Good not great

Chiara_C, Feb 2026
We did this experience yesterday and it was good. Would I book it again? Probably not. As many explained the buggy riding is just up and down the street, then you go off road to a river (that nobody wanted to swim in nor is really nice to see), then you get a sales pitch and have lunch after that. The ziplining was fun! The tour guides were nice, there’s just a lot of begging for tips. For someone that really likes the thrill, this was an experience that didn’t wow me. It takes all day, so be aware that you lose a full vacation day.

The zip-lining experience...

Caitlyn_P, Jul 2025
The zip-lining experience was AWESOME. It was our first time doing it and it was truly amazing. It was a full body work out with all the walking etc but it was definitely worth it. The buggies were also really good. PJ was our guide and he made it very amusing. We weren't able to swim in the river because of rain falling on the top of the mountain but it was still a great photo opportunity. Special shout out to our driver Manuel and excursion guide Gary I would definitely be coming back when I have the chance.

Great experience!

Be prepared for a long drive to the establishment. It took us over an hour from La Romana (Punta Cana is an hour too). Overall we rate it a 5 star. The buggies were fun, but be prepared to get dirty if you drive aggressively. You can stay dry if you are slower on the path. The zip line was fast paced. There are 12 different zip lines, one was over 2800 feet long. There’s a lot of stairs, but wasn’t too bad. It was overall a great experience and I’d highly recommend it.

Zip Line awesome

Ivan_M, Jan 2025
Sooooo goooooood Zip Line , Buggy can be longer little bit and more extreme and fun but Zip Line was great and fun.

Awesome time!

Pj was awesome with the buggies, he was knowledgeable, friendly and funny! Munchie was also awesome! Great people. We had a ton of fun and also really enjoyed the zip lines!

Jungle Buggies & Zip Lines

Amy_S, Jan 2025
We did the jungle buggies and zip lines as a package deal on a Friday in January 2025. After reading many other reviews, we expected the long pick-up process but were more than entertained by Eddie and Juan (our guide and driver). Eddie gave us interesting and thoughtful commentary on the towns we passed through, explaining a typical day in the life of a working Dominican. He talked about diet, infrastructure cost of living and his experience as a 20+ years guide in the tourism industry. The jungle buggies were a lot of fun but we felt the ride was a bit lacking in the jungle department. While we did drive through carefully manicured dirt roads through the brush (taking a pit stop in front of a beautiful river for a photo op), we spent more time on paved roads than we were expecting. The bandanas we brought with us weren’t really needed, perhaps because it had rained that morning and therefore there wasn’t much dirt to kick up? I would still bring them with you, just in case. Our guide, Johnny Tequila, took us to a house to sample fresh coffee, hot chocolate, and try cocoa butter. All was for sale, of course. Once the buggies were over, we had a truly excellent traditional Dominican lunch (with hot dogs available for those less-adventurous). Some reviews mentioned that there wasn’t enough food or water offered for the length of the excursion and I couldn’t disagree more! Bottled water was offered at numerous point throughout the day, and the generous lunch boasted salad, fried chicken, sancocho, rice and beans, pasta salad, hot dogs, and tons of fresh fruit. We packed some snacks with us, just in case, and they went untouched. After lunch we did the zip lines and while I had a fantastic time, my partner did not. His harness was not fitted properly and he was very uncomfortable throughout the entire course. It’s now 5 days later and he’s sporting some gnarly bruises on his legs and abdomen. My advice: if you feel uncomfortable, then something’s wrong and you should ask to have your harness adjusted until you feel good. The course was a lot of fun and the team did a great job explaining the rules and techniques to follow. Views were fantastic and we got some good speed on the longer tracks. One thing I wasn’t expecting was for my ears to be ringing for hours afterwards (it’s surprisingly loud!). Nothing I couldn’t handle and it went away by the evening, but if you have sensitive hearing, maybe consider packing some ear plugs with you. The trip home was much shorter, as they grouped us up with only a few others in nearby hotels. All-in-all, a good excursion for me and an okay excursion for my partner.

Adventurous day with a lot of fun

Anna_G, Jan 2025
A really good day, buggies and zipline. Nice people and a lot a fun. The kids (6 and 9 years) loved all activitys, most they loved the zipline

4 vehicles 8 family members.

Alex_v, Dec 2024
Very nice, pleasant guide “Johnny Dynamite”, a little too much asphalt for a 4x4 experience, that we never used the 4x4 on the vehicle. The coffee house was nice.

Great Excursion!

Danielle_D, Aug 2024
The actual excursion is Phenomenal. The people are extremely welcoming, helpful, and understanding. My only dislike is arrangements for transportation. Being the first person to picked up, I was on the transportation for two hours before getting to the excursion. We made multiple stops before getting to the location, making rearrangements with other other transport vehicles. If you would like to cut out this, I would recommend arranging private transportation to and from the excursion or take the risk of being on a bus for two hours one way.

Great excursion.

Great excursion. PJ was our buggies guide and is a person you will never forget. Would definitely recommend this excursion.

Ziplines + Buggies 💯

Armond_M, May 2024
Great experience. PJ and Nacho were great guides. The zip line was fun also. The ATVs were in great shape. Definitely a lot of walking so be prepared. I’d definitely recommend.

Making Memories

Rebecca_M, Mar 2024
The tour guides were fabulous!! The scenery was gorgeous! I recommend this activity!! All the staff made you feel like family!!

We are planning the next Jungle Buggie trip.

Elisabeth_T, Jun 2023
Mother/daughter bonding trip. Her only complaint was that she wanted to drive faster through the mud so that I was covered head to toe. Gotta love them. My son would have loved it so we will be coming back so that he can attempt to fling mud on me too. I highly recommend it to 18 and over drivers. So fun. The guys that run this are amazing and funny. They make the trip enev better. On a purely personal note, please remember to trip them based on your experience. They do not expect it and many have said that they feel blessed with our generosity. $5, $10 or more if you want. For an extremely poor country, this is what they live on. To give a little scope, they are usually making about $1/hr.

Do it!

Hallie_H, May 2023
It was an amazing experience all the way around! So much fun! Our trip was Jesus and he made sure everything went smoothly! From start to finish it was wonderful. Shout out to PJ our buggie guide . He was a lot of fun

Get ready to be muddy!

Melissa_C, Nov 2022
The buggies were so awesome!! Loved getting muddy and tooling around. Stopped at a beautiful river/waterfall got to swim. Then we were treated to a quick lunch before heading out to zipline. Ziplining was great, a few flights of stairs to climb but it was beautiful scenery. Only negative was that we had to wait over an hour to come home because another group wasn’t finished with their excursion.

We did not even go on...

Juan_T, Sep 2022
We did not even go on this excursion. They sent a message at 7:03 am THE DAY OF about pick up being at 6:50. We asked them to give us 5 minutes to walk over to the lobby but they left us! They do not offer refunds and asked us to reschedule however we are already back home. Horrible experience! 0/10

Response from Host, Sep 2022

Hello, We are sorry, but as we advertise in the tour details and confirmation details you need to be at the meeting point on time. We offer you a reschedule despite this Regards

Amazing fun

Ismael_G, Jun 2022
This was definitely worth the money. The views were incredible and our tour guides, Chris sexy papi 6 and PJ were hilarious and made the experience. We did have to wait to get on the zip lines, but could purchase items, snacks and beer while we waiting plus the views of the place were beautiful. Definitely worth it!

Amazing experience

Seth_M, May 2022
They let you go fast and hard! Expect to get covered in mud, wet from swimming, and to have an amazing time!

Outstanding Excursion, but a travel nightmare

Virgenal_O, Apr 2022
Pros: Overall, an amazing excursion. First, you drive through a local town and get alot of history from the tour guide, who is awesome. You eventually arrive to the location, and we first did the Jungle Buggys, which were fantastic and very fun. After this, they showed us how chocolate was made, and we had some delicious coffee and chocolate, as well as a taste of the MamaJuana (the taste convinced us, we bought a full bottle 5 minutes later). After this, we did the Ziplines, which were breathtaking and exhilarating. The entire day was amazing, and we felt safe the entire time. The whole crew was very enthusiastic and really wanted to make sure everyone had a fantastic time. Cons: For us, this approximately 6 hour listed excursion turned into over 10 hours. The amount of waiting & dropping other people off easily combined to 5 hours of travel time. They made us wait at least 45 minutes for other passengers to get on the bus who got there much later than us, and some were doing excursions we didn't even sign up for (if we had to wait on them, we may as well have gone to those excursions too!). They only fed us 3 Empanadas, so by the end of the day and getting back to our hotel, we were just aggravated and starving. Definitely could improve on the travel and communication, because if we had known about this, we may not have gone. If this could be fixed though, it'd easily be a must-go-to excursion for everyone.

Flying in the sky and driving through the mud.

Nigel_R, Apr 2022
Young boy brought the energy to the bus and gave background information on historical landmarks while in route. PJ was an excellent guide on the dune buggy. He made sure we went through the muddiest trails. Tarzan took great pictures that will serve as a lasting memory. The empanadas were okay, but the hot chocolate and coffee were so delicious. We had to buy some to bring home! There are 12 zip lines and it was a workout hiking the trail, but the views were incredible. The staff made sure we were safe with getting hooked on and hooked off. Make sure to bring a bathing suit for the dune buggy because you will be going to a river! We highly recommend this excursion!
