It was an incredibly enlightening and rewarding experience. The chance to learn about the local cultures and to see the beautiful scenery was excellent.
The only problem was the boat.... the fumes from the exhaust continually came into the cabin. Blech! Not great at all. They really need to change the set up to provide a safer and more enjoyable experience on the boat...

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with us. We are delighted to know that you found the cultural experience enriching and enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Lake Titicaca. 🌅
We sincerely regret the discomfort caused by the boat exhaust fumes. Your feedback is very important to us, and we will be addressing this issue with our transportation partners to ensure a safer and more pleasant journey for all our guests.
We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again in the future for an even more comfortable experience.
Warm regards,

A great trip visiting 3 fascinating places. We loved the stay with a host family, so special. Great.

Beautiful tour with a good guide (Carlos?). Definitely worth spending the night on the lake so you get to see more. We climbed to the top of Amantani for sunset at Pachamama temple and I did it again for sunrise to see the other Pachatata temple.
The only thing that differed from expectations is that I had to share a room and we were told we'd have private bedrooms. Be warned you may not have running water/shower/flushing toilet at the homestead.
Lunch on the second day should be included in this tour for the price.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the tour and the guide. We are very sorry about the confusion regarding accommodations; we will review our communication to ensure that the information regarding the rooms is clear and accurate. We take note of your comment regarding the basic services on the island and the inclusion of lunch. Your feedback is invaluable to continue improving!

Going in I expected something a bit different but in the end I had a wonderful time. Pack light, I did not I had a suitcase. There is walking and hiking in which I love but really no where to store things so you have to take them from point A to point B to Point C etc. Weather changes from hot, to cold, to rain. So prepare the proper clothing for those circumferences also bring Soles with you since everything is cash only and you're going to want to buy beautiful artisanal artifacts on the islands and if you want any additional food or drinks as well. There's also very limited charging for phones and no wifi and limited cell service. It's a great way to disconnect. Overall it's beautiful you learn a lot about agricultural, Incan tribes and traditions and you hike about 26 km in one day to the temples which is pretty awesome. Also prepare for altitude sickness so drink the tea and chew on the cocoa leaves.

Dear Neil,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Planet Odysseys on Viator. We're thrilled to hear that you had a wonderful time exploring with us, despite the initial surprise at the adventure's nature!
Your feedback is invaluable, and it seems you've offered some excellent advice to future travelers about packing light and being prepared for the dynamic weather conditions and the physical aspects of the journey. Indeed, the trek from point A to B to C comes with its unique challenges, especially with personal belongings in tow. We appreciate your adaptability and spirit of adventure throughout this.
We also note your valuable tips on carrying cash in Soles for artisanal purchases and additional treats, along with preparing for the limited access to charging facilities, the absence of WiFi, and sparse cell service. It's heartening to hear that you embraced the opportunity to disconnect and immerse yourself fully in the natural beauty and cultural richness of the area.
The insights you've shared about the agricultural practices, Incan tribes, and traditions, not to mention the impressive 26 km hike to the temples, are exactly the kind of deep, enriching experiences we aim to provide. It's wonderful to know these were highlights for you.
Your advice on preparing for altitude sickness with local remedies like tea and coca leaves is spot on and something we always recommend to our guests as part of the acclimatization process.
We're continually striving to ensure our guests have the most enjoyable and enlightening experiences possible, and your review helps us and future travelers immensely. Thank you again for choosing Planet Odysseys for your adventure, and we hope to have the pleasure of guiding you on another journey soon.
Warm regards,
Ericka Mendoza.

I thought it was a very good tour. Ricardo our guid did an excellent job explaining things. I would have liked a warning in the tour description that we should have all our needs for the home stay in a small backpack because of a difficult walk to our houses. We had a large suitcase that we had to leave on the boat because it was to bulky to carry. We would have been better prepared if we had known. Otherwise a good tour.
Response from Host, Feb 2024
Dear William,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your tour with Planet Odysseys on Viator. We are delighted to hear that you found the tour to be very good and that Ricardo, your guide, excelled in providing insightful explanations throughout your journey. Our guides strive to offer enriching experiences, and it's heartening to know Ricardo met this mark.
We take your feedback regarding the need for a clearer warning about the logistics for the homestay very seriously. The comfort and preparedness of our guests are top priorities for us, and we understand how knowing in advance to pack essentials in a small backpack due to the challenging walk to the accommodations would have significantly enhanced your experience. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by not having this information beforehand, leading to the difficulty with your large suitcase.
Your valuable feedback has been noted, and we will take immediate steps to update our tour descriptions to include specific advisories about packing for the homestay segment. This will ensure future travelers are better informed and can prepare accordingly for a more comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Despite this oversight, we are glad to know you still found the tour to be good overall. We hope that the memories of the places and people you encountered during your journey with us remain positive and lasting.
Thank you once again for choosing Planet Odysseys and for your constructive feedback. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you on another adventure in the future, where we can exceed your expectations from start to finish.
Warmest regards,
Ericka Mendoza.

Too many products being sold to us on the trip. Made me feel a bit uncomfortable with how forceful it all was.
Response from Host, Jul 2022
Dear Matthew,
Thank you for taking time to share your thoughts. We understand that and do apologise for the inconvenience. However, this is the only source of income to the people living in these remote islands. We will surely mention this to the community head and see how we can manage this.
Once again, thank you for choosing to travel with us and sincere apologies for the inconvenience.
Regards,
Ericka

Response from Host, Mar 2024

Also wanderschuhe mitnehmen.
Response from Host, Sep 2023
Liebe/r Carola,
