Tour and transportation were good. When you think about the cost of transport from Positano to Pompeii, and the tour tickets and a guide, I think it makes sense. But if you are budget conscious, I would review some alternative options. Our tour guide was phenomenal and made it a great experience!! Pickup is usually early if you go for the morning slot, so make sure to have your own coffee/breakfast if you need something before you get back. There are a couple small food stands when you arrive, but you don’t really have time to get anything.

The tour with Frankie was absolutely incredible! From the moment we were picked up, everything was seamless—the friendly driver took great care of us and handed us off to the coordinator, who set us up perfectly with Frankie. Even though it ended up pouring rain during the tour, Frankie turned it into one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. His energy, knowledge, and warmth kept everyone in great spirits, and our group had a fantastic time regardless of the weather. Truly unforgettable—highly recommend!

This was extremely fun and well organised. Keep in mind that most tours like this only scratch the surface, as Pompeii is huge.
Includes transport, guide, lots of walking, and plenty of informative tidbits.

The worst experience I've ever had on my travels. Starting with the fact that 30 minutes before they changed the pickup point, upon arriving at the car, the driver saw that my daughter was young (1 year old) and didn't say anything, he just opened the door and we got in. In the middle of the road, with no internet or Wi-Fi signal, with the mountains on one side and the sea on the other, a guy named Emanuele, supposedly the boss, called and said that we hadn't even told them we had a baby and that we had to get off in the middle of nowhere. Anyway, the driver dropped us off at our destination, but we couldn't get back with them. It was a disaster and they were very rude because they couldn't even tell us, because if they had known, we wouldn't have gotten in that car. TRULY, IT WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD. THEY DIDN'T CARE THAT YOU HAD A BABY, THEY LEFT US STRANDED 1:30 from our hotel and we had to pay a taxi that cost 250 euros because THEY LEFT US STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE

Dear customer, you need to tell the truth about these things since there were other people present who witnessed everything, we are a serious company that cares about safety and will make a reservation for 2 people and then without notifying anyone show up with a baby of a few months and recklessly if an accident happened we were responsible and not you that is why Emanuele told you it was irresponsible since the minivan was not equipped to transport the baby putting at risk both the safety of the baby himself. You abandoned the tour without anyone telling you to do so after we sent you the entrance tickets, and you did not return to the meeting point where a driver with a child seat was waiting for you to take you to Positano safely and to witness everything there were all the other customers of the tour. We are only sorry that even if you made a serious mistake you blame us

This was a great tour of Pompeii! It was so easy with pickup and drop off in Positano and the tour itself was a good length for those interested in the big highlights. Frankie, our tour guide, kept us laughing with his jokes and simultaneously impressed us with his depth of knowledge on Pompeii.

The driver to and from was lovely but the tour guide for pompeii and the visit to pompeii were terrible. We barely saw anything the tour moved so slowly and spent 20 minutes talking outside pompeii. Why couldn't we walk and talk? We would have preferred to walk around by ourselves with an audio guide as we would have seen more. We were so disappointed. This was the worst experience of our trip.

We had a wonderful day. We were picked up at our hotel and taken to Pompeii to meet our guide Frankie. He spoke perfect english, had a great sense of humor, and our tour was only 8 people. This small group allowed for questions and easy to hear our guide. I would highly recommend this tour.

We had a small group of 11 which really helped us stay together, move through quickly and be able to hear our guide easily. Our guide was very knowledgeable and easy to understand. Glad we only did the morning tour. Was very busy.

Francesco was an outstanding tour guide! He had us call him Frankie. Frankie was very knowledgeable about the history of Pompeii. He was a lot of fun and kept us very engaged. He encouraged questions and was able to answer our group’s questions very well. It was lightly raining for part of the tour. I appreciated that Frankie took care to alert us to slippery areas of the walk and any large steps or slippery stones. He really did care about everyone in the group! What an amazing tour this was! I would go back and do it again!
My only constructive criticism is the Transfer part of the tour. My hotel was high up in Positano, and the front entrance/address is pedestrian only. The back entrance where cars can drive is a different address, not of the hotel. I was trying to communicate the meeting place through the Viator app. No one ever communicated back with me through the Viator app, which worried me. This has happened throughout my tour of Italy with Viator. None of the tour vendor companies use the Viator app to communicate with their guests. I eventually figured out how to contact the company directly to ensure that I was picked up at the right place. I also contacted Viator directly and they were able to help me coordinate my pick up.

Julianna was so well informed. She made the tour enjoyable for me, someone that finds history fascinating, as well as my wife who at times could care less about history. Our guide was excellent and spoke very good English. She gave us a very good overview of the city and I think we saw all of the highlights. A very thought-provoking experience as well as sad to think of all of the many thousands of people killed by the volcano's eruption. I would highly recommend going on the tour to anyone.

It was included in our tour that they would collect us from our hotel and drop us back to our hotel after the tour. Our hotel was in Positano, so with traffic was an hours drive. We were expecting a bus but because there was only two of us we had a private car collect us. It was a new car with air conditioning, it was great. We were then taken straight to our guide. There was another couple in our tour so the tour was nice and small and easy to understand without a heap of people. Our tour guide was Frankie. ( ohhh mummamia) He was absolutely fantastic! He was very funny also! We loved him. After the tour we were then taken straight back to our hotel in the same car. It was the best tour so informative and interesting. We had the best time.

Our tour guide Sasa was awesome! I wish the tour was a little longer but it was HOT! Sasa made sure we were in the shade for 90% of the tour which made it much more enjoyable and he was very informative d passionate about what he does, LOVED it!
