Overall it was a great day out. We were met in the lobby of our hotel (the lady didn't even say hello to us, just called our name and hustled us out), then she put us on a minibus with our guide. We carefully stuck together to go on the boat - 2 sets of 16 people by my count, with 2 guides one of whom said nothing so it was really a tour of 32. We spent time on the reed island, took the optional boat (small extra fee), then went off the Taquile. Here there was a good length walk, but though the instructions said hiking boots it was not necessary. Yes, it is uphill, but the path is good and no special grip was needed. The lunch (with a great view) was very good. We then went down the slope to get the boat back.
Our guide looked after us well. Some of his speeches (first in Spanish then English) seemed to go a long time (especially in Spanish) and I do recommend he speak slower in English - even if the information is therefore less, at least it will get communicated. The English-as-a-second-language Europeans got really lost, and there were times I could not catch the words. This is a general problem we have found with Spanish-speaking guides.

Expert guide Sam. Friendly, kind and so full of knowledge which he was happy to share. Made our day very comfortable and nothing was too much trouble. The trip itself was enjoyable and interesting to see the lovely Islands and have lunch.

Our records confirm that a dedicated private guide was assigned to your group. He introduced himself at the boat, offered your group front-row seating, and accompanied you throughout the entire tour. At the Uros Islands, your group was taken to a separate floating island to ensure a more personalized experience, distinct from the larger groups.
The same approach was followed at Taquile, where you were taken to a different table at the restaurant and offered flexibility with the hiking route options.
Regarding the hiking route at Taquile, your group was offered a choice of paths at the beginning of the visit. Once a route was selected and coordinated with the boat captain, it was not possible to change it mid-way due to logistics as you wanted to do it.
Your guide for this tour was Samuel, one of our most experienced guides whose quality of service is reflected in numerous positive reviews from past travelers. We stand behind him and our team, and we're confident that your tour was conducted professionally and attentively.

Can’t find any fault from the tour. Everything was very well organised. From start to finish Mr Giovanni and our guide (Samuel) I think was his name were excellent. Explaining about the surrounding, life for the UROS. All were clear.

I booked what was advertised as a private tour (over $100), but to this day I’m still trying to understand what exactly I paid extra for. Throughout the entire experience, I was with a large group — no private sightseeing, transport, or additional attractions. Had I known this, I would have never chosen the private option. Besides the double price and a bottle of water included with lunch, there were no additional perks.
The visit to the Uros Islands was quite depressing and underwhelming — stopping at a single small community with two houses felt more like a staged presentation than a meaningful experience. As for Taquile Island, there was very little to see or explore; a random folklore show and a basic lunch were the highlights.
After four weeks of traveling across Peru, I can honestly say Lake Titicaca was one of the most disappointing stops. I’m not sure I would recommend it to my friends.
That said, the trip was generally well organized, and the guide was kind and spoke both English and Spanish. But make no mistake — this was not a private tour.

We had a great day on Lake Titicaca with Samuel as our guide.
The floating islands were incredible and then we went to one of the natural islands, Equaled.
It's a steep climb up to the village which is at 4000m above sea level but worth it. The day we were there was a festival taking place in the main square.
The boat was comfortable and we enjoyed every minute of the trip

Samuel was very knowledgeable, and we had a delicious lunch on Taquile. The boat was comfortable, and it was very interesting to see the islands / be on Lake Titicaca for the day.

This was overall a great experience, and I would recommend anyone to do it as well, although I did think there were some areas that could be improved.
The pickup from the hotel was easy and timely. They took us to board the boats, also a seamless experience.
There, we met our guide Samuel who was lovely, and our exclusive English guide for the day.
The first stop is the Uros Islands. It was a beautiful and unique experience, but we spent at least 20-30 minutes of dead-time there where we were kinda sitting around waiting to move on. I would’ve liked for us to move along a little quicker as they were really trying to sell us on riding the traditional reed boat to the next island.
We eventually made it to the Taquile Island which was incredible. However, I was disappointed to know that we weren’t going to be able to climb all the way to the very top point (something I had read about) because we wouldn’t have enough time. I think this could’ve been more clearly communicated ahead of time or planned out better so that we did have time. The experience on Taquile was lovely. It did involve a bit of a hike which would be tough for anyone not in shape, but once you reach the top, you have the opportunity to learn about the culture of the people there and enjoy a delicious meal.
The return boat trip was rough; very choppy experience and the boat was rocking back and forth a ton. There was also some water coming in through the cracks in the windows as a result of this. It wasn’t unbearable but if you get motion sickness or seasickness, it would be rough.
In total, great experience but could be improved with a little less dead-time on Uros and creating enough time for that full Taquile hike to the peak. And a smoother boat ride experience.
If you have a tough time with high altitude, this one isn’t good for you. It’s very very high. Also if you get seasick, don’t do this.
Otherwise, you’ll be satisfied overall with this experience!

Wonderful excursion! All aspects of the tour were communicated well and timely. The guides were friendly, professional and very informative/knowledgable of the history and facts of the area and its people. The floating islands of Uros were like nothing I have ever seen and the people/families of the islands are so warm and inviting of the opportunity to share their amazing culture and lifestyle. Taquile Island was also a wonderful and unique experience with incredible views of Lake Titikaka, cultural sharing with customary dress and dancing as well as a delightful traditional lunch on the island. Highly recommend this excursion. It was such a pleasurable experience.

The tour is not well explained in the description. The Uros islands are a great option, very interesting, our guide Samuel did a good job explaining things to us.
The climb in Taquile is strenuous, by the time you get up there to see the little square and dance and to eat you are exhausted, in my opinion not worth the trip. They should at least give a better description so you can make a good decision.
The boat was nice except for the bathroom, the toilet is up in a step and difficult to use.
Also, the make you climb from board to boat to get to yours, the last one, we did t have an issue but some of the older people traveling with us did.
This was our least favorite excursion in Perú. Also the least informative in the website and also the one who has the worst communication with us in advance.

We apologize if the climb in Taquile was more strenuous than expected. We do mention in the tour description that a moderate level of physical fitness is required and that there is an uphill walk of about 30-40 minutes due to the lack of motorized transport on the island to preserve its unique charm.
Regarding the toilet on the boat, we’re sorry to hear you had difficulty using it, is the first time we hear a complain about this.

An amazing trip!!
Our guide Samuel was great. Very knowledgeable. The boat is covered and comfy seats so even though it’s cold in the morning you don’t feel the wind.
The scenery is amazing, lunch was great. The lake is huge!

Any trip to Uros and Taquile islands will be touristy, but we still found it worth doing. However, we are not sure it was worth paying the higher rate for this tour.
A good thing about the higher rate tour was that there was a separate guide for seven of us. However, our guide was not that active -- one of the other guides, Victor, was better and more active.
We were pleasantly surprised by the included lunch -- it was very good and Victor's information in the post-lunch demonstration was very interesting.

This was a very nice tour of Uros and Taquile Island. I definitely recommend going out to Taquile as it is very different from Uros. The scenery was gorgeous, the dancing was fun and lunch was terrific. I am not sure I would call this a Speedboar as we went around 12 MPH but still a good day.

Samual was a great guide and was always watching out for us. He told us all sorts of interesting things about the people living on the islands and their customs. On the trip up to the square on Tequile he took many breaks with enough time for us to get our breath back. He always had some information to share during those breaks. The trip up was worth it, the views from the top were amazing. We enjoyed all parts of this tour, the floating islands, Tequile, the lunch and the boat ride on the lake.

our trip was nice with an english guide, who explained in detail all the history, culture, agriculture and plants of uros and taquile. They are both people living on the Titicaca lake, but with very different lifestyle. Uros people live selfmade floating island, Taqueile people do terraces agriculture. They have a rich textile skills recognized by unesco. Scenary on Taquile is very beautiful. We had a nice lunch on the island overlooking titicaca lake. I highly recommend the tour

This is a good boat tour of Lake Titicaca, arrangements were good, a good speedboat, good English speaking guide etc. Urus island was ok to get some idea of the manmade islands and their lifestyle but Taquile islands are spectacular and this is where the lake can be appreciated in all its beauty. Lunch in the island was good

Samuel our English speaking guwas excellent. He was patient with all in group, very knowledgeable of Uros Islands history and traditions.
Overall I expected to ask to purchase items, and found this experience not pushy as expected fom other reviews.
Only negative is we were told in email communications that our group would be max 12. But was not communicated that we were sharing boat with another group of approximately 15

Our guide Samuel was excellent guide and very informative.Climbing up hill during trekking in Taquile Island was quite hard,because we had spent just few days in higher altitudes,otherwise the trip was very nice.

Awesome tour where you get to visit one of the biggest lakes in the world, some of its isles and its people.
Beyond the beautiful lake and islands, you get to know about other cultures, their costumes and people.

It was a great cultural experience. Our guide Samuel was very professional and knowledgeable. He spoke very fluent English and command great communications.
The boat was comfortable and seems quite fast navigating The water. The loca people seem mostly genuine and courteous, although tourism already became big part of their life and as expected there would be performances/food/traditional boat ride that they expect you to pay extra for.
Our trip lasted from 7am pick up until 4am back to port and final drop off at main square.
Overall recommended.

My wife and I were very impressed by our guide Samuel. Very knowledgeable, respectful, great sense of humor. He was very helpful in dealing with high altitude sickness we experienced providing not just frequent breaks to catch the breath but by sharing personal remedies. Guide to dream about
