett.
If you want a day out of your resort go for it. But have low expectations, it is not a paradise island. The Buffett system is hectic, not enjoyable. The shore is crowded with boats.
If you have a nice resort and beach I do not think this is worth it at all.
The catamaran was great fun on the return. The best part of the trip with lovely music and dancing.
Staff are nice - it’s just not the “paradise island” you are sold..
It was amazing from start to finish the food the views the drink 10s on 10s on 10s shot out to black banana him and his crew is the best
It’s much longer than expected so definitely bring water, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses and put nothing else on your schedule for the day. Other than that it’s exactly what they advertise it to be and you should expect what they say.
Solicitors will haggle every 5 mins once on the “island”. Food is minimal and random . Boat ride back is “party boat” style.

Good afternoon! Description clearly says Catamaran boat’s party included.
Was great experience very well organized pick was on time can’t complain was well worth 110 cdn per person
Very unorganized, says 8-9 hours, you spend most of it traveling, only about 1.5 hours on the actual island. Crammed into everything like sardines, wet and on top of each other. Had to walk a quarter mile from where we were dropped off by provided transportation just to wait around. When it was time to leave they called everyone over and didn’t know what to do or where to boat was or the captain, spent the next 15 min standing as a group in the sun confused. If you only speak english, don’t expect them to translate instructions for you. Overall, beautiful island but nothing at all to do on it and felt very chaotic and a waste of money
It was a great experience. The people, the guide tours, the dancers, the beach, and the weather were the best. The food was good, but it needs the Dominican flavor. I 100 % reconmendanded
It was a very long day. Kinda of felt like part of a herd of cattle shuttled around from place to place and multiple vans. The beach was rather run down and too full of people. Nothing like the description. The catamaran was cool on the way back but I’m not of fan of watching a bunch of twerking so I could’ve done without the party part. I’d rather have just relaxed and enjoyed the view.

It’s not a party boat… English speaking was very limited including the drivers of both vans… the boat tour guide spoke English but only if I asked “what did you say”. The food was good on the island and the pool floating in the sea was nice… The Rum was real lol 😂

Good morning! Thank you for your feedback we'll take it into consideration to continue improving.
🌴 The trip was fantastic! Saona Island offered breathtaking scenery, and the natural swimming pool was a true highlight—crystal-clear waters and a serene atmosphere made it unforgettable. The staff were warm, welcoming, and added a personal touch that made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

Thank you for your feedback!
Great day. Danny boy was our guide. Definitely worth going. Only thing that disappointed us was constantly asking to buy things on boat and on island. Just had to say no all the time.
This is the second time I’ve visited and took this tour. And as always I have a blast. The tour guide Danny Boy was amazing. He made sure we stuck together and didn’t get separated. We also had John along on our tour and he was absolutely the best! I highly recommend
Great catamaran and speed boat trip. Beautiful beach. Danny Boy and crew were very good, helpful, with attention to detail. Lots of fun dancing and drawing people in. The lunch was good, except the spaghetti … terrible.
The island was beautiful! It was very structured but also a cluster f. Pick up was right on time but has to stop for multiple ppl @ different resorts took forever to get to the boat area 1.5 hrs from dreams onyx. The boost was great very relaxing. There's only rum & water. The vendors when you get they're are like vulchers have cash. Everyone wants tips the bathroom lady told my friend $1 for toilet paper 🙄 anyways it was a good day beautiful island good food but alcohol was a very big disappointment even on the island they only had rum beer (for purchase @ $5.00 a van and water. Ride back was on a speedboat!
Before we got to our first stop, the crew on the boat had is vibing! Drinks and music was on point. We stopped at Bayhibe for about 30-45 mins and it was so nice. Once we got to Saona island, we got an authentic DR meal then we were able to just relax on the beach for about 3 hours.
Everything would have been great if we were not being ripped off by the massage vendors in the beach. Charged us $100,00 for less than $20 min massage and photo guys wanted $15 per picture for the air drop. When we said it’s way too much for only 1 photo he said we need to pay min of $30. Company tried to charge you for evening. Staff was friendly by did not assisted with issues on the beach.
It took more time to go to the destination and back than the activities itself. Pretty bad excursion. NOT worth the money.
- 2 hours to get to the boat.
- 1 hour boat ride to the natural pool
- swim for ONLY 30 min
- 20 minutes to the Island.
- we had less than 2 hours in the island
- 1 hour to get food and eat mediocre food.
- that leaves you 50 min or less to enjoy
- 1.5 hour back to the hotel.
That’s your day. NOT worth the money (expensive) and waste of time.
The best experience ever and Coca Cola and his team made it incredible for us!! Loved every minute of it
Saona Island is beautiful, but not worth the time and aggravation. We were picked up at 8am and did not get to the island until about 1:30, with a 3:20 departure. No time to really explore or enjoy. Food subpar. I would take an excursion to the sand bar near Punta Cana instead.
Everything was wonderful. We had a very nice tour. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to see true beauty.
We are a family of 4 and went with our friends who are a family of 5. All kids under 8. The day was long but well worth it. We were picked up at 7:30 am and we were brought back to our hotel at 7 pm.
We were picked up at our resort and took a bus ride to a meeting area where we went on another bus that was approx 2 hrs all together from Punta Cana. The catamaran is 1 h 45 min and then you have 30 min in the natural pool to swim. The whole time at Saona is 2 hrs and then a motor boat back + another 2 hr bus ride approx back.... Its a long day and they should make this all very clear. I would suggest if going with young kids to bring snacks as you won't be eating till lunch. I also suggest bringing some coloring, or activities as the catamaran is fun but it is long for kids. Saona is stunning and the beach is breathtaking. All in all it was a fabulous day.
Buses brought people from multiple resorts and we met great people from all over the world. We took speed boat to island. Had a great meal. Staff members did a great job of keeping track of everyone and explaining details. We had a couples session with a photographer which was great fun. Partied on catamaran in return from island. Bus took us back to our resort. An absolutely WONDERFUL experience!
Was amazing good Tpur amazing island and good food, the catamaran so nice and chill and a good time for enjoy the island.

We enjoyed the trip. The tour operator contacted us through Whatsapp to arrange the pickup. The trip on catamaran with music and cuba libre was fun. The beach on Saona was amazing, although it becomes a bit crowded when all boats arrive. The food was decent. The swim in the shallow waters near the shore with more rum on the floating bar was fun too. The trip is not a 5 star experience but it’s worth the money.
