Jose took us to 5 very different bars and we loved everyone of them. He dropped and picked up up right at every bar and even kept an eye on us while we enjoyed ourselves to make sure everything went well. I can not recommend this excursion enough!

So Much Fun!

I was recently on a bday/girls trip and we wanted to explore the Punta Cana nightlife but didn't know where we should go and also wanted to feel safe. Booking this bar crawl was the perfect solution! Jose was so kind and explained what to expect. He was very flexible and let us decide how much time we wanted to spend at each place so we didn't feel rushed at all. And he was always nearby or checking in to make sure we were having a good time. When the night was over he let us take over the music and scream sing the 30 minute drive back to the resort. I would 1000% recommend this service to anyone looking to explore different bars/restaurants and have a good time. Thanks again Jose you're the best! And we're sorry about your ears..

If you do not book with Jose what are you doing? A TIME WAS HAD!!!! From the beginning to the end. Complimentary drinks as soon as you entered his ride. Music was on point. Jose is the best tour guide in the DR. This is not a joke. When you come to Punta Cana if you don’t book with Jose you may as well stay at home (wherever your’re from) or the resort you booked with. No SERVICE WAS BETTER than DRLOCALS!!! PERIODT

Quiet disappointed

Although jose came to pick us up on time we were disappointed about the trip. Jose dropped us off at a small local bar called one republic. He told us that he would be back in twenty minutes, and that he had to go pick up another couple. A bit perplexed by this, we were left in a local bar with no wi.Fi. what kind of tour guide leaves 2 patrons by themselves and drives off to pick up another couple who never was in the Van when he returned back. .Jose did not communicate with the bartender that we were there for the bar crawl. When I explained to the bartender that we were here for a bar crawl, she had no knowledge of what I was talking about. We purchased a soft drink and one cocktail. And we just sat there for over twenty five minutes, waiting for jose to come back. No one in the bar checked in on us to ask if we were okay or needed anything else. Jose, then returned, and we asked for better clarification on how the bar crawl works and what is included and not included in the bar crawl. We had to pay for the soft drink and cocktail. Upon further clarification we declined the remainder of the bar crawl due to the fact that we were already staying an all inclusive resort.

Dissapointing experience this time

I really wanted to see local way of life so I paid double for 2 people as they did not accept single bookings. There was one other lady on the trip who did the same so we spend 70 dollars to be taken to a few bars. Jose the 'guide' was nice but did not join in which we were dissapointed at as we thoughtpart if thbfhn would be tonsitnand chat with ournfuide to lean more about the culture and people but he say waiting for us. The bars were a poor choice mainly appart from the last one that we saw from the coach and asked to go to and there was a chilled atmosphere with dominican music playing etc. sorry just felt like a bit of a rip off and not much care out into the trip by the organiser at all. I think as there were 2 of us he didn't feel he needed to make an effort which was a shame for us

Jose and his son, Ron, are amazing! Jose was very communicative, hospitable, and attentive during our tour. He dealt with a rowdy bunch (lol) but made sure we had a good time. I would definitely book with him again!

Amazing!!! We had so much fun! Had a bottle of rum for us to drink on our way to the different bars. The driver was so kind and fun! All the different bars were such an amazing experience. Would 100% do it again when we come back to DR.

We had a brilliant night in Punta Cana on this bar crawl experience. Jose was our guide and was great and picked some good spots traditional and lively night bars transport was seamless between bars and you can eat and drink at most of bars.

What a great time! Viator was able to accommodate our group of 14 friends for a Bar Crawl on St Patty's Day 2024. Our guides, Jose and Eli, were outstanding, they lined up four places for us to visit and they hit a homerun! The van was clean and and held all 14 of us comfortably. They were both very knowledgeable, friendly and stayed off to the side, yet were available to answer our questions, as we explored at each stop. We stopped at: Our Republic Bar - A very nice open air bar La Terraza - Unique! A car wash and detailer, barbershop, and bar. We all liked this stop Hard Rock Cafe - No matter where you go in the world the Hard Rock is a must Pal Patio - At least nine, if not a dozen, bars/restaurants in one place If you're planning a trip to Punta Cana and are looking for a company to take you around, look up Viator through Trip Advisor! Highly recommended!

People picking us up was great. 1st bar we went to - we had to order 6 different items and they were out of most foods. 2nd bar we went to - there was no running water, toilets did not flush, and we were going on top of others.

Great tour but skip Wacamole

Great host and great experience. Customer service at restaurants and bars in Punta Cana is generally horrible. The worst was Wacamole. I recommend asking the tour guide to skip Wacamole and take you to other bars instead

Going to the street bar Ur Republic was great! The tour guide knew the owner and it was a very personal experience. We also got to see and party at the Downtown Punta Cana area. Our tour guide was able to give us a rundown on the different nationality focuses of the bars there and we had time to try a couple of them. It was only 2 of us, but would’ve been very fun with a group! Highly recommend!

The guides were great, very flexible, informative, and spoke English very well. We felt very safe knowing they had an eye on us but were distant enough not to take away from the experience. I am a beer guy, the resorts have enough liquor to not have to venture out. In my experience, Punta Cana's beer selection is very limited when compared to the states, especially at the resorts. However we did visit the brewery, which has liquor, and the UR Republic which both had a nice assortment. Those spots made the trip worthwhile.

A safe way to explore

It was just a girlfriend and I on the tour and naturally we had safety in the back of our minds. Jose made us feel so comfortable and was so kind. He was flexible if we wanted to stay at one spot more than another. He was never too far away to notice when we were ready to head out, and certainly never overbearing. My friend nor I knew any Spanish and Jose was quick to help when there was an issue with converting one of the bar tabs. We got to see some super neat spots that we would have never known about other wise. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who wants to safely explore the local culture outside of the resorts!
